I was teaching my sister to play this game, I told her to prevent from getting attacked early she needs to wall. When I attacked her and broke thru her walls, she had no base inside lol all her buildings were her walls

Honestly one thing I enjoy about these back and forth low elo games is I have time to process what’s happening and how crazy the twists and turns are. In the highest elo games it’s all pretty mad and it’s hard to keep up let alone feel it

This game was very difficult, I thought I was going to lose!
As a newly returned age of empires player who only played the old version as a kid (like 15 years ago or something) this video hits way too close to home haha. Coming back to the game my only memory was basically trying to build as many walls and castles as possible. Pretty cool medieval world building simulator though!
edit: I think you guys would be VERY surprised to know how many players are actually like this with the wall building/"roleplaying" like stuff. So many people just play this game against only A.I or casual and never touched ranked. The idea of build orders was completely foreign to me up until about 2 days ago upon having T90s channel pop up randomly.

I really appreciate you casting and posting the low tier players' games. Just picked the game up for the first time since way back, and I was garbage then, anyway.
The higher level games are cool to watch, but there's SO much about the common meta game stuff I don't understand that I can't follow nearly as well. The low elo games make so much more sense, and teach me a lot about what I can do better.

I can really appreciate Red's fortress. In reality that's how you would want to make a stronghold. Redundancies, clearance between layers, killzones and bottlenecks.
Indeed, the strategy is called defense in depth, but in real life people have a lot more time to "turtle" than in a typical RTS match.
I was in this live, and I can say that I have never cheered more for a countryman then in this game, italoramosBR a lenda.

After that Brazil broke from Portugal and the son of the portuguese king became brazilian emperor, so we had lots to do with Portugal. In relation to Incas, as you said they were far apart and had no relationship with brazilian natives like the Tupi and Guarani. The portuguese also had a different colonial sistem and a lot of indigenous people just received portuguese surnames and citizenship while their tribes became city's and their leaders portuguese nobles.

The Palisade walls in front of the fortified wall are there to act as buffer armor against Siege Ram splash damage obviously
then siege ram would one shot the buffer.
The palisade walls is there to let you know your fortified wall is about to be attacked, so that you can move your army over to defend.
I think they key is the palisade gate, which gives extra protection for unintentional gate opening. The walls just make it aesthetic.
The red had been building his very own Stronghold base :D all those walls with keep in the middle. briliant

12:23 When I used to play this as a kid, for a while I didn't even knew that they could change their professions, if I killed sheep at the start, then those villagers would have a bow on their hands, so I would assume that they couldn't do anything else for the rest of the game, took me like a week to realize... Now that I think about it that's probably what led me to never kill sheep, which ended up evolving on me taking ao2 as a game where my only objective was to cage in all sheep, I would drush enemies only with the objective of saving the early sheep

Stronghold was my first rts game, so now I have a strong flex to wall in every other game I play. Being a waller is okay ❤️
If you could build instantly in AoE like Stronghold walls would be better. I kinda wish you'd have to actually build stuff in Stronghold with workers like in AoE, but really I just wish Stronghold 2 and Stronghold Legends could get a Definitive Edition like AoE.
GoProGambler, don't give up on the game! Your efforts, along with the other legends, has driven countless people (like me) to give ranked games a shot, because we're just as bad / don't like to follow build orders to the letter / play the meta. It's all good, my friend, we're all here to have fun.
I played with GoProGambler, it was the longest game that had + 6 hours. I didn't know he stopped playing!

If anyone is interested in the spec chat during that game, it was mostly blue using the taunts 7 (Ahh!), 8 (All hail, king of the losers!) and 9 (Ooh!) after most of reds failed attacks, one 12 (Ah! being rushed.) a 6 (Stone please.), with red at the end giving it a 12, and a load of 11's no GGs (could of been called post game).

What a great game from the Low Elow players, had so much fun watching Red messing up with his Gates, and not knowing he can close the gates, and then later making blue think he can run in and then the shots from the katapults🤔, so unexpected, great game in a long time👌😉

I played red twice like a week ago, he's the nicest guy ever :D he's brazilian and was really nice and chatted with me a bit during the game and called a good game after his loss. I tried to inform him I saw him in a t90 video but i don't think his english was good enough to understand what I said there and probably is still unaware of his fame :D anyways, definitely a nice guy

I hthink alot of people pick portugese because as I new player pretty sure the portugese campaign was like the first thing in sight after the tutorial, so i just instinictively played that and picked portugese for a while later cuz thats what i was used to
