      I think Opus in Canada may carry them too... They do Carry Createx and the Wicked Colors line here locally.. they may have to specifically order in these opaques if they don't have them already. For me that's a better option as it cuts out paying the shipping and handling. Gonna try and get them to stock the Candy 2.0 at some time in the future. They only stock the 2 ounce sizes with the exception of the createx opaque Black and white which they also have in 8 ounce.

      @@babel232 actually no, I have not messed with the wicked glow in the dark paints.
      I have some previous experience with glow in the dark paints. Including some full on murals
      And I can say a good glow in the dark pigment is very thick.
      I have a bottle of the uv glow here I have not even cracked the seal on it. But that's different than glow in the dark.

      you will love it for your spray out stuff. I think im gonna go pick up a small model truck to highlight the graphics.. ive done a BUNCH of tape testing and layering tests. I do recomend a drop coat then a medium wet coat. It loves to stick to itself. It can skate if you lay the first coat on too heavy.

  • @BrusHstroKeZ
    @BrusHstroKeZ 3 роки тому +5

    I love the new opaqueZ! Only used a lil bit but great flow and coverage. These r great for graphics base colors, and then add an effect. Or can even use these as color match sealers and eliminate the need for color matching with Autoborne Sealer. Can’t wait to see all the new artwork created with this amazing new formula!

      I still gotta play with mixing the wicked paint. I do have a question about masking and taping over water base paint. Do you have to intercoat clear or can you just mask off?

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  3 роки тому +1

      @@CBGRAPHICSAirbrushArt Generally i do most taping direct to paint, unless they are pearls or such. Occasionally i may intercoat them. If my paint is being lifted with tape, then they paint will fail in the future. Thats how I see it.

    Thanks Bill, I've been researching the changes in Createx paints. Guess this means I'm gonna have to spend some $, LOL. As painting is my hobby and I don't aspire to become a millionaire artist as I give away my art to family and friends, that's a big deal. However I'm happy they continue to improve their products. Thanks again for this info on the new paints, as I stated, I've been trying to find all I can on the new products.

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  3 роки тому +1

      well.. i JUST told my wife.. i should probably paint a quick tutorial :)
      It is important to keep in mind., these wont have that super silky low tip dry flow i can get with transparents.. however thats nature.. the fillers help the opacity. Less fillers less coverage. All a balancing act.
      And believe me I started buying some products to review, and text because I know for a hobbyist spending 50 60 bucks on paints is a big deal. Not that i'm rich, but i'm able to justify any paint expense or airbrush expense within reason. And over time youtube and product links will pay me back for said videos. Or at least I hope so. I spend every dollar I make off youtube and more on testing airbrushes and paints.

    Great video. I’ve been messing around with it for about a week. I’m used to urethane paints. Once I get the mixing ratios down I think it will be a great product

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  3 роки тому +1

      yeah will definitely take some tweaks from urethane But it changed my mind when Dennis told me it sprays better at like 20 psi. Lets be real if you reduce it 300 Percent.. its not gonna be nearly as good of coverage :)

    • @CBGRAPHICSAirbrushArt
      @CBGRAPHICSAirbrushArt 3 роки тому

      @@TheAIRspace I agree. I was spraying on a small panel around 20psi and I did several passes and still didn’t get a good coverage like I do with urethane paints. I did have to reduce it a lot so that it would flow good. Once you come up with the master mixing formula you can fill us all in 😂

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  3 роки тому +1

      @@CBGRAPHICSAirbrushArt well you just watched me do NO reducer in almost all of that.. actually about 5% seemed to flow great for me. HOWEVER it is important to actually mix it and let it set a minute or two. which is not how i work with my other art. If someone were inclined to premix their paint, ahead of time i suspect they would have very little issue.

    • @CBGRAPHICSAirbrushArt
      @CBGRAPHICSAirbrushArt 3 роки тому +1

      @@TheAIRspace Jake from Brushstrokez told me that same thing. Premix water base paint and I’m used to mixing that urethane and being able to spray right away. When I was spraying I didn’t let it sit. I was impatient and added more reducer

      @TheAIRspace  3 роки тому +1

      i have used the candies briefly in some quick panels on here before.
      I personally use candies in only a few situations, almost all of those in a graphic or automotive type graphics. The nature of candies being they will fade in time they do not make it into my daily work lineup.
      Its certainly a good topic.. it may have to wait until i get back next month but im writing it down on my whiteboard now!

      Bill, so my local hobby lobby carries wicked opaque sets in 5 color with reducer, the labels are very similar to the ones your working with. Could it be possible that they are the same ones or did the "scientifical composition " get changed up when this line came out?

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  2 роки тому +1

      I was using a .5 in this video I believe. But it also is flowing through my eclipse just fine.
      With that said there is a learning curve to the opaques. They flow different than the transparents. Coverage however is phenomenal.
      They are also designed to flow out. So not giving them any time to dry can cause issues. Many told me they didn't notice that, however I paint very fast with lots of layering.

    Hi Bill! My name is Chris. I was given a low cost airbrush / compressor a couple of weeks ago. Prior to that I've never airbrushed in my life. I'm not an artist. I've built a radio controlled airplane to fly with my grandson. So I just need solid gray coverage over white foam board. Would a Paasche H brush handle that? (about 2ft. square total area) Would my tankless compressor be able to handle the new paint or would I have to buy a stronger compressor. Finally, is this water based? Thanks very much for you help ........ and patience!

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  3 роки тому

      sorry such a late reply.. The Paasche will handle these fine, the compressor possibly.. 2ft squared is a lot of space. These are fairly thick, but not significanly more than other waterbased airbrush paint like are used for t shirts and such. And yes these are a waterbasedd acrylic urethane.
