I have the utility in sage green, use it in the gym and if I’m out being more active.. its great, solid it doesn’t move once its fitted

Great Review, One thing not mentioned is the "Hot Pull" straps at each corner that you can expose to quickly access your ccw.

The tabs are quick release. You choose a side to leave out and pull down for quick draw of a weapon. Tuck in if not needed.

I just picked one of these(survival pack) up from local 511 brick n mortar store. When I'm not carrying a pistol in it, I'll be using to it keep some small essentials handy while on my motorcycle..
With the labor day sale going on I paid $36 and some change
Definitely a good EDC bag, stuff you cannot fit in your pockets.
Guess the black tabs are useful for quickdraw. Guessing they are two for ambidextrous use. Nice vid

Good review on these. I have been waiting weeks for the HPG Runner Medium to come back into stock. I like the less tactical look it has. I am going to look into the 5.11 and may remove some of the tactical webbing. .. we'll see.
You and I are both waiting on HPG. The recon medium is out of stock as well.

5.11 Survival with their Velcro holster worked perfectly. Arrived in 5 days. It holds a full size Gen 5 G22 well. The HPG is still out of stock and I have what I need. Consider 5.11 if tired of waiting on HPG.

Why a g-shock copy?
HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO HILL PEOPLE HEAR LARGE KIT BAG OR HEAVY RECON?
I have not made time to set them up, but the one feature that I really like is the full hook/loop, so you can carry additional items. I am looking build one up with a kydex holster/mag for a shield and an older firestar. Just have not made time.
My only issue with these packs are how they look to citizens, do you think they make you look like a shooter or something i dont want someone calling the cops because i bought this bag?
I have been using my HPG (HillsPeopleGear) chest pack for about 4 years, I have used it normally when I do my walks, but I have also used it when I have to just step out and don't have time to put on my belt holster. I have never been questioned and or gotten any funny looks, that I noticed. But I have always said, that if someone is nosy and was to ask me what it was, I would just say that is it my "medical bag or epi pen bag" and not be rude and say, "mind your business" That is what I think. They are square and don't look like a gun holster, just a chest fanny pack. I have seen several people with small sling bags, same, same, in my opinion. I have always been of the opinion, that a normal citizen does not look for any one carrying a weapon, unless it is really noticeable. Only US with the lifestyle of 'weapon carry" will notice when someone is carrying. If you are license to carry or have constitution carry, your covered.

When I see 5.11 I think of Feds and assume there is a gun involved. Dead giveaway to me.
Can you put a velcro separator tu have to spaces in the main compartment!
I am not too sure what you mean? Based on which chest pack?? Survival or Utility?? The Survival had only one compartment. The utility has three compartments, but there is no hook/loop in the front/middle compartments, only on the back one.
Which one would fit a Glock 19 better? Between the 2 511 chest packs
I should have added measurements, but from another video I have seen, it’s 10.5 by 6. They are essentially the same size, I think either one would fit a Glock 19, it would be a matter of ‘how you place the velcro holster’. When comparing both, I think the question is which one to use for more gear. So, I would say both would fit the Glock 19. Given the time, I will do a short follow up video.
How are you gonna mount that holster to the bag? I’m just curious I wanna do the same thing

@@frankmischler4424 No, Sir….u can order any left/right handed holster you want, as long as use Velcro as backing to attach it to the inside. The beauty of this chest pack is you can swap out the holster as long you have velcro backing. I will do follow up video on this, next chance I get.
