    Why do you have a plug for the leds going to the vesc? Seems you wouldn't need it because your using the dc converter and an esp32, wouldn't the only thing needed to go the the vesc is the enable lead from the dc converter??

    Does the CannonCore axel fit between pint rails?
    Could you make a slightly shorter fusion core or just a thinner version of the outer mounting system?

      The cannoncore motor does not fit the pint frame
      check out my other video titled "Vesc Onewheel Design - Part 1 - Structures" :))

    Do you have any plans to add heat sink fins to the axle blocks in the future?

    How does the IMU work? Isn't it stationary since it's in the middle of the motor?

    • @vesconewheel
      @vesconewheel  29 днів тому +2

      The axle is connected to the frame, hence the imu stays stationary relative to the board frame which is all it needs to function :))

      @@vesconewheelwith the IMU in the motor axel won’t the values be less of a range of movement compared to having the IMU at one end of the board?

    How does this setup deal with heat? I live in Arizona and would love to build one of these boards but I am afraid if I build one of these that it'll overheat.

      Yea. With the motor and esc in the hub that thing is gona be making some heat.
      Overheating will likely be a problem when going slow with high power draw, such as riding a hiking trail.
      Some sort of cooling system is needed. I think the best option would be heat pipes that lead from the hub to the rails.

      I also live in AZ and I have 3 friends building FCs with f6's so we will see how it fairs in the summer. There will likely be two boards done by christmas! From experience owning a FW its usually not the motor overheating and usually the ADV controller so there is definitely still room for thermal saturation there. The CC is really good at heat dissipation and there is a lot of available thermal mass so we will see how it goes.

      @gavincarrasco1542 What voltage are the boards going to be run at? and how heavy are the riders. I'd love to do a 32s and I'm about 215lbs. my GT has gotten close to overheating a few times last summer while out on a lunchtime ride. I ride street and sidewalks 95% of the time.

      @@matthewtinsley3688 I believe all the boards will be 32s2p. 2 xr frames and one gt frame. Riders weights are 135, 165, 200+. Both floatwheels have overheated in the summer but like I said it was the ESC and after a minute it was back to a normal temperature even when it was 110 out.
