My favourite band of all time. I was obsessed with George when I first saw him at the age of 12, that was way back in 82, I can't believe its been almost 40 years.
Wow wish I was an 80s teen. As a girl born in the early 90s I think I would’ve loved him too way back when.
@@lessismore8533 I shook his hand at one of his concerts. At another concert a sang out to him " Sing everything I own", he said "if you want to be famous bring your own record out". He wasn't happy, but it made my night.😂

i challenge anyone nowadays to look as gorgeous as boy george at that age, in a time without fillers and filters and editing and this and that he absolutely managed to be the most beautiful girl of the 80s. I still use several of his makeup tips and btw, the kardashians eyebrows trend in reality is a Boy George invention, the kardashians just make a bad dragqueen make up, Boy george does his make up like heaven.
I Love Boy George. He has a Big Heart an seems like the type of person you could have a cup of tea with an a nice chat.
If I were an 80s teen I would loved CC!

2:08. Sorry dude! But in Georges 1987 Spain interview he had 0% makeup on and still looked great ; though I barely recognized him. So funny because certain pics of him with makeup weren’t feminine enough for me to be fooled. I was just like “omg who’s that cute boy?” And then I saw another photo of him without makeup asking “who’s that other cute boy?”😂
He looked hot without makeup so idk what that guy was talking about.

Music was ok but 80s kids saw him as a cartoon character not lifestyle. Putting on act for attention a gimmick or a shtick.
Not all of them. Also, most Rock/Pop acts have gimmicks. You've heard of Kiss, right?
@@michaeltnewyorknights8413 Yeah I remember all the makeup these bands wore and it was a gimmick, including KISS. All the little boys went crazy for them and the guitarist Gene Simmons character was named Demon and he’d stick out his long tongue all the time and his boots were huge. Boy George had been dressing up for years before Culture Club because he said he likes to dress up. After time had passed KISS dropped the makeup . I could be wrong but I don’t think kids liked KISS for their music. I know Gene Simmons and his family had a reality show and no one called him “Demon”.
@@MsEvie15 I would say you're wrong that teenagers etc didn't like Kiss for their music. You don't last 50 years in this business, selling out huge arenas, simply because of a crazy get-up you wear on stage.
@@michaeltnewyorknights8413 Yes, you’re right. I did say that I could be wrong. I actually meant younger kids under 10, but I’m sure they did like the songs too. I liked one of their songs. I didn’t realize that they were together for 50 years. I especially like Gene Simmons makeup and his boots.
