Hi! Thanks for the insightful video! May I check where did you leave your luggage/baggage at while you were away for the tour? I am looking to see if there is a luggage storage platform in the airport.
Hey Kenny , we had our carry on with us … the bus 🚌 has storage for the luggage, during the tour ( 3/4 hours) …. Once done with the tour simply take your baggage and re enter the airport. Hope that helps .
Thanks for the video! Planning to do this soon. I read that they want you to check in 2 hours before the tour, but did they have any rules about the timing of tour ending and when your next flight would be?
Thanks for checking us out … well the 2 hr pre tour check in is true … but it’s not like to the ‘T’ precise to be honest … the tour is roughly 3-4 hrs long .. so I would suggest plan accordingly with atleast 2 hrs buffer from the tour ending time to your flight boarding time … hope that helps !
Great Video!! Could you please confirm me is this the right way. After landing in Doha, we should go the Discover Qatar helpdesk and book the transit tours that suits us. Then the guide will help us with the immigration process. Since India falls under list of countries for visa on arrival, I believe that there is no necessity to hold a transit visa for the above tour ? If Yes, could you please share some more details on how to apply for transit visa? Thanks
Hi yes you got it right… India is among the visa exempt countries… the immigration desk will take care of the stamping … just contact the Discover Qatar desk , next to the Golden Bear … they will guide you through as shown in this video.
Awesome video, thanks! I have a question though, for those whose country are eligible for free visa on arrival, do you know whether we have to get them on our own or does the tour help with that before clearing immigration?
Hey , thanks for checking out our channel… the tour operator will help you with the immigration for the one time entry visa just before taking the tour bus . It is very well organized and practically seamless.. hope that helps.
Can you tell me if all the souvenir shops and other shops takes card payment? I have a debit card of n26 which is valid for almost all currencies worldwide. So is the card enough in all kind of shops or need to exchange cash as well?
Hello, I have my flight layover for 8hr 10 min at Doha airport, will they ask for hotel stay booking for issuing transit visa if we want to take a transit tour during this layover?
No with this bus tour you cannot … as at the beginning when you are accompanied by the tour operator to the immigration counter, they only issue exit pass associated with the bus tour … but if your country is visa exempt I would suggest to check with immigration officer..
I am planning to travel to Nepal, and during that time I was thinking of doing a layover in Qatar, so my question is it worth it? or should I make Dubai a layover? what is your recommendation brother? Thank you in advance brother :)
Thanks for checking out the channel … Doha is worth a layover as this adds another dimension to a Middle Eastern experience… if possible do both the city tour and the dunes and inland tour. All the best with your Nepal 🇳🇵 travel… good luck 🍀
@@NodesofTravel I might have a night layover so it might be different than yours so all the places might be closed. Is Dunes and Inland tours more expensive and more detailed timing?
Hello, I have flight from Germany to Doha. And I also have 19 hours layover there. I have Indian passport, so how to apply for that 3 hours trip to the city?
Sagar, you should be good with India passport as India comes in the list of countries that Qatar allows entry with visa on arrival … Next, you can check : www.discoverqatar.qa … check for Transit Tours … you can pre book at this site or just book directly at the travel desk at Hamad airport itself which I have explained in the video. Hope that helps. And thanks for watching. 😊
This was a really informative and well structured video. Thank you. However, I have a question. My family and I will be traveling from Italy to Kuwait with a layover in Doha for 9 hours. I booked the transit tour online. We are Indian Passport Holders residing in the GCC, so do we need a transit visa or visa on arrival please? And how much does either visa cost? Thank you very much!
@@NodesofTravel hi Good day, just let you know, Indian passport holders need either a visa on arrival or a hotel booking for the discover Doha trip. We had a flight delay and reached only 45 minutes before the trip and they said they cannot process the visa and asked us to book a hotel instead which costed us more than the trip itself.
@@anshelsaldanha7697 sorry for confusion , I meant to say that Indian passport holders don't need visa beforehand, only visa on arrival provided which Discover Qatar travel desk helps arrange. I think the fact the unfortunate flight delay caused the issue. So sad to hear that it didnt go well as planned.
Thanks for checking us out .. you will get 40 mins to explore at your own the Souq Waqif... I guess that should be good time to purchase souvenirs for most .. Immigration depends on your passport. If you are a passport holder from a visa exempt country then you don’t need anything beforehand … the bus tour company will take care of your immigration formalities en route
