No matter how bad the interviews are..George always comes up with a witty response and that makes him a better person at young age..the face, looks, talent and dedication to music, most importantly the wittyness, no one I think could ever emulate such especially during this generation..Love you Boy George😍😍😍 Youre the most amazing artist on the planet❤️❤️💗💓❤️
Thank you for having posted this interview! Boy George always has been so intelligent, so fast thinking, so witty! His art and his personality are absolutely admirable!!
Well hello to you Mr Boy George looking absolutely fabulous gorgeous handsome with your sexy eyes and your lovely hair I love listening when you do interviews because you speak so fluent and honest and I love and admire you for that at 23 you are a beautiful guy it's 2022 and still enjoy listening to your interview I will always love you for who you are stay strong and powerful blessings and respect always continue to do what you do with a passion your music ❤️❤️❤️✌️✌️✌️🌟🌟🌟🔥🔥🔥🥰🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹🌈🌈🌈🕊️🕊️🕊️📯📯📯🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌
Princess Margaret? Are you kidding me? That woman was pure disaster...Boy George was Britain's finest and biggest "thing" back then when Princess Insulting had the HONOR to meet him....Even more popular than she....I love you Boy George❤
If you were an 80s teen youre lucky. I wasn't. I find it so ironic George was called a "tart" because now theres a cosmetic brand called "Tarte" lol. Who got the last laugh?
Nobody could do their makeup like Boy George, not even the hard rock bands like Rat, Whitesnake, Motley Crue, Kiss, Poison and so on. Boy George was tame compared to these bands.
@@lessismore8533 It was the feminity of it; KISS looked like kids having fun at the fair, while BG was blurring the lines of gender. That's what got him so much negative attention.
@@fuscinula lol but Marylin had feminine makeup too. And many men had long hair in the 80s so it must’ve been the makeup but then again, Marylin did it too
He looks stunning, but this was sort of where you could see a change, George's ego started a self-sabotage campaign. There was a temptation to be carried away with the attention. A year and a half into massive success....and courting tawdry celebrity, instead of protecting what he had acheived. As a big fan of Culture Club and their musical legacy I can't help but feel uneasy about stuff like this. He wasn't a great wit or an alternative intellectual like Morrissey, Boy George was an out and out pop mega star, and his public relations people were careless to have him do these kind of interviews. To clarify, this sort of TV made him look bad, and too available, and always on the defense. Noone likes an effeminate queen - a beautiful one- who comes across as bitchy. If you're gorgeous, and somewhat unambiguous, you have to be nice. He did that for the first million interviews....then he couldn't stick it anymore. Good on him for surviving it, pitfalls and all. He was so young. It was the older people around him who should have kept a tighter leech, but unfortunately, they were too busy riding the gravy train
I know. Someone should have stopped them releasing The War Song and given them more time to make the third album. They were so talented and could have had a longer career.
@@martypellow9908 Anti War songs have a great message tho! You cant hate on it lol. How come other anti war songs dont get the hate CCs does? I feel like maybe the lyrics could've been stronger but ive never heard a war song that wasnt anti war. All anti war songs have the same uplifting message. However I DO agree their 3rd album had stronger singles like the medal song. But of course after Color By numbers their career started being rushed. At the end of the day, even if they released perfect music 24/7,it was Georges clash with Jon that started the downfall.
You gotta be fair to George tho as you said he was young and sudden success can get to ANYone. Plus Ive watched millions of CC interviews here on YT and I know that doesn't top the total amount of interviews George has done overtime. He was obviously overexposed and I know this and I wasnt even around back then. History repeats itself as when new eccentric artists debuted starting in the late 2000s, similar things happened. Of course George couldn't stay "soft" the whole time. Imagining bringing ASKED the same questions over and over lol. And when it comes bad attitudes, many interviewers had it too and George had to deal. A great example is his 1984 Australia interview. Funny you mention he's not a great wit because thats how he ended up on many talk shows in the first place. George himself explains they would try to force him to go on when he probably didn't want to. He explains this in a 1989 interview with a jerk interviewer
Good morning, Great Britain, Parliaments and Monarchy, You consider yourself as world heritage, all those gardens, excentric but pragmatic behaviour, literature full of elaborated English language... Become more Boy George again and less Boy Johnson, if you want to keep your heritage vital. PM George would never keep heritage in storage, running bankrupt... Great nation of sailors and traders, become global by being European and EUnionists again, or it'll end like the 'Notting Hill' movie with a twist in screenplay making Hugh Grant missing Julia Roberts at the end. Take a rational stance. Allow the 'others' to become yours and the 'You' become others! You'll gain everything in the end, instead of losing all there is. Have a brave heart, make EU policy again. Sincerely, Ale
Haa, I bet it was MJ who called him. It sounds like he would call and pretend to be someone else too. The fact that he had his number makes it more likely it was MJ.
He gave good answers!
Such a smart guy already at 23 yrs of age!

George was so far ahead of what is now becoming the norm. 💕✨

What lousy questions to ask him? Who is this ignorant interviewer?
What a load of crap that was. Emperors clothes. Empty noise.
