Sounds a little zesty. Make sure it's clear you want to fight 😂😂😂
Tish here, by far one of the coolest things I’ve ever done 😂😂 you a legend coach!
The man himself! Tish you are such a good sport man. Thank you for elevating the content and bringing great energy to the day
Your a great guy
Great video brother. Been following your instructional content for a while. Happy that I could provide some inspiration 💪🏼
The man himself! I've been impressed with your content for a while now. I lived in LA for 6 yrs - if I ever make it back that way we need to collab!
Another B.S. fake post. WTF.
@@WrestlingUniversityok try putting me into a figure four Head scissors.
Respect to the 1st big lad lol, he enjoyed trying and didn't seem he was muscling with force
Tish has a great energy about him. Glad that shone through on camera.
@WrestlingUniversity glad you put on for wrestling 👏🏾 very underappreciated sport- modern day Spartans w/ Juijutsu
Man I wish id run across this 😂
Edit: bro you gave it to him in CHANGE?! Mad disrespectful 😂
$100 in change coming to a city near you ;)
You come across as a real, chill, and humble dude. Like the content and glad to see someone legit promoting wrestling. Keep it up! Subscribed.
Appreciate that brother. Welcome to the channel!
I've done some wrestling for fun in my younger years. I even beaten the assistant coach in P.E. in my 7th grade year. I'll be 58 on October 22, 2024. Haven't wrestled in quite a while so i would be rusty at it now. Still, I wouldn't be beyond giving it a try.
Dude you have 100k subs now? I found you at like 1k. Thats wild..good stuff
Artem the train, good to hear from you brother. The goal’s to be the most impactful wrestling channel on YT, I won’t forget the og’s who helped me get there 🫶
@@WrestlingUniversity i think you are one of the most impactful for me already for mma. Too many amazing bjj instructors still have no wrestling and it makes it tough to employ grappling in mma. You got that main wrestling focus that still keeps bjj in mind. It's a super valuable mix and I very much appreciate it.
@@vaughnordakowski8774 man it warms my heart to hear that. Glad I could help in some way on your martial arts journey 🙏🏻
@@WrestlingUniversity
It takes some ball to get out there and, while challenging others, challenge yourself. My hats off to you and all the "takers" that took the challenge. Your content is extremely helpful. I subscribed and will continue to support this channel.
Definitely nerve racking. Especially at first. Appreciate the support brother 🙏🏻
@@WrestlingUniversity Keep doing what your doing!! I’ll support you.
against that bottom side control guillotine better go north south. changing angles to the arm that strangles you is risky. correct me if i'm wrong, bjj guys here?
great wrestling channel!
That's 100% correct. I deliberately didn't advance the position bc I thought it qualified as a takedown, but there was a miscommunication between Sean (the contestant) and I so we kept going for a little longer. It was actually Sean who was so freakishly strong he lifted me off the ground by my neck and rotated my body to the guillotine side lol he definitely gave me a run for my money. And welcome to the channel!
As soon as Sean tried to hit the arm drag when you two were shaking hands at the start of the match, you could tell he was a wrestler.
Tish did great! Few months of training and he'd be a problem 😅
Dude is an absolute unit. Hope he gets into grappling
Good video! Keep up the good work and spread the sport ❤
Thank you! Will do!
This type of content deserves way more likes
Awesome work & great respect bro! Love to see it - keep spreading the love & knowledge.
Thank you! Will do!
Shawn will definitely survive a zombie apocalypse. I tried re-watching it and paused it but even after you explained it I still don't see when he bit his tounge. When he says "that's a take down" he says it with no problem. Did he cut his tounge after he breaks out of the headlock?
Good video! Good vibes. Makes me wish I lived near one of these places where people film these wrestling and arm wrestling videos, or even a park where hustlers play chess. Maybe I'm just lonely lmao
lol ngl joining a BJJ gym puts you in a solid community 👊
@@WrestlingUniversity I tried that for a year and I respectfully disagree but I'm sure that depends on the gym.
Shout out ETS by Wrestling U! One of the best pieces of grappling content I have purchased

Come up to Canada homie we can wrestle in the snow!
Have family in Hamilton!
That one wrestler was a Chad. Bro shrugged off a bloody mouth, sandy back, and denied the money cause he lost fair and square and walked off into the horizon with his chin and chest up with his girl lol
Sean's a stud. Glad he did the challenge, wouldn't have been the same without him.
We need an instructional on how to take down bigger opponents, Coach!
That actually drops soon! Stay tuned brother 🙏🏻
@@WrestlingUniversity I have a big, strong, old bastard at my gym that gives me fits, Coach. Can’t wait!
Billy, we're gonna get that old bastard. Stay tuned
This is awesome hahaha. Dude I hope you put sunscreen on.
You're one of the most respectable people that do this
🙏🏻
You need to face Georgio Poullas
And we’d see the obvious skill difference
Maybe you and Georgio Poullas will run across each other one day lol.
Two 'takedown challenge' content creators running into each other is a skit waiting to happen.
And tommy G
This guy doesn’t want that smoke dude
Spreading the good word, let’s go brother😤

Maryland is a super underrated wrestling state imo
@@WrestlingUniversity I never wrestled officially but I was at an mma gym for 2 years in my early 20's and we had a handful of former d1 guys who wrestled 120-150 ish and they took me down at will for about 6 months. I got pretty good because I became obsessed, ended up winning some barracks wrestling titles in the navy against actual wrestlers a few years later. Wrestling the lighter guys is where its at, I got some sneaky shit but would absolutely still get owned. I fell in love with the sport way too late. I'd love to think i'd get out of a few ankle picks and singles, they were the bane of my existence for so long lol.
Now I’m with a knee injury. You help me with keeping up my motivation to comeback as soon as possible. Mad respect!! 🫡👌🏻
Warms my heart to read that. Do you plan on using 'Knees Over Toes Guy' Ben Patrick's rehab system? Has worked wonders for my knees
Great vid and yeah Daytona ain’t playin lol
Truly lol
Another guy that challenges big folks. You should check out Georgio Poullas. He offers $1000 to take him down. I've never seen him lose, and all his videos are in shorts. I've actually never seen a better wrestler
Georgio is slick. Would love to collab with him. And the $1000 challenge is coming up 👀
@@WrestlingUniversity I wasn't trying to say that your challenge isn't valid unless you do 1000, my B. Your shit is top tier whether it's 10-10000.
Appreciate that brother
Georgio Poullas did a similar video. Crazy seeing how dominant wrestling is!
W wrestling university this is how you grow the sport
🙏🏻
@ 2:38 when you had the bear hug. Rather than using your right foot. Use your left foot to chop in behind the knee while simultaneously pulling the upper body in the opposite direction. The chopiing behind the knee, i learned it in my Karate class. When I became a Judo stylist, I would use the same technique to the back of the knee. I have also trained in Catch Wrestling. During a sparring session, i ended up in the same position you did. I applied the technique. Remember, im sure you know this since you wrestle. It doesn't require brut strength as it's more technique to make the move work.
You and Georgio Poullas got business.
Seems we’re on a collision course 🥲
Nahhh bro really paid dude in small change 😂
😅
awesome ❤
Thanks!

You are a beast man!! 💪
Appreciate that Juan 😁
Coach, you are in a good, strong shape! Greetings from Holland
Thank you very much!
That was inspiring. I hope the big dude’s tongue is ok.
Sean gave me a tough time. Hope he shows up here in the comments and lets us know he's ok.
What a cool video, bro!😎
Was a blast to make, glad you enjoyed it. Hope to do more like it!
Excellent job that first guy to if he would’ve known how to do a wizard oh my gosh he had like different throws. He could’ve done. He could’ve actually put him in a power half. I mean it’s good but that’s why it’s really important and I see what he’s trying to do. He’s trying to get people to understand how awesome Wrestling is cause. I love it a lot, but I mean I sit back and I’m like holy shit.
Just subscribed. Fun video. I'm age 21 and did gymnastics almost 14 years. When I was age 15 going on age 16 I was severely beat up by 3 older athletes from my school. I'm from Ukraine and adopted and brought to rural USA. I was put in gymnastics by age 4 (as part of national gymnastics program). Guys at school were not into immigrants and definitely didn't like male gymnasts and falsely assumed my sex orientation (implied by their language). They found me alone on a summer night at my school doing a bar workout by sports fields. They said they wanted to have some fun punching the fuck out of my "gymnast abs." They put me in a full nelson and took turns throwing hard punches. It turned out that over 10 years of training my abs hard for gymnastics also made them able to take a lot of hard punches. I lasted on and off over 30 minutes. I felt small held in a full nelson as big muscular taller athletes beat me up. Within a week I walked into our summer school weight room--my first time in there. I met some wrestlers. They saw how badly I was beat up and got angry. I told them I would love to learn to lift weights for gain a lot more muscle mass--legs in particular. They told me how much they admired gymnasts and the hard work we put in. I grew over the last 2 years of high school and fell in love with heavy weights and legs days in particular. I got deeper into training my abs to take hard punches because of some wrestlers who were into that. They also got me to learn some wrestling and liked using me to practice with. My goal was to see how long I could last before I got pinned. I got better and a coach kept wanting me to join the team and get trained well. But unfortunately I was still busy with gymnastics and weigh training and into severe abdominals training (SAT plan we developed). I learned a few months ago that my real age is 21 and not 22 as I was told. The US naturalization found the mistake. I'm lucky my first US election I was of legal age to vote! That info has been corrected. I now work in construction (for almost 2 years) and their lawyer was a big help with me fixing all my birth date issues including SS. But it makes me revisit all that happened to me as a kid a year younger than I thought. I was always the smallest kid in my grade even if one of the most muscular kids. I started gymnastics so very young that I don't know if I would have loved wrestling too if I started young. I have huge respect and gratitude to the wrestlers who took me in so to speak after guys punched the fuck out of my abs so long and hard. They became my first non-gymnast friends I ever had. Gymnast friends lived about 2 hours away and saw them only there at the academy. So having these wrestlers as friends was huge. Over night my life in high school got so much better. But having a reputation of being able to take hard punches caused me to perform a lot. I got down to maybe 5-6% body fat as guys seemed to really like punching abs with no body fat. I made many mistakes and a few wrestlers saved me a few times when I was getting in over my head showing off. Both gymnastics and wrestling are sports where we compete individually but have a team to cheer us on. At school I felt I had wrestlers to cheer me on. I'm writing too much but love your video here and what you do. Thanks.
Had to bail. Felt Like barfing seeing the disgusting mud shark washed up on the beach
great vid! is it ever late to start wrestling??
Jersey Shore. It’s a very good wrestling area and there will probably be some good wrestlers on the beaches. Jersey is a top 5 wrestling state.
SOOOO MUCH FUN
Was truly a blast 🕶️
This guy vs TheKidGeorgio🔥
One day I can become a UA-cam wrestler so I can do fun stuff like this
Do this with a dagestani it will be so cool
God willing he’s OK now❤

If someone blocks you when you go in a shot that’s because you didn’t set it up and if so, anyways you back up when he steps forward you shoot again you have penetration and you turn the corner I’m going crazy.
bro that was sick of u to do thag u should promote that stuff more and not just wrestling but being heathier
Actually plan to start another channel for that purpose at some point!
Hey dude. Great fight! And nice grappling match too!! I want see you to an Oil grappling fight, like Ancient Greeks wrestle! I challenge you. Let's wrestle dude! I'd love a friendly Wrestling - Oil Grappling match with you. 💪💪🙏

Made easy work of everyone!
They were all such good sports about it too. Wrestling brings ppl together!
First thing me and buddies did when we walked into a bar was look for the guys with Caulifowered ears. Iowa come try some farm boys.
Not a bad policy tbh
I'm a California wrestler Id even think twice before challenging an Iowa wrestler.
I would take up the challenge but to Daytona I got 17 hrs flight haha
worth it ;)
The little boy was good.
Much respect! 🫡 Wrestling those bigger guys ain’t no joke especially cause they know how to use their size advantage. 💪🏽
Definitely. Appreciate the support brother
What’s up with you vs Georgio ?!
you look 5'11 barefoot? accurate?
5'11 and 3/4 inch. Kings round up ;)
That’s cool you guys were going to give the hundred dollars to the guy that bit his tongue…. He didn’t want it.

Come to Chicago and wrestle me
👀
dang how do you do that with strangers who don't have much wrestling experience and don't know how to fall properly and don't know when they're in danger without putting them at risk of bending their knee the wrong way when they fall over? You'd need to feel like you're a lot more skillful than them in order to be in enough control that you can hold back and look after their safety, otherwise they might want to sue you if they get injured. quite scary stuff.
With training tish definitely could of got him or even really do something in wrestling
Do you know jiujitsu?
Nearly 3 decades of high level wrestling experience? How old is this guy and what is his definition of high-level experience? Not questioning his skill but the math aint mathin . To me high level would be college/national wresting and I'm confused how a man that appears to be about 30 years old max can claim that
I get that a lot so I'll clear this up:
I started wrestling at the age of 3, I am currently 33 yrs/old.
Have won a total of 8 state championships in all 3 major styles of wrestling; folkstyle, freestyle, and greco-roman.
Have won or placed runner-up at multiple national tournaments. Former D1 collegiate wrestler for CMU. Former Junior Olympic Champion. You can get a full list of accolades in the bio section of this channel.
I grew up in the Midwest within the US in a dominant wrestling culture. I was surrounded by high level collegiate coaches from a very young age.
It seems I look young on video so many people don't believe my experience, which I understand. Hope this helps to clear things up.
@WrestlingUniversity It absolutely does thank you for taking the time to write all that, much love from a fellow midwesterner 💪
Giving the money in change is just a dick move. Why?
Blk guy was just tall and heavy . Calm down
Split 👅 wasn't fun😮 - wife forced ...
uh why tf you give money in pennies and quarters
I know I could get 1 td.
Stealing Georgios idea Ae
Go wrestle thekidgeorgio
Why I don't talk s#$t out in public I just suffered 2 serizures and almost bit my tongue off falling into the bathtub after taking a piss. thankfully my mom heard it and came in and called 911. My poor sister had to clean up all my blood. The nurses weren't happy when I came to and pulled out my respirator and feeding tube. Than I fell down my garage stairs later twice busting up my ribs and eye and head. We live in the Midwest and my sisters went to the University of Iowa which supposedly has a pretty good wrestling program and her roommate was dating a wrestler and I would always try to wrestle him but he took it easy on me cause he would have destroyed me lol. Why I don't fight anymore though I'm worried about getting hit in the head and having seziures.
Hi Coach! There’s another guy who does something similar to this. I’d love to see you two have a friendly match and have you two breakdown your guys video. Here’s his link. youtube.com/@thekidgeorgio?si=RPJa559nSOcvb7va
I’ve seen both of your guys stand up game and it’s really good. I do Jiu Jitsu but my wrestling sucks lol. Hopefully I get the chance to train with you one day.
Georgio is a tough dude, would be a fun match. If I ever make it back out to LA I'll see if I can make it happen 👊
