It could be spider on the clutch backing off? But I did have a sportsman 500 99 model that both front calipers were seized and it was holding back it wouldnt run but 40 the front rotors were red when I realized what was happening
I’m having the same issue with my 600. It’ll crank over just like yours and it won’t start. I’m about to do new plugs. My bike has been sitting for about seven years.
Ya, my 2004 600 will do 65 mph all day! My buddies 2004 700 will do 70mph and he weighs more than me. I still have my 600 and bought brand new. Have only done normal service on it and still runs awesome! 💪🇺🇲💪
Ever heard of starting fluid? If that doesn't start it, look at the ignition system. If it's the original Ducati, it's a piece of crap. I had to replace mine at under 300 miles. It should top out at over 60 mph.
Damn--what type of battery did you install--what a PITA? Battery looks extremely small for the housing. I own a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI I've had for 18 yrs now and have installed a handful of batteries over the life but never one where I had to fill each cell with distilled H20. Just install a normal sealed lead-acid battery that will fill the housing or in today's age--a lithium-ion phosphate starting battery (very expensive) but will last 10+ years. Not sure if I want to continue watching?
My apologies--I didn't intend to be critical. I'll finish watching to get good ideas to improve the performance and longevity of my 700 ATV. Cheers to you for getting that 600 started and back in operation.
@@2StallGarage I just realized this was 7 months ago lol..if you still have the machine and it still tops at 43 there are tons of forums i found just by googling that helped me a bunch with mine
@@2StallGarageI actually had the same problem with mine I could only hit 18 mph though lol it was the grearcase rotary switch on the side of the the trans if that is bad you may not have 4wd as well and not all of your gear indicator lights on the dash will be on
@@2StallGarage if you think that could be the issue just Google gear case rotary switch there like 50 bucks but I just ripped the top cover off of mine and cleaned the connections and then sealed it back up and it works perfect
I would do more research on your ATV so you don’t look like you don’t know what your doing, like putting the shifter in High and thinking it’s in Park….
Burnin trails today! Have a great day. 🔧

I’ll check it out. Thought it seemed goofy. Thank you. 🤜🤛

Carb is dirty issue most likely.
Reminds me my fight with mine good times
It should hit 65 without hesitation those 600s we're actually just as fast as the 700 literally no difference except in low range

@213bunch good to know. Mine must have issues. Working on it this wrrk
It's not h2o it battery acid, that you put in when you're going to use the battery this way the battery is supposedly fresh
Brain/mouth miscommunication

My 500 runs 60 on GPS with interco vampire II tires. U may check that speedo
I bet you're right on the speedo. Never thought about checking it. Thanks!
Carb clean

Thanks for the constructive criticism and the positive words in your 2nd comment. 🤜🤛
Definitely something wrong then I have the same year wheeler and same size and I've been 70 with it
That’s good to know. 43 seems terribly low.

0-30 in 1.8? Maybe on jackstands.
@@Hammerback0 you would know. Or you prob don't own one.

Odd. The last video I watch the guy had the speedo to 55
