It seems there is always a "karen" who first calls the cops, then there is a cop who thinks he works for the 'discomfort patrol', and/or a cop who has a problem with that pesky First Amendment.

We have more cops than any nation in history. And that stat comes from like 40 years ago. And every single year since then, like clockwork, we add hundreds of thousands more to the force. EVERY CITY IN THE COUNTRY HAS TOO MANY COPS. You can't drive to the corner store without passing at least one speed trap. And yeah, they are all overfunded to the point most people are shocked when they learn by just how much. Those cops were probably making 8 times more than the hardest working person you know, just for choosing to stand there and bully people. Or listening to their radio with their speedometer out watching people with real jobs commuting. It's a "hard job".

I carried a badge for 31 years, I was a Sgt and I was promoted and respected by my peers. I consistently enforced the law AND trained by team to respect whoever they encountered unless they wanted to go sideways. I’m not lying, I was really respected.
