Baby girl is such a good eater! She's attacking that Mac and cheese like she's leaving the next day, 🤣. As a mom I love seeing the littles eat with such gusto. Bless her, she's beautiful.
Smoked turkey tastes very different than roast turkey. My dad used to smoke turkeys in his smoker at home for our Thanksgiving and Christmas Turkey. With the smokey taste, smoked turkey tastes more like "ham" sort of than regular roast turkey. and yes is moist not dry when smoked in smoker.
If you cook turkey on a low heat for a long period of time, it will not be dry. Low heat meaning about 225 degrees as it is done at about 190 so it takes many hours for this low heat cooking. Since it is a low fat poultry fast and hot will leave the white meat very dry. These guys are pros at long hours of cook time.
I don't have a smoker but smoked turkey is so good. For stuffed turkey during the holidays I use a baking bag to keep the roast turkey moist. The homemade bread stuffing helps as well if it's moist enough when you stuff the turkey.
As a Texan, I'm so happy to see you try Terry Black's. You mentioned having to get on a plane. I would have slept the whole flight in a food coma. It's worth it. Whoever starts the first Terry Black's franchise in London is going to be so wealthy. No offense meant. I love some English foods like your fish and chips and nothing beats a Gregg's sausage roll, but they've never experienced real barbeque.
Man this video feels like a life time ago. Even though it hasn't been that long since you 1st went to Terry blacks. 7 months ago. Elana has changed so much in that short amount of time.
Elana never has enough! They say Black's isn't the best & I have no doubt there is better. But it is good enough for the likes of me. LOL!! I regularly (sorta) eat at a chain BBQ which is a few notches down from this (and a half or third the price) and it is fine. But if you travel overseas to try a BBQ of some region, you should try the best.
Viewer from Austin. Yes we have TB's and several others that are fantastic. I take my kids there occasionally but you have to account for the cost of eating bbq. It's very expensive. My daughter's away at college and every time she comes back home she insists on going to TB's.
Developing the critical tastes are IMPORTANT for BBQ, and perfection is The Next Plateful. Eating beef ribs - take lessons watching zombie movies - dive in, bite some and tear off a big hunk. And pickles go WITH meat in yer mouth-!
Y'know, I would love to see a bunch of UK reactors who do a lot of American food content get together for a big potluck Thanksgiving. Among other things, something has to be done about the British disparagement of turkey.
I'm curious : y'all mentioned not being able to take food on your flight. Now, I don't know the new rules for an international flight but since Covid(I've flown with several airlines) most domestic flights allow you to bring food on board. This is because the airlines don't serve proper meals anymore. At least those under 6 hours. And of course, you can't get through security with even bottled water (USA). But I found out that you can take an empty bottle through and then refill it at most stations. First time I flew after lock down; I was shocked to see everyone bringing food on board!! When I noticed people going through security with empty water bottles; I was confused, why do that? What's the point? That's when I noticed the water fountains (public drinking stations) weren't available; instead they'd been changed to a refill station! Lol, I had been buying my water after the security check point and it's expensive inside an airport!
Don’t understand what the British do to their meats. Have never, ever had dry turkey. Also, I think your beef roasts are tough. I bet Mrs. H. would be able to cook them properly !! ❤️
This is a new play list called "Clips" its basically the taste test without the Jibba Jabba etc this also applies to cooking - you get to see the finished article straight away and eating !
Next trip you need to try BLACKS (original) BBQ "Terry Blacks" is an offshoot of the original "Black's BBQ" a couple of nephews of the Blacks ownership... they had to change the name, since Black's (the uncles) didn't want them blowing their reputation. Just sayin'.
When I make my late Mom's baked M & C I use no less than five different kinds, adjusting the kinds depending on what flavor profile I'm after. But there's always smoked Gouda in there somewhere.
@@mescko Yes! That's what I'm saying -- 5-6 different cheeses and Gouda is a must for its creaminess. Fontina cheese is good too. When people say mac 'n cheese is too cheesy it always leaves me confused. I don't know it any other way!
I'm currious. Why could you not take at least the meat home? Just wrap it up in butchers paper and a little foil around it and stick it in a carry on.. I do it all the time when I travel.. Just so you know next trip. Not the sides, maybe the beans
Man...how cold were the burnt ends by the time you got to them? The meat has to be eaten first, I'd think. Get it while it's hottest. Not when it has had time to cool down. Sides are sides.

I just watched that baby get Mac n cheese and dip it in bake beans. That might be the smartest child to have ever lived. BRILLIANT!!
It's a beautiful thing.
She's figgured the hack. Smart baby.

5:04 ...had to mention (Sweet Caroline)
playing in the background. Commonly played as a "crowd participation" song at football games.
It’s big here for the England football team (soccer)

I think an important key to getting juicy turkey is to watch your temperature. Use a thermometer and pull it at 160°F (71°C).

❤Crumble the cornbread on the ranch beans🤤🤤🤤I hope you tried their peach cobbler🤤🤤🤤one of the best out there.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, we’d love to see you guys smoke a turkey breast over the holiday season. 😊🦃
Hey guys, wishing you the best.
Hey Will 👋
If you guys give the Thanksgiving turkey another try this year with your new exposure and skills it should be yummy.
Would love to go to Terry Blacks❤😊!
Which foods will you miss the most from the USA after ya'll get back home?😊
That’s a tough one !! Loved so many foods from BBQ to pies to Tex Mex !!

Living the good life !!!

I tried to smoke a turkey but it wouldn't fit in my bong. 😂

Mrs H judging brisket is true Texan. I share your opinion :-)
I'll bet you had to waddle into the plane. If you ate all that, you were stuffed.
Did you guys meet Lauren Compton while you were there? She is an American icon!
what happen you didnt try the rib

DID YOU DO A SINGLE SMOKE OR DOUBLE SMOKE SAUSAGE ROLL ON YOUR HOME GRILL
I'm convinced your cows are different and they need some fat to eat! BLY! xoox
And now I’m hungry for some barbecue. BLY!
Don’t understand what the British do to their meats. Have never, ever had dry turkey. Also, I think your beef roasts are tough. I bet Mrs. H. would be able to cook them properly !! ❤️
That's the way I like my ribs ... sweet and peppery.
TWO!
Okay, this is pre-TWO. 😁
She's been raised on BBQ.
Why did you post an old video?
This is a new play list called "Clips" its basically the taste test without the Jibba Jabba etc this also applies to cooking - you get to see the finished article straight away and eating !
1 min into the video and i realized there's no creamed corn. 😔
Pork ribs should be tender but firm enough so that when you take a bite you should be able to see your bite mark clearly defined.
How much did all that food cost you.
Mrs. H, mac and cheese is supposed to be cheesy. That's the original recipe. Anything else is modeled after that boxed stuff.

only she can putdown terrys brisket
The price Blacks is charging is criminal
👍👍
'Merica, am I right?
Seen this before can you eat something other than barbecue! How old is this kid now ?
✌️
Your child looks 2 years younger than previous videos. Are you reporting old vids?
Sorry, but I’m confused as to why you’re running this video again? It seems the same as when it was posted several months ago.
These are our "Clips" videos - shorter and straight to the taste test (Without the Jibba Jabba) lol
@@BritishFamily 😉👍🏼

Baked beans no thank you. Also why do brits not put food on their plates ?
Meanwhile millions of people are starving to death.
What happened to all ur reaction videos? Last time I was here u had 200k subs. ?
