I love watching your videos. Thanks to you I totally refurbished my great grandfathers Waltham a couple years ago. The watch repair I had taken it to said it couldn't be repaired and it was in really bad shape. I thought I would give it a try and see how it all works. I did it all from total disassembly to finding parts, cleaning, oiling and reassembly. It ran perfectly and when I took it to a collector local to my area he said it was running right on the money. I was proud to see it come to life. That was a couple of years ago. I gave to my only brother with children so it could be past down to family. I continue to watch your videos and enjoy them all. Now I might be looking into a Rockford 16s with serious balance wheel issues and a bad click assembly. The screw won't tighten down or come out. I think it's a mess inside but won't know until or if I start in on it. Keep up the good work. Love it.
Hey bunn (or should I call you Mr. special?) Every new episode you air makes the day just that much better. Thank you, and will be looking forward to the next installment! ... and it sounds like your surgery went well, that's a good thing. I had spinal surgery last year (3 discs fused). My neck xray now looks like the Terminator. I might need you to clean and oil it someday 😉 😂 DT
Thanks, the surgery went well. The problem I had was that I did this 16 years ago, so I knew what was going to happen, pain and misery. I don't know who is in worse shape.
Hi. Glad you're back. The presto tool is also good for removing the canon pinion but the model you use is not suitable, has to be the other model. Cheers.
Great video , but needs a lighting guy. How do you clean the part's once its disassembled? I was debating on picking up a cheap ultrasonic cleaner on ebay.
Currently I have a jar with some naptha in it that I place the parts in and swish around. Before I do that, I go over the parts with a toothpick to remove the heavy-duty crud. I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner. I don't know if this is true but I read online that if you keep parts in ultrasonic cleaner to long it starts to ear away at them.
Are you talking about the hour wheel? That is the one that looks like it is missing a tooth in the video. I looked at the assembly video and the tooth is there. I think the dirt makes it look like a tooth is missing. I am tempted to take the dial off and check.
@@nathanhoward6472 No need for apologies. When I looked at the video, I thought the tooth was also missing. I then said to myself "How did I miss that!"
Hey BTW a little tidbit why I call ya Bunny besides the obvious. Growing up as a kid in rural Minnesota there was a service station(there might only be a few of us who remember those)in town that had been there forever; I grew up with that place, big ol weird overhang above the FULL SERVICE gas pumps and guys in dirty white shorts and little black bowties with equally dirty white skippers hats, came out to pump your gas, checked your oil, cleaned your windshield, checked your tire pressures, cleaned your mirrors and then before the tank was full(they knew by experience what yr/make/model held in its gas tank)asked if you needed anything else. The name of the place in big neon sign lights on the 3 stall attached was...."Bunny's Service Station." Bunny was a giant of a man that wore faded and stained Lee Jeans bib overalls with pockets stuffed with pens, 6" rulers, a pencil compass I think, Chesterfield smokes, three or four raggedy pocket note pads and God only knows what else. Always had a tin of "Cope" in his back pocket(watch and stay out of his way when he decided to schpit lol). The ever-present shop rag in his back pocket(that doubled as a sneeze hider he called it). He was bigger than life. He was there for 50 plus years or better. At his shop every. Dang. Day. All day. He loved people he loved all of us neighborhood kids and always welcome anyone to come sit in the shop to shoot the shit. Us kids got: pop. Candy. A fiver or two bucks cash to run a block up the street to hit he soda fountain for anything we wanted. He was the best to our little neighborhood of little misfits. He sponsored just about every kids sports teams that ever approached him. He'll, my dad even liked him. The whole 'hood did. I miss those days. You kinda remind me of him. At least your voice, humor and skill does. So, that's why I call you Bunny. Thanks for your excellent vids. I always look forward to the next one.
I appreciate the time you spend showing us your projects. Each video gives me a little bit more help on my watch projects.
Glad to help.

32 minutes out of my life that I will never get back.

Great entertainment, thanks again.

Where have you been? You were missed. .... look forward to seeing the reassembly
Thank you for your concern. I had to have surgery to replace my aortic valve. Assembly video has to be edited.
@@bunnspecial Sorry to hear that my friend; hope all is OK with you now. Your videos are both informative & entertaining.
Great to see you back.
Thank you.

What does the other model look like?
@@bunnspecial I tried to answer twice with a link but, apparently the system won't allow. Please search for "presto tool" and you will find out :)

Hi Bunn. Is there going to be a part 2?
Yes, I have to shoot an ending and then assemble all the clips. It will be an assembly video. I think it will clock in at over an hour.
@@bunnspecial great
Good to see you 👍
You did notice the broken tooth on one of the wheels did you not?

Yes, it was the hour wheel. Sorry that I got it wrong. It just looked like a missing tooth.

i would like to see the cleaning and reassembly process! great video as always

New vid….yaaaaa,
One of the 1st annoying things I notice at 9:59, is you are very repetitive.
Bad day, Jim?
