"Josh is Done" is perhaps the darkest & deepest Drake and Josh episode of all time.
Music Used (In order of appearance):
Happy Farmer - Chiro
rainy day - lukrembo
And baby in this moment we exist - Yusei
Apologize - Timbaland (Cover by Pianistos)

Inspired by the Love of Jesus Christ
Verse of the Day (as related to the topic of this video):
"Pay attention and always be on guard [looking out for one another]! If your brother sins and disregards God’s precepts, solemnly warn him; and if he repents and changes, forgive him. Even if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him [that is, give up resentment and consider the offense recalled and annulled]." - Luke 17:3-4 (AMP)
A movie I highly recommend: The Gospel According to Matthew (starring a very animated and engaging acting performance by Bruce Marchiano, who plays Jesus). This is a word-for-word adaptation that has a unique take on the body language and charisma of Jesus, and also makes it easier to understand and quicker to read the story. I am hopeful that this movie gives you peace, love, hope, security, comfort, and answers, as it did me, and continues to do to this day. God bless you.

Drake breaking down publicly and apologizing to Josh was a really well written and acted moment. It felt so genuine.
That shit hurt 😂made me realize I needed to be humble back in the day
Yeah I felt extremely bad for Drake at that moment, and even thought Josh was being too much of a jerk with him.
I like how in the episode after this one Drake talks about how he spreads rumors about Josh eating squirles and using the fur to make his own underwear.
Kain yeah... Nick kinda had a little problem with follow through. It’s like on ICarly after Sam and Freddie told each other they loved one another and broke up, the episode after, she was abusing him again. I’d say the show with the most follow through and character development was Zoey 101
@@whosaprettykitty5076 Zoey 101 had a different vibe to it. Great character development
The real darkest episode is when Josh didn't invite Drake to his wedding.

This just shows that Drake didn’t have any friends, he just knew people but never formed a connection with them.
exactly. he was just showing off his popularity but he really didn't have true connections with anyone. he had alot of girlfriends but always ended short.
the only person that tried to care for him, was Josh and besides the parents. Josh had at least few friends.
In a way I think Drake was jealous of Josh because he knew he could never be like Josh so he tried to show off.
NightCat Moon dam I never thought of it like this, it’s actually kinda sad. 😔

The darkest episode is when they accidentally bring home a gang that's plotting to murder the Governor.
And then they fake Josh getting his arm ripped off to scare them off XD

I just realized the teacher was gonna mark him down a letter grade just for being late😑
Yeah. Wtf?😂
Yeah fuck the teacher
As unfair as he was, thank goodness he ended up giving Josh some kind of appreciation for not missing a single question on the exam he had to retake at 6:00 AM.
I never forgot how Josh said at the beginning of the episode he said if anyone showed up even a second late for the class he'll lock them out.
What a douche
Worst thing is...they can actually do that in college...

I actually never noticed just how good Drake's acting is on this scene
I agree.
I think it's impoving they had to do it a lot in the show.
I surprised Drake didn’t take up an acting career in movies like Shia Labeouf.
That was a good espisode lol
This part hit hard 😔
This is honestly one of my favorite episodes of Drake and Josh.
Mine too
Same
It feels like real acting from Drake and Josh, not just “haha” all the time. My favorite episode.
Same here
Def my favorite season 4 episode. Season 2 and 3 just had too many good ones
These guys had the best teenage room of any sitcom that I've witnessed.
Meanwhile Jackson’s room from Hannah Montana’s the worst
This episode reminds me of a woman I met at work.
We talked for a while, and I really, really liked her. She dealt with a lot in her life and i always tried to be there for her when I could be. I bought her coffee, made her breakfast, brought her and her dog gifts for Christmas, always checked in on her when she was having a bad day. She never appreciated any of it and would often throw it in my face that I was ugly or fat or a bad guy and would tell me I was nothing compared to the guys she dated and hooked up with. Hell she would send me pictures of her and her boyfriend just knowing it would hurt my feelings to see her with another guy. It hurt me so much, I tried to be there for her and she didn't care about me at all. She just used me. The breaking point was her telling me "You aren't my kind of person, I like guys who are skinny and attractive." (quote on quote).
Well, like Josh, I had enough and decided I wasn't going to beat myself up over it anymore. I went about it just like Josh did. I was done with her. I didn't blow her off at work and cause an issue, but I was done bending over backwards for her and trying to be there for her. We were coworkers, and that was it. She did not respond well to it. She questioned why I was being distant and not reaching out to her. I told her kind of what Josh said, basically I was just focused on myself. She didn't like.
In the months after, everything started to change for me. I got observed at work and aced it, I ran a marathon after training hard for it, I dropped 31 pounds, I made it through my first semester of grad school, and I met a wonderful woman who loves me dearly.
Her? She began smoking weed excessively, to a point that she was terminated for showing up high to work, she cheated on her boyfriend and he dumped her, and she BALLOONED up, gained at least 20 pounds after getting fired. She didn't have a meltdown like Drake did, but she did keep reaching out to me and I held firm, I didn't respond or if I did, it was bare minimum interaction.
Cut out toxic people in your life. I know that phrase is so cliche, but god it holds so true. I only wish we could've resolved our differences like Drake and Josh did but it certainly ended up turning out the best it could.
Wow bruh shows karmas fs real
It sounds like you were hanging onto someone like a lost puppy desperate for a shag they made it clear they didn't want that even going as far as to tell you and send you pictures of her and her chap so you would back up and then you tried to punish her by cutting her off proving her right that you were never interested in her as a friend just as someone you wanted to shove your cock in you absolute melt of a person 🤢
Honestly why do creepy larl weiredos like you latch onto girls you see as damaged or whatever I swear every time I meet someone with abit of a past she has a creepy little weiredo like you following her about offering to do everything like a weired little lap dog and no matter how clear they make it theyre not into you you just keep coming at them with creepy attempts at flirting telling them you like them all the time asking them out over and over again and genuinely being a pestering little creep that they feel sorry for
Yeah it basically is a lesson to cut them out, I think that’s why this episode hit me hard.
@@fuziontonygamingCan’t argue with that. And I know how it goes, especially for me. You see, I was born with a high functioning form of autism, as I am highly autistic. And well, it’s a long story, for what I’m about to share.

Ok seriously why does everybody said this episode is dark? It was about teaching Drake a lesson about stop taking advantage of your siblings and start appreciated the things they are there for. I was happy that Josh stopped hangout with Drake because how many times can you possibly take advantage of your brother without saying you're sorry.
This episode needed to happen
Yeah but Josh’s life suddenly becoming better ruined it
Its pretty dark in retrospect since they stopped being friends IRL a few years after the show ended. Josh didnt even invite Drake to his wedding
@@divinityd662 Yeah, that has nothing to do with the show itself. Those guys has their own lives whatever was going on at the time they're going through in different directions and same thing with Kenan and Kel
What I find dark about this is how much damage a grudge can do and change people. I have an older brother who is autistic. And he gets mad easily. Right before I left for college, he got VERY mad at me. He said how he never wanted to see me again and hoped I never came back. Well, I HAD to come back because of university being closed on holidays. During that time, he was very awkward around me. My mom told me how much he missed me after I left and how he regretted everything he said. It took a bit of time, but things are okay between us now. He does have occasional tantrums, but we get past it easily. I don’t want to imagine what would happen if I actually did leave and left him guilty for so long.

@@supersaiyangodvegtio9590 No shit.
So are we gonna ignore who the REAL villain in this episode was??? That teacher is a horrible person...
While Drake leaving Josh behind certainly didn't help, it was the teacher who pushed Josh over the edge. The fact that he literally LOCKS the door and refuses to let tardy students in his classroom (which I'm pretty sure they Legally cannot do that), while further punishing and shaming Josh in front of the class... Like, My God, he was literally seconds late... And for him to have ZERO empathy for his students while simultaneously pressuring them with strict rules, it's pretty despicable. Even later in the episode, after Drake just got through with getting dowsed in the shower, he's yelling at him to sit down and keep working!?!?!? I don't blame Drake for telling him NO and leaving...... High school is already difficult enough for teens without their teachers putting pressure on them.
it wasn’t “dark”, but it was definitely a very deep episode that i feel all people should watch. even if you don’t have siblings or smth, you still get into conflicts with the people who love you no matter what. I’ve never watched Drake and Josh like that, but it understood that it had some very deep lessons that everybody needed to hear and see.
Garbage episode
Pr.incorporated that’s fine but Josh’s life suddenly becoming better just because he’s close to Drake anymore really undermined the message
It's "dark" for a children's show.
its comparitively dark.
@@brett8460 it ain’t dark. It’s deep, it ain’t dark. Dark is when there is a sitcom where a teen boy has had absolutely enough and buys a gun. Yeah, that’s dark. Dark is when a family member almost dies because of caffeine pills. This episode is far away from dark as you can possibly get. Dude, this show wasn’t made in the 80s or 90s, it ain’t dark.
The only reason you always forgive your siblings is because you live in the same house and basically grew up together...if they were a friend you wouldn't be with them and probably cut them of your life
Eh circumstantial
Like someone already mentioned it's kinda circumstantial. My sibling and I for example will probably never talk to each other again once we go our own ways. While it may sound sad, that's just the reality of it. We live in the same house and grew up together but we don't talk. We actually probably haven't even had a full conversation in over 10 years.

Idk if “dark” is necessarily the best word to describe this episode... maybe more like emotional, poignant or heartbreaking but I’m not sure about dark
Drake breaking down saying sorry to Josh strikes me as a dark scene, at least, compared to the other episodes in the show.
This isn't the darkest D&J episode, they've released a new one after 13 years and apparently it's about Drake being sentenced. It doesn't even have the laugh track
What was it
The Darkest episode of Drake and Josh
When papa Nichols confused Craig and Eric as WW2 German soldiers.
Was looking up about this episode because of……RECENT EVENTS we’ll say.
Early 2000’s cartoons and teen/kid sitcoms were full of these kinds of episodes. Ones that had deep, impactful lessons or messages. And they felt very genuine, too. Like the writers just wanted to give their young audience some advice.
That episode was so intense the first time i watched it, the acting and the story was so well written. It made you feel like josh literally despised drake.
The darkest episode was the episode that came out just this past summer-
What do you mean
Oh I know THAT episode
This episode hits different now given the recent news. 😔
Whts the recent news
Quiet on Set? Yes it does.
This hits different now
This episode was so spiritually healing, Drake finally facing consecuences and Josh getting some real rewards for once
I remember the ending for this. Josh went back to the dynamic they had before. He put Drake above his own needs, like he did before, which is why he was always stressed all the time. And the dynamic didnt even change after this episode either, which it should have. Honestly, this episode is dark, like no doubt, and i do think that forgiving people who wronged you is important. But it was dark to me because Josh was finally putting his own needs first, by minimizing his interactions with Drake. And he was healthier for it. But by the end, it didnt even matter. He sacrificed his own mental health and happiness for Drake. I feel like it would take Drake some time after this, but he would be fine. And maybe even better once he relearned how to be his own person without a significant amount of input from Josh in his life. And maybe some understanding once he was given some time to reflect. But this was notttt a healthy relationship. And yes this ep was supes dark
Couldn't have said it better, myself. If you're gonna' do this type of story, it cannot end with a return to the status quo. It has to end with a serious change to the rest of the series. Unfortunately, sitcom's require status quo, so Josh being the punching bag/loser to Drake's antics was bound to return.
What that other guy said, unfortunately that quo had to return, that’s what the whole show was built on, it would lose its spark if Drake stopped being every child’s idol, of being the perfect character who basically never gets in trouble and never loses.
Holy crap. I just recently had a huge fight with my brother. It's been going on for a while but just last week I kinda was done with him. He does a lot of things that aren't justified and so when we argued last week, I said the same thing to him "I'm done with you man." We live in the same apartment, we're in quarantine, and yet I haven't looked him in the face since then. It sucks since we're so close but I was honestly done with his attitude. Here I am though, 1am, and this video from a channel I have never ever seen, pops up in my recommended. Appreciate the hardwork, you earned a sub and got someone to make up with their brother.
How did it go?

I like how he played a piano cover of apologize in the background 😂
You can only forgive someone if they are sorry it sucks when you want to forgive someone for hurting you but they aren't sorry and won't stop hurting you
The real darkest episode is when drake went on trial for child endangerment
You were 17 hrs ahead of me
Drake Parker or Drake Bell?
Drake deserved to be taught a lesson for making Josh’s life a misery. Harsh I know but it was the only way to get through to him.
I liked this episode because this was the one time things actually went good for Josh (apart from the Lucky shirt and pool episodes).
This episode also reminded me how Drake wasn't exactly the 'lucky' one in regards of his English teacher hating him. There was never a moment where she for once got along with him, possibly due to him never being a responsible student like Josh. Helen may have not liked Josh as much, but there were moments where she at least respected him as an employee. Josh even admitted in the episode that they've been getting along after his tennis match.
Who are you to judge? Have you ever in your life be in your lowest position breaking down. Because If you have then you know it feels like to be Drake right now. But if you haven't then you do not understand of how it feels like at all. I've been there, I have been like drake when I lost my grandmother so do not tell me that drake had this coming when we all of have been there for ourselves at some point
@@bobbytalavera6454 okay, losing your grandma and being a toxic piece of shit to your stepbrother are two entirely different things. Every other episode, Drake usually takes advantage of Josh or gets him in trouble with his antics. He frankly needed a lesson in humility like this to show him that Josh is by no means lucky to have him, it's the other way around.
Drake and Josh are the antithesis of each other. Drake loves the attention and fame. Josh loads it. Drake’s focal point in life is being a rockstar, getting all the pretty girls, and his relationship status hasn’t last til a week. Josh’s focal point was losing weight, getting good grades and his education for his future, and his relationship he already has a wife and kids. Drake’s career disappeared, Josh resurrected his career and seeing him making cameo on tv. Drake cared little too much about what everyone thought about him. Josh couldn’t care less.
I thank you for your input and I've learned to be a forgiving person, but I've dealt with drug addicts that I was oblivious to and they stood their time and time again when I told them this is not how to live life. They looked at me confused and like it wasn't a big deal. When I decided to leave them high and dry that's when they wanted to cry and be upset. Drug addicts are paranoid about alot of things, but the ONE thing they are not paranoid about is the people who tried to help them and love them and get tired of their nonsense will abandon them.
this title aged well
Only if Josh could’ve order and Uber 😭😭😭
The fact that Josh says Roommate & not Brothers makes that scene more intense.
"The mid 2000s were the golden age of television"
90s kids: 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The 2000s was not a great decade in TV. The 80s-90s were the best time period for sure in TV
Seriously, hearing the intro made me laugh so hard. I guess if you’re a zoomer you’d think so.
Maybe the golden age for kids shows, but the 2010's is the actual golden age

Easily one of the best episodes of Drake & Josh.
And this was coming from the final season where the episodes were relying more on comedy than wholesomeness that the earlier episodes had more of.
But that just made this episode stand out more. For most of the episode, it’s mostly funny jokes and lines, but then you get to Drake’s breakdown and it changes the tone completely. It’s a real emotional punch to the gut.
I remember Josh refusing to go talk to Drake after he apologised. I think at that moment, Josh just needed some time to process what was being said and realise that Drake really needed him, which was what lead to Josh going to Drake in his room at the end and the brothers reconciled over a game of ping pong.
Btw, doing “done” with somebody is honestly worse than being mad or hating them. Hate is still a strong feeling that you have towards somebody. Just being indifferent? At that point you don’t care enough to change anything, and the relationship is dead.
14 years later ...
... _"Josh is Done"_ became a reality as Drake is facing 2 years of probation as well as 8 days worth of of community service.
No matter how much Drake apologises, he could never be forgiven for the crimes he committed.
I'm sure some people will forgive him.
I mean technically that girl lied about her age
This is a really important episode because as a kid watching, you learn how to set limits with your friends and be taken seriously.
Josh doesn’t simply “lose his paddle”..? He shatters the window of transparency, that’s why Josh is so upset throughout the whole episode, until the window of transparency is fixed, the relationship is unfixed as well. It really had nothing to do with the tenuous relationship between two step brothers living together for an extended period of time
That ending speech about forgiving people was really inspirational and motivating thank you bro
According to TV Tropes this episode of Drake & Josh would be an example of an "Unexpectedly Dark Episode."
I do like how this episode pretty much became reality. Josh became incredibly successful while Drake is.... well you know.
2:08 you can see how much that hurt Drake. Josh really is his best friend when it comes down to it.
