God this reminds me of when I was 10 playing this game and not being smart enough to turn the map bigger with Arena while being with 7 AI. Nostalgia hit me hard with this one.
I loved tiny area maps. Trying to make the best of the chaotic situation was a lot of fun, especially when there were stone walls. I played it regicide too often, so there were castles in the mix.
When you were talking about Strode being the favorite, and he fucked up the deer lure, I lost it. You do that every time. What you oughtta do is host a pro forest nothing ffa tournament. 64 players, 8 winners in the first round, and a final showdown that is weeks later. Give everyone 20$ for having to play in a forest nothing game, and have almost all the prize pool be in the final.

Ian just letting his army get slaughtered by Snubi without fighting back in the slightest just made me rage. He probably could have taken Snubi's army at first, but then just wasted the chance.
idea for hidden cup; have the winning name from the last show up as a "returning champion" for the next. idk if its just me but i find the thought funny of a completely different person being marked as the previous champion due to their name.

Would give hilarious results with the AI not always sure how to play the map. To give my team a handicap, I would put my allied AI's as Korean, as for some reason the AI wouldn't evolve passed the Castle Age on them (at least 92% of the time). They were some fun DM maps.
Interviews with voice changers or with text-only (and text-to-speech) could work, honestly. And using one of those images showing a a shadowy figure recorded in the dark behind a screen with a single light source behind the person being recorded, would make it all seem all the more legit, even if it's not the person in cause. Just an animated loop on repeat, you know? Would make it all the more fun. Please convince the devs to let the gamers give away units to other players. Would make the multiplayer a lot more interesting.
Tiny Arena 8 player is even better - stone walls make expanding require some more...creativity (or dedication) and the whole map is surrounded by wood so there's even less space. Wall overlap becomes insane. Highly recommend.

I randomly stumbled into a game like this. Was in the lobby and joined an 8 man FFA. Turned out it was being streamed on Twitch, and they'd made these kinds of mental settings. Got rushed and smashed, just trying to hold out in the beginning with everything being lamed. Was a surprise, but it seems a fun thing to do every now and then.

this map would feel extra cramped in star wars galactic battlegrounds, the star wars version of AoEII that not enough people talk about, as most units are ranged in that game.
not sure why grey did not go for like 10 to 15 monks. Convert 10 to 15 elephants. Then 30 seconds later can do it all again. With the camels it could have worked.
I have found best way to counter war phants is monks. Legit no joke they are so slow if you have plenty of monks you can convert a whole army of war phants.
Imagine this settings with sudden death game mode, now that wouldve been prime time entertainment. This is talkshow on primetime, enjoyable, watchable, but not "The Thing"

Still no option to make the chat visible. it's by far the most fun part of community games and Iv'e no respect for the devs for not including it.
