    in the summer, i can get 65-70 miles with my 16x riding at 25mph on a flat paved bike trail. 185lbs with gears and tire pressure at 28 psi. Most of the time, I'm only riding 40 miles and usually end with about 45% battery life left.

    28 deg C damn you guys have some good weather for this time of year.
    Still loving my 16x. Nearly had it for 2 years now. And still getting about 80km range per charge with lots of fast riding.

      It does get alot colder in SA, I guess our payoff is the humidity here in Summer

    My minimum range is 30 miles in cold weather, in the summer I can get a 50+ miles average if I ride conservatively. I stop riding when the battery drops under 10%

    You guys make good videos, just generally speaking. I'm surprised you don't get more international views from the EUC community. I'mma see what I can do to help with that (probably not much, but I'll try).

    1) if You make range test - giva us statistics from Eucworld or other app plzzzzzzzzzz,
    2) on 70km it was 22% battery, and on 73km... 0% ??? You rode until final tiltback or only until low-voltage alarm? If second option - hom much 16x can ride from this alarm to final tiltback?

    another question: I can't find much information on the two usb discharge ports. One supposedly supports plug and play. I'd like to know what their outputs are (voltage, watts, amps). Are you able to find out? Also, as per your advice, I've been running 25psi for my max 85kg load and it seems ideal. I do run off kerbs

      I am 200lb, 6ft, my 16x was new in march. 1,000 miles ish, I have crashed and crashed and crashed, and crashed. Black duct taped panels, damn what a beating and she runs as good as new! Love it love it love it! Such a wonderful machine. I was about to by a second one, in case it does break, but ewheels suggested an alternate instead of two of the same, VS12hs, will be a couple weeks to arrive. Lots of luck, no begode, if you want to ride vs fix.

  • @urastus9202
    @urastus9202 Рік тому

    hah, just found this. I bought a 16x from you a few weeks ago. Nice to get an idea of how far I can run the battery down - thanks; although we have a lot more hills (Hobart). I think I'm about 85kg with pack etc riding and running 30psi in the tyre - can I ask what you run? I do a mix of dodgy foot paths and reasonably easy single track. Enjoying the wheel so far. This is after a month learning in a ks 14d, which I'd also recommend.

    • @e-riderz
      @e-riderz  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for your comment. We tend to run 25-30psi for our shop KS16X. Higher tyre pressure (35-40psi) gives a little more range due to less friction/drag, but requires more fine motor control due to being more squirelly on the smaller contact patch with the road.

      These things weigh far too much to put in a back pack. When you get to your destination it best to just wheel them into the building using the trolley handle - the 16X looks like luggage which means it's fairly easy to get past security etc just make sure to turn off all the lights etc. Then just store it under your desk at work.

    Hello, how are you, excellent video, you can see that you enjoy your wheels a lot, I have a question, I am a heavy user of 110 kg and I learned a 14 d which cut me off and shot me, well normal since it is a lot of weight for the wheel that is small and I was thinking between the Kingston 16X , 18 L and the 18 XL I think the difference between these two is only the battery, right? Could the fact that the XL's battery is larger prevent it from being low and I demand a little more from it to be more sure that it doesn't cut me off? Now I was looking at the kidston 18S but I'm not much off road, I'm more of a city. Is it worth making the investment for the Kingston 18S? Does this wheel require more maintenance and care? What can you say to me? Thanks in advance and a big hug.

    • @e-riderz
      @e-riderz  Рік тому

      Hi! Yes you will want a wheel with stronger motor and larger battery to support more demand. The KingSong 16X and 18XL have same size motor (2200W) and battery (1554Wh). With the 18L same motor but smaller battery capacity (1036Wh). Ride in the top 50% of battery capacity to ensure sufficient battery voltage for more demanding riding. S18 has a lower battery capacity (1110Wh) compared to 16X/18XL, may not be the ideal choice for you. Consider a V11 or T4 for suspension model, or along with the KS16X or KS18XL for non suspension you could consider an Inmotion V12 Hight Torque!

    • @ihuliige6776
      @ihuliige6776 Рік тому +1

      16X is so much stronger than 14D it's ridiculous. You'd have no problems going up ANY hill at 110 kg. With its high torque motor in modest 16" (17") wheel it's one of the hardest pulling EUCs on the market, for any money, period. 18XL is pretty decent too, but 18S is a very old wheel at this point and probably not so great.

    hi ! great vid ! I´ve a ks 18xl and have the original charger 1,5 amp, can I charge at the same time with my 1,5 amp charger and a 2,5 amp charger? or is it dangerous.? I know that my wheel can charge at 5 amp but I don't know if can be different chargers. Thanks bro!

    • @e-riderz
      @e-riderz  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Andre. For these dual charging port models (like 16X and 18XL), you can use two different chargers (1.5A and 2.5A) together on the same charging circuit so long as the sum of charging amperage does not exceed the max charging amperage the charging circuit can support.

    This is amazing wheel, too bad it is not waterproof and bit outdated specs wise. I bought V12HT Instead because of the IP rating and built quality. For sure it is much better wheel, that 100V torque and speed is addictive. I did 65 km with 20% left and incline was 700m total (500m descent), awerage speed about 27km/h I think. So I am very pleased with V12HT. But 16X is much more practical because of the great handle and much less weight, Kingsong should update this great wheel :).

    • @TheDownloader86
      @TheDownloader86 Рік тому

      @@lemorcardona5573 V12 HT has very solid 150V mosfets. Not like 100V on the original V12 HS. That was the main issue of that wheel. V12HT is awesome wheel. 2400km so far and no issue regarding the riding experience.

      Exactly! coping from a KS 18, I'm in a market for not to big of a wheel, 16X looks great but a bit updated, seems you can ride a bit under the rain but have to be carerful, V12HT looks absolutely great but heavy heavy....

    Все зависит от веса райдера и от манеры езды. В принципе этого колеса хватит на все, на целый день покатушек, а так как в течении дня ты хотя бы пару раз подкрепляешься в кафе, ты и подзаряжаешься при этом! Тогда энергии хватит с запасом! Я так думаю, что нормальное колесо - это 1,5 квт.ч. емкости, большего уже не надо.
