Dreadbox Typhon, Microfreak- ‘Orion’- RtB

With reliable cv to midi in the case (Tubbutec uTune), the Typhon can join the modular party- and the Microfreak’s arp function comes in handy sometimes too. By an odd coincidence, the presets used here happens to be named ‘Orion’ on both synths, so the title is a bit of a no-brainer. I make no apologies for the fact that this is 5/4 again; nor will this be the last time that this 5/10 note sequence is used.
The eagle-eyed may have spotted a change to the left-hand case. It used to stand upright (making the modules on the bottom row harder to use), but now leans at a useful angle thanks to my remembering that, despite having sold all three Moog desktop synths, I still had the trio’s stand. It was the work of minutes to screw the (temporarily empty) case into a frame that was within a few millimetres of being just the right size, and all 168hp is now readily accessible.
Like and subscribe, good people, spread the word and make the most of your hardware. I’ve pretty much got to the stage where all the remaining desktop gear plays nicely with one or both of the modular set-ups; the last few items that don’t will be gone ere long.
