Now that it's been over 4 years since this was uploaded, that joke in the beginning is hilariously relevant. Kudos Lord Kramer, our VFX God. You successfully future proofed your videos like a true genius.
What I appreciate is your simple method to achieve quite complex effects. Such clever use of combinations of native plugins to achieve the layers of animation.
Procedural techniques are really useful. These kinds of animations I usually do them manually by animating a stroke from a shape layer using trim paths.
what an awesome and powerful set of tools! This is one of the best After Effects tuts I've ever seen even 2 years later! Thank you for not using mostly 3rd party plugins or outdated examples that make it hard to play along! That is so common in these tuts, but here you give us all the controls we need right in the software!
-when you're watching this video like 3 years after, and this stile isn't in the trend... Me: DUDE this looks AMAZING even in 2020 it will look stunning
i haven't even finished watching the video yet but i just wanted to say, you're explaining this so well! i'm barely learning how to use AE and your tutorials are so helpful. subscribed!
OMG Andrew! What a nostalgia found your channel! I learned how to use AE by watching your videos back 5 years ago! Still alot of stuff to learn from you!
Excellent tutorial! Loved the concept of using Scale Wipe to create shadow, Linear Wipe for masking and feathering the shadow and the Time Remap slowing concept!
Looking forward to trying a variation of this on my next freelance job! You always come up with amazing ways to combine different effects and techniques to create awesome motion graphics. Thanks for sharing, Mr. Kramer!
Video Copilot :@1:00 minute "we're going to be teaching you a retro...". I subscribed. Good writing like 1 minute in to my first video of yours, and the creative content is production level, it makes the previous few stabs in the dark I took to update my knowledge to a newer version of AE.
man i really appreciate your stuff. that's very detailed.. and after each tutorial i learn smth new. thx a lot bro. it would be very tough without your tutorials to learn AE from scratch... peace man and thx a lot
Hey, Andrew! Long time fan! Awesome job with this one. The style seems a step outside what you normally do. I love it! I work at a TV station and noticed that the editors of the Maury Povich show are also big fans of yours! This season's title sequence uses an animation straight from your Advanced Spin FX Tutorial! Made me laugh, thought I'd share. Sorry I couldn't find a picture online. :( Anyways, good luck in 2015!
This _is_ three years+ into the future and, well I like the lightning better! Because, you know, we don't quite have lightning rod hexagon intros, _yet?_
Awesome, still learning Ae and all the CoPilot software. Trying to cram all the tutorials has given me a migraine over the last 2 weeks lol. Thanks Andrew!! :)

Now that it's been over 4 years since this was uploaded, that joke in the beginning is hilariously relevant. Kudos Lord Kramer, our VFX God. You successfully future proofed your videos like a true genius.
