  • Hot on the heels of the esteemed Mr B’s own video explaining this technique, here’s my take on it. Two five-step sequences from the 245t are fed into the cross-fader on the 257t, which is then modulated by an LFO from Tides to produce a continuously evolving blend of the two. In addition, I’m quantising the result into a minor scale, further nudging it about with an eight-step sequence from Marbles, and using Tides to rhythmically lengthen the decay stage of the envelope too. To be fair, I could probably have performed all the modulation with the 266t random thingy, but I’ve lost a lot of confidence with some of the modular gear post-Covid, and I’m going to have to refamiliarise myself with it before using it again. Videos, manual, that sort of thing…
Like and subscribe, good people, spread the word and keep playing with all your gear. I’ve taken the dust cover off the Syntrx II again, and am liking what it does- although replicating some of the sounds in the ES patch book ain’t easy. I suppose that’s analogue gear for you!
    Thanks for watching!

That was great. Now I got my monitors back I might wire up power to my synths and do some sequencing with my mmt8 later. It’s too cold to do any busking. All your modulating of the cross fader really kept the sequence evolving, even if it was only 5 notes long.

Oh yes. Next step is to feed a similar sequence into the Syntrx…
