I broke the same part and needed to fix it myself, so I thank you for doing this step by step, i'll be fixing mine later on today. I just have to find the correct gas lines for my stove! Glad the video helped! When we use the 2 front burners we can smell a bit of gas and I don't remember it being like that. I would suggest to check for leaks before closing the top.
