Why do you think he has such a crazy pain tolerance? He can compete with one of the stronger characters in the show, Rolf, in terms of defense and endurance.
@@doot609 villains.fandom.com/wiki/Eddy%27s_Brother I think pure evil is a bit of a stretch. He is an asshole tho and is presented to have no redeeming qualities in the movie- but he didn't need them, all he needed to be was the explanation for Eddy being the way he was.
@@girlbuu9403 He's not listed as Pure Evil anymore. Notably, he is not considered a Complete Monster on TV Tropes, either. Guess he wasn't sufficiently heinous enough.
This show is a special gem in a way that doesn’t try too hard to be deep and yet gets the deep stuff right and in fact, better than some series that try to have it
I knew that I’ve always sympathize them very well as a kid All of those scams they have to make, face every single pain on their misadventures and now when I saw the truth about Eddy’s brother, that’s a big wow moment and that’s how I pretty much feel whenever I wanted to be appreciated not just my family also everyone, the good thing is that I got friends before the pandemic started, still enduring the pandemic that’s stopping us and of course how to deal with all the bad things that happened when it’s not fully about the pandemic I still need to learn how to get that appreciation just by earning it and how not to scam anyone at least
Ed also had the option of being accepted by everyone, given that when he’s not being threatened by Sara, the others seem to be OK with him. He’s also pretty chummy with everyone when he’s not being Eddys pack mule.
@@pablosanchez5294 Also, I think that in a sense of "Happily ever after" for this, Eddy may STILL play practical jokes on the other kids, but they finally know why and would probably be able to accept him even with that.
I hope this masterpeice of a show never returns! It has ended and concluded too! Also Danny antonucci has said he does not want a reboot or a continuation at all. Hes proud of his work and making us laugh throughout the years!
Cold as clay no, then the three most shiniest stars in the sky would lose their shine and would disappear out of existence. The dorks’ dignity will die if they’re rebooted.
I am anonymous however you say it Hi I just want a reboot because I never got the chance to watch it on Cartoon Network because I was born WAY later after it was the end
Out of all the shows to air on CN, Ed, Edd n Eddy still remains as one of my all time favorites to this day, in fact it's such a great show, i hope it never gets a revival or a reboot.
DenZøn I don’t think so, original teen titans was serious and dark so TTG made a whole different tone shift to silliness and brighter colors. Ed Edd n Eddy is already silly.
I'm in film school and I want to make a live action/animated movie with characters from cartoon network. Just like movies like who framed roger rabbit and space jam. I want to include ed edd n eddy and make the film a fun fantasy adventure and with funny and heartwarming moments. I want the film to be a tribute to cartoon network shows and characters old and new. I will not include Teen Titans Go.
"No more beating up little Eddy, eh big brother?" - An Ed is Born "Okay, maybe I was a little tough! But that's how my brother taught me! The only way to get it right, is to get it wrong!" - Ed in a Halfshell It's amazing how much small but significant foreshadowing there was in those early seasons before the movie. It was always there. Eddy's brother was a monster who nearly created another one in Eddy.
Surprisingly enough, I also think that Kevin was a good foreshadowing of how awful Eddy's brother was. In "Ed, Pass It On", he looked genuinely horrified when Eddy said his brother was coming back to the cul-de-sac and even went out of his way to do things for Eddy if he'd put in a good word for him to his brother. Even in this movie, when he realizes that the Eds are going to Eddy's brother's place, he freaks out and tries to hurry fixing his bike, so that he and Nazz can catch them before that happens. Maybe I'm over thinking it, but this makes me believe that Kevin was a victim of Eddy's brother's bullying when he was younger.
MrAwesomeMatty I was thinking the same. It’s probably the most blatant about Eddy’s brother being a horrible person. Double D even points out that the so-called respect he received from Kevin was clearly fear. But Eddy genuinely didn’t see the difference. And then of course when he thinks he’s face to face with his actual brother, he drops to his knees and starts begging for mercy, sweating profusely.
@@MrAwesomeMatty don't forget Rolf, the only character that can stand a chance against Kevin in a fight, was also terrified when he here that too. We can only imagine what kind of monster Eddy's brother.
I think the SHOW actually shows Eddy's father is the main key to his brother being the way he is. The grades episode showed that his dad was a VERY big source of fear for him. It'd be safe to say that Eddy's brother was also a victim of abuse and took it out on Eddy... and that mentality never left.
Several years ago a UA-camr created an animation called the bro show. According to him, he believed that Eddy's dad failed in raising Eddy's brother, but wants to do better with raising Eddy
In that case, I would suggest the "trailing abuse" approach. What I'd assume here is that Eddy's Brother (being the eldest child) received the worst of it. Parents sometimes use their children as verbal and/or physical punching bags, especially the eldest children as they can "take it". In these scenarios we have a more overbearing father figure that yells, gripes, intimidates, and/or assaults the eldest child because they can essentially 'take the punishment/venting' more. This, in turn would cause the eldest to treat the younger siblings in a similar manner to try and "toughen them up" so to speak so they aren't the only targets of their parents. In this case it's probably just a development into sociopathy I'd say.
I know that feeling he has, It's that feeling of knowing what you're doing is wrong, knowing that it only hurts you and others around you, knowing that you're trying to justify the years of abuse and heartbreak by the people in your life that are supposed to be the definition of support and love for you. In the moment he admitted that what he was doing was wrong but also admitted that he didn't know what else to do, he was never given a proper idol or role model, so he did what he thought was right... He idolized and lied about his abuser because it was all he knew to do. People like him need help because people like do exist, they need real friends, people who care and are willing to help them be better people.
@@deltagearadvanced5140 this goes for so much in life when u know what u chasing is wrong and messing up everything around but can't get enough of it sex, drugs, money, fame, etc
@@Sirdrewzee Yep, it's sad when people are self destructive and don't care or like what they are doing. But it literally shatters my heart seeing people who honestly want to change but don't know how or get the help they need to change. To see someone that you'd honestly want to hate or dislike for years shatter like that in front of you... It hurts. Even though it's just a show it still hurts to see it.
Can we also take a second to appreciate the Kankers in this movie? I know they've done horrible things to the Eds in the past, and sure, there technically in love, but just stop and think about it for a second: Once they learned that the Eds were being chased down to be given the worst beating of their lives, they actually were willing to go after them through an entire day and overnight into the next day to protect them. They doubled their traveling speed to catch and capture the cul-de-sac kids. When they caught up to the Eds, they didn't do their usual antics; instead, they explained how they had them covered the whole time. They genuinely were angry, horrified, and concerned when Eddy and Double D were being beaten by Eddy's brother. And when they started dragging Eddy's brother into the trailer at the end, one could see that as retribution for what he did. That to me speaks volumes. Aside from the times they messed with them, the Kankers genuinely care about the Eds the most out of everyone on the whole show.
@@mr.cuddlesworth3144 As they dragged him in, one of them says "First one inside gets to give him mouth to mouth". Def sounds like a 'me too' moment :'D
Shield Master I think they did, and maybe they also played victim and blew the whistle so Big Bro gets locked up, since he’s an adult and they’re minors.
Aside from Eddy taking off the veil and admitting he lied about his brother, the best part of the movie is that we don't even know what they did that was so bad. Just that their scam got people hurt.
It is implied from the whole intro that it was some kinda magic show or circus act, at least that's how I imagined it: Nazz is in a box in the intro, one that's normally used for the saw in half trick, Rolf was brutally mauled, and Kevin looked as if he was launched outa a cannon. But things go wrong for sure. More than likely Ed tried to use a chainsaw, and when double D tries to stop him from doing something incredibly illegal, well she probably was lucky that her hair was's all she lost... somehow bear traps were involved and Johnny and Rolf were victims of that, Rolf just removed his violently before the whole pusuit happened, and more than likely Kevin was comically blown up in a malfunction. And all these near death experiences are what more than likely what made the scam go too far
Did anyone noticed how Sarah ran to Ed close to the end? I think, that after the movie Sarah was alot nicer to her brother. This movie has so many small details that's like finding an Easter egg. Now excuse me while I find some tissue paper.
When Ed said “ No take me!” Cuz he thought the Cul de sac kids were gonna start beating on Eddy, that made me cry 😢😢 He loved Eddy and Double D as real brothers. They were the best friends Eddy could have. True friendship 💯💯💯
I just had a thought What if Eddie's brother didnt move away? What if his parents saw what he was doing to his younger brother and kicked him out? That would be even sadder because fine, they did the right thing but Eddy was already traumatized enough to become this egotistical, narcissistic asshole that is just trying to run away from his dark past by lying to everyone that no, his bro is a nice person, he just moved away to live a glorious life.
@@ecantu2301 Every Which Way But Ed, I think? It's one giant flashback where Eddy initially is trying to explain to the others how he got a jawbreaker.
You know, the "Eddy confesses to Edd about being a foul-up wannabe loser" scene, and then Eddy tearfully telling everyone the truth about his big brother were both the final catalysts that sparked Eddy to finally grow up. Sure, helping Edd with his confidence issues through wrestling training in "Tag Yer Ed", letting Edd stay with him in "Momma's Little Ed", changing a light bulb on the Christmas tree in "Ed, Edd n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle", and standing up for Edd against the Kankers in "A Fistful of Ed" were all enough to start Eddy on his way, but getting told by Edd that their friendship was over and then later telling the truth about his big brother were both the final shocks needed to show Eddy the light. Also, it was nice to see the Kankers finally move past their old role as cheap antagonists and actually protect the Eds from the other kids.
Yeah, honestly, this movie made me go from hating the Kanker Sisters mostly, to actually liking them cause when push came to shove, they really DID care about the Eds. And whatever they did to Eddy's brother at the end of the movie..... that jackass deserves everything he got from them.
The way this show handles the relationship between the trio very realistically and very well. It's weird a whole lot of the time and they do a lot of random things for fun. They care about each other a while damn lot. Even when they are faced with the threat of being beaten to hell and back, they face it together. Well, most of the time, because that's how friends are sometimes. Sure, they can go too far with some things and it takes a bit for them to make things right, but that's how it always ends up: made right. Ed is really goofy and weird most of the time, and is normally the sense of physical comedy and random humour for the gang, as well as the muscle when they need it. Edd is smart and helps out with certain things that are a bit too complex for Ed and Eddy to handle on their own, and can sometimes lead in schemes that actually work out, much to Eddy's liking, but also teaches them certain lessons when they need it. Eddy is the jokester and leader of the trio, relying more on wordplay to make others laugh. He's street smart, so he knows what to do most of the time to get them out of trouble with the other neighborhood kids, and he's constantly trying to do anything he can to get money for the trio's favorite sweet; jawbreakers. Together they make a good team, and they always make sure to help each other out, even if it's really tough for them to understand sometimes. I don't really know if their relationship I quite like brothers, but they sure as hell stick together no matter what happens.
Johnny gets treated like shit, and there was some covert racist shit going on with him. In one episode, he wears a monkey mask while holding a banana, and then you had the melon lord bullshit. I bet the creator giggles the fuck out knowing he got away with that scot-free.
I love how Kevin goes from being Eddy's enemy to being one of his best pals. Not only has Eddy repented but so has Kevin. Kevin simply bullied Eddy because he thought Eddy was like his older brother and when he saw him getting bullied by his brother Kevin began to realise how wrong he was to pick on Eddy. Likewise Sarah also redeems and treats her brother Ed like an actual sister for once. This shows not even Kevin and Sarah are nowhere as sadistic or mean as Eddy's brother. Even though we may not know why Eddy got bullied by his brother I think it is implied he simply got disowned by his parents and gets his revenge by physically bullying Eddy. Note how he asks if their parents are about. This implies he wants to make sure Eddy is by himself so he can torment him.
Aslo seeing how Ed cries when double-d is going back is so touching, the last thing he wants is a problem that he can't handle, and he also doesn't want to lose a friend who would respect and love him ad Edd and Eddy does, he would've got insane for a moment But as soon as edd comes back he just joys and forgets the problem, just so they can get to their normal friendship I relate so much to this dude :(
@@deliaenya3660 I like that statement as well as what someone else said about Double D valuing his friends more than fitting in. Cause Double D could’ve easily hung out with the other kids but he was never willing to ditch Eddy and tho sometimes people have better friends than they deserve, in this case we know that whatever he sees in both Eddy and Ed is real. And as neurotic as Edd can be about rules, he was willing to break the “social rule” by being outcasts with the other Eds.
When I seen there expression when Kevin offered them jaw breakers at the end gave me chills and made me cry with joy Because of what they’ve done to reach that far and how much they’ve sacrificed
I like how this movie shows how good of a friend Double D is. Despite being the dorkiest fucker on this show he could probably fit in with the other kids if he wanted to, the other kids treat him the least bad after all and is actually nice to him at times. But he holds his friendship with Ed and Eddy with such high regard that he doesn't care about being an outcast as long as he's with his true friends. Double D is the realest dude on this show
Though he was a total backstabber in Mission Ed Possible and This won't hurt an Ed in the name of being a total goody two shoes and self righteousness. He knew about how abusive Ed and Eddy's parents were, but brushed it off like its standard parenting discipline.
@@memecliparchives2254 well Edd is also from a bad household. His only parental communication is via sticky notes and most of those notes are about chores. Double D was probably always OCD but when the main affection shown to him is about maintaining order in the house you can see why him losing his mind over a shower would make even more sense. That’s the other thing that bonds the Eds even if they never acknowledge it is that their families were neglectful or abusive.
@@RikXtreme4 because they realise that the eds just want to be accepted and want attention. Eddy even admit that he does all the scam and prank because he want to look cool. Not to mention eddy brother is an asshole.
@@azmirjohari609 I get that but to just so suddenly turn over a new leaf? All this new found love and respect because eddy was seen as a victim? I dunno man. I have more of a problem with it mostly new to the fact that the premise of the film was the kids angrily and desperately trying to hunt the Ed's down for what they did and just cuz of this it's like "we're all friends now". Personally, that didnt sit well with me, but it is the finale and they got wrap it up somehow so it's cool, I guess..
Sibling abuse is a very real thing unfortunately. It gets overlooked a lot, and this did a great job at acknowledging it. I had 2 older brothers so I know what it's like.
This movie was amazing. As a kid I've always treated Ed Edd n Eddy as a childish cartoon that could only make people laugh because of these absurd gags and animation. Once you grown up, you're starting to wonder where this show was going. I've never actually imagined that Double D would snap like that and declare the end of their friendship, but the reaction of Eddy... crying and admiting that it was all his fault was even less expected. We all love Ed for being idiot, but we can see his loyality to his friends, so when Edd and Eddy are starting to fight, he doesn't know what to do. He's about to lose his place, because these two are everything he's got. The moment they finally make up is priceless. And then we have Eddy's big brother... The figure that Eddy was looking up to, wasn't actually like everyone imagined and we can finally understand Eddy's behavior. When the rest of the kids see how big jerk is treating his little brother, even though they were after Eds, they decide to defend them and finally become their friends. So I believe the show was about the friendship and the problems we are geting through the childhood, when we try to become the part of the group.
I teared up at the end because I did the same thing as Eddy, I would brag about my big brother, making him out to be this super cool guy, but in reality he was cruel to me, he would treat me like shit, and constantly beat me up.The movie really does hit close to home and it just ends so perfectly.
The interesting thing is that when Kevin, Rolf, Nazz, Sarah and Jimmy all witness Eddy getting bullied and awfully abused by his brother who they have listened to him talk so highly about as his idol for years and yet they’ve all hurt and beaten him up, too, but now after seeing how Eddy’s own brother was a jerk who beat him up for longer than they ever did, it finally changes them and makes them see Eddy’s pain and why he was who he was because he’d been hurt so much in his life and they put aside their grudges and wishes to hurt him too because they’re witnessing his own biological brother for who he really is and how much pain he’s causing Eddy like he always used to. It’s a rather sad way to look at it that they all stopped being mean, awful, rude and beating him up because they’ve seen how his own family mistreated him just as badly (but even worse really) as they did to him. Except, they never actually apologised for all the times they hurt him, but I know Eddy was to blame for why they did at times, and all of them finally treating and accepting the Eds as their friends was in some way maybe an apology.
@NoodleEdd TV Edit: Actually you're completely right. 😄 You're right and I wish I could call it a 2000's tv show, but It started in the decade I, and, probably you were born. 😊
The part where double d finally snapped kind of got to me. I recognize I can be annoying to people. I talk to much, I tell stupid jokes, I get kind of loud. I don't want to be this way. But sometimes it gets too much for people and they leave me. That part got me because it's happened a lot to me. I just wish they turned around...
I'm already about to cry an I'm 21 years old. This was my childhood and the first 55 seconds of him explaining the silence and y know one out side. I didnt realized that as a kid of the reasons but not just watching and hearing that cause me to almost cry
The folley and sound design is comically incredible, nay, perfect. Like I love how when the car blows up and you expect a huge explosion but instead they use a pitiful party blower noise.
This is easily one of the best cartoons I had during my childhood. It has a quality like an aged wine, that only shows like it and Avatar the last Airbender have kept in the pinnacle of entertainment since the day they aired for the first time.
I'll never forget this show. This was one of the BEST cartoons, and it will always be great, even after 10 years or more. The effort they have put in the relationships, the characters, and in just everything is amazing.
I love when Ed offers himself to be beaten by the others instead of Eddy after they meet his brother, he realises the situation just as well as the everyone else and will stand up for his friend
I first saw this movie just a few years ago after spending a lot of my childhood watching the show. I had recently had a terrible experience where I had lost many of my friends due to a bad series of events, and was still trying to get over it. I watched the movie, and when all the kids start singing about the meaning of friendship at the end of the movie, I had broken down crying because I was so moved. PS I have a new friend group so everything is fine now, they were just rough times.
Its so great seeing how this show was loved and what it did to their audiences all these years later. I love watching all these Ed Edd N' Eddy videos and seeing how I wasn't alone in how much I enjoyed it.
I remember watching this as a kid and the ending always puts a smile on my face. Cartoon network had alot of gems back in the day and I miss the old cartoon network every single day.
I think with Eddys speech about his brother, and making stuff up, I always imagined that eddys brother was a horrible person(there are indeed a TON of hints as to him bullying Eddy, though enough to still make his abuse when we finally see him a surprise.), but eddy still looked up to him. He didn’t just make that stuff up, he lied to HIMSELF about that stuff.
They did such a good job portraying what it’s like to be a victim of abuse and why it’s so hard to break free from it. People can be judgmental and be like why don’t you grow a backbone and leave but the abuse is rarely just physical, it’s mental. This is all Eddy knew until he met the other Eds and this is what he was taught was love so it’s no surprise that he idolizes him despite the deep seated fear in him
It's a little painful realizing there was a time when I had officially stopped watching this show (and its contemporaries). Revisiting it, another sadness weighs in: I'm all grown up and childhood feels like a distant memory. But these shows (along with other forms of art) are like time capsules, thankfully. Once all the sadness settles, I am left with only gratitude. This show was so vital to my life as a kid. And I'm glad it left off on such a valuable lesson. Thank you for sharing. Blessings.
This show brings me back a lot of nostalgia. I can still remember the feeling of being that little kid having fun and realizing now how simple things were then. This is one of my top favorite CN shows and honestly it be really cool to see this series reboot again 👍

I remember when I was in Elementary School, Ed, Edd, and Eddy was my favorite Cartoon Network show all the way up till this movie came out when I was junior in High School and even now, as a 28 year old man, seeing those clips brought a tear to my eye.
It's amazing how this show was able to incorporate heavy topics like abuse and neglect while still keeping it enjoyable. This movie was the perfect conclusion on this period of my childhood.
I was born at a weird time. Too late to grow up with this show, but I was still able to watch it on Netflix at a young age, it never really got into it since I was still too young. I really wish I watched more of this. I missed something great that I hope to watch in the future. It’s sad that I can never experience childhood again, to watch this without knowing how it ends. If I was only born a few years earlier. You’ll never have another family growing up, so make the most of it. Make friends. Go outside. Just have fun.
Each one of the Eds are outcasts in their own way .. Ed is a child who has learning difficulties and lives in a basement and his little sister is clearly the favourite spoilt child who treats him terribly .. Edd (double d) is super smart and gets Called a dork because of this and his parents don’t interact with him much only speaking to him through sticky notes .. and clearly has some self esteem issues needing to wear his hat all the time .. and finally eddy who feels like he’s living in his brothers shadow and just wants to be cool .. and secretly everything he said about his brother is a lie to try and seem cool when Behind closed doors his brother was very abusive to him , I’ve always found it very sweet that each of the Ed’s find comfort in being each other’s friend they can relate to being outcasts and having the same name .. the ending to the big picture show was brilliant to finally see the Ed boys getting the acceptance what they deserve !
Isn't it a bit odd to say that Eddy just needed appreciation despite all the horrible things he did but Eddy's brother deserved _his_ punishment? For all we know, his behavior has reasons behind them too. Sibling/physical abuse is never okay, but shouldn't we extend that same "perspective" hand to Eddy's bro?
@@toamatoro570 True but that's just an easy write off from a younger brother or younger person's viewpoint. The older brother had to have gone through something, but as someone else stated it's not really said if he did
rhonda howard Eddys brother had malicious intent behind the beating he gave Eddy. Thats why the whole group was horrified. There have beating in the shows before, but most of them have been cartoony, or for a reason. Eddys brother was just being horrible to him. Eddy, while being a shithead, was never malicious or evil. He just wanted attention.
I’m glad that he was redeemed because all I ever wanted was just acceptance. This cartoon is one of the main reasons why I’m trying to be kind to everybody too. Thank you for posting this I like how you explain these kinds of videos. You’re a very good storyteller my friend.
That was very good. But how can you tell if someone is fake or not? Do we just accept that person that he is a scammer? My friend is just like Eddie. He scams professionally in real life. And I try to be a friend and accept him for who he is. But I feel like he is just using me?
Remember that episode Eddy assumed another identity called "Carl" that everybody likes and Eddy eishing to stay as "Carl" forever? It is implied deep down he hated himself for this...
I'd say a major difference is age, and why your friend is a scammer. Eddy scams the kids, the popular group who shun him, either for admiration or to get candy for himself and his friends. From his perspective he can justify it as some sort of vengeance or justice for his exclusion. If your friend scams people just for extra money or because he likes the power, then he's probably using you. If he does it for what he sees as a good cause, then there's hope for him and maybe he can learn to not be so exploitative.
This is just a beautiful analysis. I remembered loving "Ed, Edd n' Eddy" as a kid and you did a great job capturing what the message of this show conveys; that anyone deserves a friend.
I appreciated this movie. I loved that Eddy, the meanest of the Eds, had repented of the lies he made up about his big bad brute brother and for the scams. Most of the Cul-de-sac kids then accepted the Eds(wonderful ending). And the part where Double D was turning his back on Eddy and so Eddy confessed how much his friendship with Double D meant to him(after Eddy had been a toxic friend to him throughout the series) grabbed my heart. Thank you for this commentary. :)
Dang that's wise! I watched that movie almost everytime Cartoon Network aired it when I was a kid and yet I still never thought of it that way. Thanks for this video, you just reminded me as to why I love Ed, EDD and Eddy so much ;)
This show is by far my favorite show of all time honestly. I used to stay home every Friday night to watch the Ed's on cartoon cartoon fridays. For 11 years I watched this non stop hell I still watch either clips or episodes everyday. This is by far the best cartoon, Cartoon network has made ever. So sad that it ended but this Made for tv movie series finale was a perfect send off for such an amazing beloved show cartoon network's longest running series I may add.
I am so upset right now, I remember watching this show as a kid and well, I wish it never ended, I recently got back into the show about a week ago, and I knew the show ended but still, seeing this, seeing the message portrayed in this, seeing my favorite character Eddy cry, is just so difficult to see, it makes me want to go back as a kid and just see the experience I had when I was little, I’ve seen finales on several cartoons I used to watch, but this one hit me, and I barely even remember it. I want this show to come back, that is my wish, I wish they make like a new show like on adult swim or something, I would love that.
I remember watching it the day it came out when I was a 10 year old kid, and remembering how heavy it was. This was one of my favorite shows and it was crazy to see it end. The creator jumped in between the commercial break to thank the fans and whatnot which was really cool, but I'll always remember the crazy mix of emotions it made me felt
I think the show plays off Eddy’s brother as a prankster really well. Some of those things do just seem like pranks older siblings would pull on younger ones. It’s seeing it in hindsight that makes it scary. The map episode always drove me crazy. The map didn’t have a starting point, end point or directional compass. Even with eddy’s ear being the X they shouldn’t have been able to read that map 😂 double d could’ve had it upside down for all we know.
Those last lines you said, that everyone would need, is a friend, perfectly sums up Elton John in Rocketman. Sure he was a jerk starting in 1975, but not many fans knew his backstory. And the one friend who was there for him, for better or worse, was Bernie. By the way, do you think you can do a review for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV movie Turtles Forever? It’s nearing its 10th anniversary too.
This review made me tear up a bit... I didn't consider that... "Eddy acted like a jerk cuz it was how he was raised and taught by his abusive brother who he idolized... Eddy is still a jerk, but now we know where it comes from. And on the inside he's looking for someone to appreciate and love him." Doooooohhhh... Gosh man... 7:50 I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying...
It would be cool to see a spin off based on Eddy’s brother before the events of big picture show. Eddy’s brother going on a misadventure, owning a theme park etc. Kind of like how DC made a movie based on the Villain Joker
2009 was the last of the 90s kid era productions.... metal gear, Wallace and gromit, encarta, cartoon network classic cartoons. They all finished on a damn good note. There will never be another time like that. I just wish I appreciated more back then

"No more beating up little Eddy, eh big brother?" - An Ed is Born
"Okay, maybe I was a little tough! But that's how my brother taught me! The only way to get it right, is to get it wrong!"
- Ed in a Halfshell
It's amazing how much small but significant foreshadowing there was in those early seasons before the movie.
Ss. 7n9
Nー
I think the SHOW actually shows Eddy's father is the main key to his brother being the way he is. The grades episode showed that his dad was a VERY big source of fear for him. It'd be safe to say that Eddy's brother was also a victim of abuse and took it out on Eddy... and that mentality never left.
Several years ago a UA-camr created an animation called the bro show. According to him, he believed that Eddy's dad failed in raising Eddy's brother, but wants to do better with raising Eddy
TheGreatestCommenter ahh I remember that! So good! that same animator made a Harvey Danger AMV featuring Kevin whom he also felt was a troubled kid
Eddy’s Dad is the Thanos of the cul-de-sac.
To be fair, if you grew up with strict parents you could relate to him
"When am I going to learn Double D?"
I dunno why but when Eddy said that, it made me tear a bit.
I know that feeling he has,
It's that feeling of knowing what you're doing is wrong, knowing that it only hurts you and others around you, knowing that you're trying to justify the years of abuse and heartbreak by the people in your life that are supposed to be the definition of support and love for you.

@Ayden Pratts eddy is in love with double d, THEY WERE HOLDING HANDS
Can we also take a second to appreciate the Kankers in this movie? I know they've done horrible things to the Eds in the past, and sure, there technically in love, but just stop and think about it for a second:
Once they learned that the Eds were being chased down to be given the worst beating of their lives, they actually were willing to go after them through an entire day and overnight into the next day to protect them.
Did they rape Eddy's brother?😂

@@HalfTangible then that means hes been getting bullied since then.
HalfTangible what episode is that
@@ecantu2301 Every Which Way But Ed, I think? It's one giant flashback where Eddy initially is trying to explain to the others how he got a jawbreaker.
Plus why would his old stuff but there?
So we're just gonna forget about Jonny getting shunned from the rest of the gang and becoming a straight-up villain in the epilogue? OK.

It was Ed edd and eddy then it was regular show and then adventure time they all had great fantastic endings that will make me remember my childhood
Lol 28 years old childhood
This was such a fantastic finale. Not only because of everything you said, but also *Sarah does NOT yell at any of the Eds.*
I think Sarah is glad that Ed wasn't like Eddy's brother.
But we never saw any backstory of him
As Double Dee pointed out, his brother should have been setting an example, being the older sibling.
He just wanted attention.
demifolk Sure but what made him that way? Is Eddy’s brother a sociopath or was his cruelty crafted by others? We don’t know.
"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve."
-Stand By Me
This actually made me tear up 😥
I’m glad that he was redeemed because all I ever wanted was just acceptance. This cartoon is one of the main reasons why I’m trying to be kind to everybody too. Thank you for posting this I like how you explain these kinds of videos. You’re a very good storyteller my friend.
When Cartoons was full of heart, talent and memorable moments❤️
That was very good. But how can you tell if someone is fake or not? Do we just accept that person that he is a scammer? My friend is just like Eddie. He scams professionally in real life. And I try to be a friend and accept him for who he is. But I feel like he is just using me?
He probably is, to be brutally honest.
The point is to understand the reason why he is like that, also eddy show that his scams were a bad idea and apologise
Thanks for this video, you just reminded me as to why I love Ed, EDD and Eddy so much ;)
A quote I think about a lot is "Those who deserve love the least, need it the most."

Can’t live with them
But can’t live without them either
With me being born in may of 1996, I almost literally grew watching this, spongebob and the farily odd parents almost since birth.
I always knew Eddy brother is a Bully from the very beginning like the treasure, the spooky Ville map and the package full of baby stuff
Being honest, for the longest time as a kid, I thought Double D was a girl.
Lol so did I when I was a kid
I used to think Ed was a Simpson's character
Same until at some point I just thought it didn't make any sense
Same.
HOW TF DID PEOPLE THOUGHT HE WAS A GIRL LMAO 💀
This review made me tear up a bit... I didn't consider that... "Eddy acted like a jerk cuz it was how he was raised and taught by his abusive brother who he idolized... Eddy is still a jerk, but now we know where it comes from. And on the inside he's looking for someone to appreciate and love him." Doooooohhhh... Gosh man...
7:50 I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying...
This special was so wholesome. Still makes me smile ear to ear when the entire gang reconciles with the Eds.
It would be cool to see a spin off based on Eddy’s brother before the events of big picture show. Eddy’s brother going on a misadventure, owning a theme park etc. Kind of like how DC made a movie based on the Villain Joker
I still watch Ed Edd and Eddy🙂
Where Can I find full seasons?

2009 was the last of the 90s kid era productions.... metal gear, Wallace and gromit, encarta, cartoon network classic cartoons. They all finished on a damn good note. There will never be another time like that. I just wish I appreciated more back then
Wallace and Gromit's getting another short film next year.
Sir, your channel is an inspiration. It has shed a massive light for me on different values, the pursuit of knowledge of wisdom being one of them. I have seen through you how expanding one's knowledge means that the scope through which you view things captures incredible detail and information. Thank you. Keep up the good work Sir.
I didn’t need the feels... i just wanted analysis

Ah shit! Here we go again!
haha that is spot on xD
Everyone are the Ed boys friends
Except Johnny and Plank
I used to wonder what friendship could be!
Ed Edd n Eddy!
Until you all shared its magic with me!
That;s really why i love the movie and i still remember all of it. Literally my favorite part of the movie is when they see Eddy's big brother and the brother starts abusing him so all of the kids get together. When we see eddy's brother abusing him you can really feel impending doom.
Man Ed, Edd n Eddy was my shit since then but I will always remember them
I am so glad people still remember Ed, Edd n Eddy
