Hi, thank you for the video and excellent info. If will take Business Class and we arrive at 1700 pm pray on time with 10 hours layover, how long would you give before we took this tour? We not sure how long transit time to the Discover Qatar tour desk. Right now we there is 1900, 2000 and 2130 (3) hour tours. Thanks
Thank you! They usually require guests to sign in at the tour desk least 2 hours before the tour to allow enough time to get through immigration. You may be able to make it for the 7pm tour but I’d recommend waiting till you arrive at Doha airport to sign up for the tour to be safe.
Hey this is a nice video.
You shouldn’t need a visa for the transit tour. The transit tour staff will provide a transit tour slip that you can use to go through immigration. You can double check this link on the transit visa information: visitqatar.com/intl-en/practical-info/visas/visa-details
hy, is enough time to see everything is important with this tour? or is better by my self?
Yes, we had enough time for all these sights (3 stops) and didn’t feel rushed at all. We were also given time to do shopping at Souq Waqif. The tour was certainly a very easy and convenient way to see all these sights in a short period of time.
Hello, is the ticket for city tour for booking on website only? or can we buy the ticket on the spot at the airport when we get there without booking on website?
You can wait till you arrive at Doha airport to purchase the city tour. You can book the tour at the Discover Qatar desk (close to the Teddy Bear).
Hey, as i can see you entered the business lounge and for upcoming journey i also have 19 hr of layover at doha and also want to do the transit city tour.
1. Do they allow multiple time entry at lounge ? Eg. before and after the city tour?
2. Where we can store the luggage?
Yes, as long as you have your business class ticket, you can enter and exit the business lounge as many times as you want. I went to two different lounges during my transit (one before the tour, and another one after the tour). I didn’t store my luggage at the lounge but I believe you should be able to store it in the locker. If not, the transit tour bus also have storage to keep your luggage. Hope that helps!
Hi there, in order to go to the qatar transit tour desk, before the giant teddy bear, this is after you pass the security controls or before? Thanks.
It is before security. The giant teddy bear is at the main terminal (airside). If your flight arrives at the gardens terminal you can take the train inside the airport to get to the main terminal. After you sign up for the tour, the staff will lead you through immigration.
Thanks. For each tour where you walked, roughly how long per trip? And did you have a chance to buy any nice souvenirs from any of the souq there ?
@@shadowking8223 For the first stop at Doha Cormiche (waterfront), we had a 10 min photo stop. 2nd stop Katara Cultural Village was about a 30min stop (tour guide walked us around the area), last stop at Souq was about an hour in total, incl. 30min for us to walk around ourselves so you should have enough time to buy souvenirs at the Souq.
@@alabamalaysia2532thank you. Appreciate the response. Nice video. Gives a heads up what to expect for this tour
@@shadowking8223You’re welcome! Hope you enjoy the tour! :)
Hi!! I will have a stopover for 9 hours in Doha and I want to take the transit tour, did you need a transit visa or permission to get out of the AirPort?
If you take the Discover Qatar transit tour from the airport, they will provide a slip that you can use to get through immigration, no transit visa required. Someone will guide you to the immigration and wait for everyone to clear immigration.
Hi thank you for this video. I plan to have a 20 hour layover landing in quatar early morning. How many tours can i do ?
Thanks! You could probably squeeze in 2 tours if the timing works out for you (e.g. 4-hr DISCOVER THE DESERT AND INLAND SEA, 3-hr DISCOVER DOHA). Here's a list of the tours available. www.discoverqatar.qa/transit-tours/
You can ask the Discover Qatar tour desk when you arrive and they can provide more details and suggest the timing that works best.
@alabamalaysia2532 wow thank you for this information. By the way should I do anything online ahead of time such as transit visa application and tour reservations or just wait until I physically have arrived at the airport?
@@senorblancosenorblanco You're welcome! You can book the tours online ahead of time, but I'd suggest to just wait till you arrive at the airport and book at the tour desk (just in case your flight delays). As for the transit visa, I don't think you'll need one but you can double check here based on your nationality. visitqatar.com/intl-en/practical-info/visas/visa-details
Based on my experience, the Discover Qatar staff will take care of it by providing you a slip of paper, which you will use to get through immigration. The staff will gather everyone at the tour desk (near the teddy bear) then lead you through immigration.
As soon as you land, go straight to the tour desk (it's in front of the teddy bear) to sign up for the tour. You can see the map for the tour desk here.

So there’s no limit on number of tours if we have enough time ?
Hi, did you pre-book online? or when you got there? how did you get staff to lead you through immigration? Thanks!
I booked the tour when I arrived at Qatar airport. We were given a time to meet at the tour desk, then the staff guided us through immigration.
Hi !! The tour just drive past Museum of Islamic Art but no stop at this place, right??
That’s correct, just drive by. We had a quick stop at the harbor for photos.
Hi it says to check in for your at least 2 hours before, is this correct? And thanks for sharing
You are welcome! For our 3pm tour, we were asked to meet at the tour desk around 1.45pm, which was less than 2 hours. The 2 hours is to make sure that everyone has sufficient time to get through immigration. I was also worried about the 2 hours so I chose to book the tour in person after arriving (instead of booking online).
@@alabamalaysia2532hello sis, is there limited seat in this tour? What if i didn’t book the ticket online? Can i still get the tickets if i buy it on the desk?? Please help me, thank you 🙏🏻
@@laura.sharon The bus can fit 30-40 people and shouldn’t be full so you should be fine waiting till you arrive to book the tour. I booked the tour after arriving at the airport and there were less than 10 ppl on our tour
@@alabamalaysia2532 so better buy it offline on the tour desk rather than booking online, right ??
@@laura.sharon Yes, that’s what I decided to do in case of flight delays. Go straight to the tour desk as soon as you arrive and they will let you know the next tour you can book.
Hi, what currency will they accept for the counter booking?
If i want to buy something at the market, can i use USD or must be in Riyal?
I used credit card to pay for the tour at the counter upon booking. I believe it was charged using the local currency.
You'd have to use the local currency in the market, and the tour guide told us where the atm machine was.
Hi, do you know if Qatar airway Business class passengers are allowed to have complimentary access to MAS Golden Lounge at KLIA?
@@arvinjong1037 I was given a voucher to the Plaza Premium First Lounge when I flew on Qatar Business Class from KL.
Hello thanks for the video, what is the price of this tour in USD?
The current cost for this tour is QAR115 (approx $30).
I heard 27 USD before. Not sure now
I have another question, did you needed visa for this tour? From Malaysia
No visa needed for Malaysian. You will be given a slip by the tour desk staff which you will use to get through immigration.
@@alabamalaysia2532 thanks, appreciate the reply
In transit tour, they will provide us transit visa and transport right?
Yes they will provide the slip in 0:03 which you will use to go through immigration. Transport by bus (0:29) to all the sights is also included. The cost is QAR99 ($27).
@@alabamalaysia2532 They will provide slip for all nationalities? This means I don't have to apply visa.
@@roshanshah3837 Yes that’s correct. You’ll get the slip when you sign up for the tour at the counter, then a staff will take you to the immigration area where you’ll go through the normal immigration procedures (provide the slip to show that you’re going on the tour), and the staff will be waiting for you after you get through immigration to lead you to the bus.
hi sister during transit tour they put entry exit stamp on passport??
I was checking my passport and couldn’t find a stamp for Qatar. They may have just stamped on another piece of paper for the transit tour.
@@alabamalaysia2532 means no entry Stamp on passport! I seen one UA-camr she saying she get stamp! You check again your passport
I have 7 hours layover in Doha! I want to get 3 hours trip ? Can i get on 7 hours layover?
According to the website you should have at least 8 hours layover to go on the transit tour, but if your flight happen to arrive Doha early, you can try to go to the Tour Desk as soon as you land to ask if they’d let you sign up for it.
Do we need a Qatar health insurance/ travel insurance for this?
No you don’t need.
hi sister,i will have a transit in qatar for about 12 hours,if I will be out of the airport,I need a transit visa, which is the imigration will provide us right,am uae residential if don't mind please guide me it's my first time transit more thn 8 hours
