- So finally i purchased a small set of polychromos since so many people recommended them for me. And as expected they have high quality pigments, are excellent for details and rarely has breakage issues.
So here i am doing a small demo of them on a rough watercolor paper. even on a rough paper, they work really well.
This drawing took me around 1.5 hours.

For anyone who is asking: he used distilled turpentine to blend, however now he uses baby oil.
Jade H baby oil is the best blender haha
Yes we can clearly hear him tell us thank you

This insanely good. Especially for his first time using these pencils!!!!I cant wait to see what he can do once he practices with them.
Thanks to you Fadil, and thanks to your cupcake I learnt to use colored pencils properly, and I began 4 years ago... thank you for your precious advices.
the music sounds like its from professor layton
Luke! This reminds me of a puzzle!
I love the music.
It made me nostalgic of that 90’s late night tv music when nothing was on
omg yes, like an early game cutscene😭
I recently purchased this set and have just started to use them in the last week. Thank you for your demonstration - the drawing is beautiful. I have subscribed and look forward to watching more of your videos.
well, I've tried your picture myself, using the new Faber-Castell Polychromes - lovely! I wish my drawing was as nice as yours though .....thanks!
Great job! I love that you demonstrated the 24 color set.
+Dee Dee Thank you :D
Wow, beautiful work + talent!
hello Fadil, i got the same set as a christmas present!! thank u for the video you are great! i ll try to draw something and send it!! thanks again for this video, i had no idea you have to do so many layers. i thougt they were normal pensils...lol
+jelasvarceneger haha!! with any pencils you have to do a lot of layering. it gives a depth and realism to the drawing. :D I am glad you got one set. send the finished picture to my facebook page. :D
Cool video! Thanks for the review of pencils, I want to try to draw with them!
What do you use to blend the colors? It's looks like a brush or something
Woahhhh! You're crazy talented! Well done!
+Maria Walker Thank you :D
the closed captions are a bit off
Petra what did he use for blending????
:P
Which one is the best polychromos or prisma colour
Beautiful! You have SO much talent!
irvinehiker Thank you !!
do u have to add something to blend them? They can't blend by themselves? I want to buy a polychromos set but I want to be able to blend them without using baby oil or turpentine
It is great to be able to draw such a beautiful picture only with a colored pencil! You have splendid talent!!
+新羅時雨 Thank you so much :D
Hi everyone! What's the best to blend Prismacolor? I tried with baby oil but it's not good.
What pencil extender do you use when they get shorter? It seems hard to get them inside the normal ones !
Well your coloring is good! *and here i could only blend 3 color max* btw whats the difference this pencil color and the standard one? *except for the color?
Hi Fadil beautiful work there! What was the pencil that you for the shadow?thanks
Bravo! Amazing artist!
Hi Ummar, Regarding mention imo, of solvent, please advise which solvent you are using here and how you apply it eg with a brush to your drawing, by dipping the pencil...?
For a first use of polychromos, this a beautiful rendering and thanks for sharing your knowledge, regards, Joe.
I see there is a mention of baby oil rather than distilled turpentine - a relief eg the strong odour of the latter, Ummar. please advise which make of baby oil you find best and as mentioned in my previous comment how it is applied. Thanks and regards, Joe.
Konsa solvent use kar te ho, ya kar na chaheye
How are the normal fabercastell colored pencils? Just wanted to know
By the way, great art
Thank you so much that was amazing and very helpful 👏🏻
nfnufah Thank you for watching :D
what's the difference between these and the one that come in a cardboard little box?
love love love faber castells, with the right paper they work wonders!
+Jasmine Hicks yes they do :D
Hey can u do this with faber castel water colour pencils
What did you use for blending?
Where did you buy the blending thing? I wanna buy it to
which liquid do u use for blending ?
Does baby oil dry? Or stays it sticky?
What shades or color No. You used? If any one know please tell me am trying to draw this painting
are these soft or hard colours like prisma verithin ?
I'm a beginner do you think 24 set is enough?
can i blend with water ?
I got the Winsor&Newton 75ml Distilled Turpentine on Amazon. Hope this makes my colored pencils even more vibrant!
did it work? i am thinking of buying it
@@scarletblack3182 better use baby oil. It's less toxic for you, it's cheaper and it also takes care of your brushes, reducing the damage to its bristles.
Very nice!👍🏻
I want this
What if instead of baby oil? (The pen)
i use pelikan color pencil when i color anything i cant color it full and i see a smal with splatter and i cant blend the color is this problem from the pencils and i want to buy faber castel classic color is it good like poly cromo and can i blend it
+Anas Al Jamal use a good paper first. It will help to improve the drawing. Faber castell classic is student grade. But i have heard they are reasonably good. But never as good as polychromos. If you use a good paper you can draw beautifully.
The problem with 24 pencil set is that there isnt any specific colors for skin tones. But they are still high quality pencils, just go for 48 or more color set if you have the budget.
Please kind sir, what paper have you used on this drawing? If you can't remember, what paper would you suggest for Polychromos? I would really appriciate your opinion
Please include the names of the colors of the pencils you are using. thanks
From where you bought this....
Which solvent did you usem
I bought a set of Prismacolor pencils. So excited! I've never tried drawing with colored pencils so I figured I would start with Prismacolor. I bought a set of 72 for $25. If I advance with my artistic journey(scared I won't be able to draw a squiggly line lol) I'll give the ones your using in this video a try. You're amazing and truly an inspiration. Will baby oil work okay with the Prismacolors?
al uno de las pencil de marca crayola long lasting bright y comparalos haber que resultado tienes
Do u like Polychromos better than Prismacolor?
What is the solvent called ??
What's that white stick from faber castell that allows you to blend?
+Annette Espinoza its white pencil
Baby oil to blend???
Thanks to show this. Can You tell me if the pencils have numbers ou name? If you have to choose polychrome or watercolors, what Pencils do you prefer? Sorry for me english.
+Ana Patrícia Barbosa Hello, Colouring pencils are very different to watercolour pencils,
what colours did you use
Hi! That's a very very good drawing :O
I've got the same polychromos, and I noticed they are a little bit too hard. But I also noticed you used something to blend the colors and the effect is 100 times better. I'm not english so I could'nt catch every single word. So what did you used for blending specifically?
He used a paint thinner called "Turpentine".. :)
what do you use for blending? Awesome :D
I used distilled turpentine back then. Thank you :)
This is amazing
Do you blend it with just a normal brush or is it a special one? :D good work btw ^^
+GermanGirl 1997 Thank you :D its just a synthetic brush with distilled turpentine on it.
please make a tutorial video on how to draw this
It is a simple paper ?
Which colour do you use?
Hello Fadil ! After you used Polychromos, I really want to know what you think about them compared to the Prisma's or Derwent. Witch one do you think it's the best?
dilara karatas i cant clearly say wich one is the best, each pencils have their own unique properties. But still i think i like them in the order Polychromos > prismacolor > derwent artists. but when i need so much color variation and powdery look for my drawing, derwent artists would be my first choice. but they behave like a cheap pencil on smooth paper. faber castell is an allrounder. for realism, faber castell would be the best. followed by prismacolor.
Art@Fadil Aaah okay! Thank you for your respond, I really appreciate it :D Keep up the good work Fadil ! :))
Necesito aprender inglés, su trabajo es impresionante
You work it's magnifique.
+Enrique Martinez Muchas gracias!
കൊള്ളാം ... great work...
I really apreciated ur drawing, IT S SOOOOO AMAZING GOOD JOOOOB👏👏👏👏
Zineb Fokar Thank you so much :D :D
plz make videos on some flowers so I can learn.your shading and colouring are superb
whats the name of the blender ???
What did you use for blending? The effect is sick!
+Pedro L. de Carvalho i have used distilled turpentine for this one. but i no longer use it. instead i use baby oil now :) they are pleasant smelling less toxic alternative :D
Art@Fadil lol I was like oh I can handle turpentine and all, then I purchased w&n turpentine to blend and it smells so bad I won't use it ever anymore
I really love your work. What kind of paper do you use for your colored pencil? Thxks
Maybe a highweighted paper with texture, meant to resist wrinkling caused by solvents/liquids. 240 gr or above
Can you tell us what colors you used? I have the 120 set that I just bought and would like to try making cherries. They won't turn out as good but getting the right colors may help.
+CBrowning0007 getting the right colors helps but the most important thing to consider is getting the values right. i mean how much dark or light it is. I mainly used red, dark red and cadmium orange for drawing. and for some really dark areas i used brown and even black. for cast shadows some greys.
Is Faber Castelle Polyshromos Are Better Than Prisma? Or Both Of Them Are Good?
GLITCH HOP According to many youtubers the Faber Castelle pencils are better quality, but they have a less broad spectrum of colors.
I bought the same colour pencils but it didn't blend😢
What is thing that you used for the blending?
+Iman Zulaikha Terpentine...
Qué usas para combinarlos en un pincel ? Pero con agua o seco?
+ricardo torres ordoñez Su trementina destilada con el cepillo .
아니
+Art@Fadil 한국어좀잘하시네여...
I tried to Google terpentine but nothing comes out? what was the thing to blend? why didn't you put down on the description
+sue lee Its distilled turpentine. but i no longer use them. i use baby oil instead.

Safia Moubal Thank you so much :D
Your welcome
me encantó. desde Uruguay te pido que pongas subtítulos en español!!!
@Art@Fadil Hi, I would really appreciate if you could mention the Shade Names too. Thanks.
First time with and your amazing! I'm thinking about getting them how good are they for portraits?
Brianna Sanchez I dont know since i dont have any portrait colors from them. but i am pretty sure they will outperform prismacolors easily for drawing portraits.
Thanks so much i'v heard prismacolour has some serious quality issues.
What do you use to blend the colors with the brush?
+Alexander Savelyev distilled turpentine. Now i use baby oil instead.
great drawing! you have a great talent! what is it what you used for blending?? I'm curious.
+miimii porras thank you its turpentine
+Art@Fadil oh thank you!!
+Art@Fadil can i use water too 😉
milena w better you use oil, water is for watercolor pencils
Awesome cherries ^.^ I think u did awesome.
nightstar1219 Thank you so much :D
what did he use to blend? i couldnt understand
LegendGnar Distilled turpentine, but now he uses baby oil because he has more control with it. Baby oil lowers color saturation though
So real I love it 👏👌
Mena Mulugeta Thank you :D
I'm sorry what did you use to blend the colors? is that water?
+Mariam Abouward Terpentine!
I have never tried to use solvent as blender before, because my style is more for the grainy look of the pencil drawing. But, I do want to try the solvent, and what kind of brush do you recommend using? For example a softer brush or firm brush? Since I don't have a local art store, I have to rely on Blick and international shipping. I try not to waste money on buying unnecessary items, since I'm already buying too many LOL Being an artist is hard. You go through your supplies so quickly, and high quality materials gets so expensive over time.
Cathrine OAO try a firm filbert brush and buy an odorless paint thinner. or baby oil can be used too... its a cheap alternative that works almost the same. :)
Art@Fadil
Thank you very much!
Friend you use water do mix colors? Thanks.
juan Mestre arnedo vit i use distilled turpentine. water do not work with oil based pencils.
4.50 What is that
What does he use for blending? I couldn't understand what he said 😅
+Laura V Terpentine
I can't too 😂😂
Laura Voskanyan lmao
what he said was a bit washed down nut he said he uses solvent to blend
wonderful work!!!
+SuperPaola1963 thank you
can u tell me how can i bay them please....
+OTAKU i bought it online.
What do you use and how do you blend the colors? It's looks like a brush or something
+Giovanni Machado He's using a solvent, applied with a brush.
+Giovanni Machado Terpentine.
hola!
Have you tried Derwent Coloursoft? I tried both and I think Artist is a bit softer but Coloursoft blends a lot nicer. I'm still wondering which to choose.
***** i have heard derwent coloursoft are much better than aritsts pencils. but i only have artists pencils with me . i havent tried coloursoft yet.
Maybe you should try it! I just brought it, and I heard some review saying it's even better than prismacolor on some aspects.
