@@TabsMcCaffrey I’ve slowed down on my death pile listing - down to the stuff I’m less excited to list and a mish mash - but realized I DID have a bunch of fall/winter coats I’d been holding off on! Listed most already today - thanks for the inspo 😀
Thank you so much for all your help. I found this very informative. I just began selling and have sold $400. I love thrifting so it only makes sense to sell.
TABS! You have quickly become my favorite UA-camr and I'm so glad I found your vids. Keep up the great work, you are worthy of allllllll these successes :)
I get is frustrated when I click on a stock photo of a shoe and then the shoe is beat. I agree with not using stock photos when the condition is sub par.
I have read a ton of complaints on Posh Shows and cancelations. I personally dont watch them, but a big complaint (that has been brought to Posh's attention by many) is that the bid/buy botton is right where it can be hit without realizing. Accidentla buys are off the hook because of this. One lady (of many) won a $200 item, never realized she had bid, and was upset cause it wasnt the item she had watched the show for another item and didnt have that kind of money to spend, and the item she wanted went for like $25.
I actually wont even click on a Posh show anymore because I clicked to watch one night, wasnt interested in anything so I clidked out. The next day I received a notice that my payment failed on the item I won that I had apparently bid on when I was exiting the show...HUH? Thank God it failed! I didnt even know I had bid on it! Now I'm terrified of winning something that I dont want so I wont even go into a show.
Came here to say this. Posh needs to fix the system. And I get its annoying for the seller but in this case- its not solely on the buyer. Im strictly a seller & have almost ‘bid’ more than once. Ive never even watched a Live.
@brookefreeman7287 I don't watch them I tried a few times, but zero interest in them at all. But dang the comments from buyers and sellers is ridiculous over how often it happens.
Ya it’s tough. But I will say I’ve been in hundreds of shows and have never accidentally bid. Ppl need to be more cautious. As well Posh needs to fix the dang button!!
Amen to listing your death piles! Another factor that most resellers don't consider is the velocity of money. The longer the item sits unlisted, the less time it has to multiply into more inventory. If you spent $10, and you sell for $50 with a $40 profit, then you just multiplied into 4 more items. The more frequently you do that, the more sales you can make in a lifetime is amazing. It's the same principle as compound interest with an investment account, and the same reason why we accept offers. The faster you flip wisely, the more money you make.
OK that is ridiculous number one is ridiculous that I’m watching a video that’s eight months old and I just realized it😂😂😂 but for real what is ridiculous is that people are saying you’re only getting these sales and getting high number sales because of social media and You Tube? That doesn’t make any sense if you didn’t have things in your closet that people wanted to buy they would not buy them it wouldn’t matter if you had social media and UA-cam. Your closet looks good your listings are great your prices are on point you do your research and you have what people want to buy! It’s not like people are feeling sorry for you or anything and buying things for fun! You have what they want! Well I hope you’re doing well and again sorry I’m watching an eight month old video I just laughed so hard after that😂 And even if you can only put a video out once every couple months I think most of us will be here to watch it 🌟you can pretty much count on it😊😊 ❤ jen

I do a lot of sourcing by feel. I went into Lululemon and felt up all the pants and sweatshirts so I know what it feels like. VV often misses lululemon trousers and sweaters. Next time I go to Toronto I want to go Holt Renfrew and feel a $2000 cashmere sweater. My goal is between the 2 platforms $1000 a week. Still working on going thru the junk in my closet from when I was a baby reseller.
Hey Tabs! I’ve noticed your closet popping up a ton on my feed doing silent shows. I’m assuming you’re able to do this with the new poshsidekick feature? I’m hoping you can make a video about this method, if you find it’s working for you, what you’ve learned, etc. I’m interested in trying it out
Ahhhh I have been drooling over your sweater finds and am SO excited to purchase from you now in your US closet! Can't wait to receive that hand-knit sweater 😊 Great sales!

Question- for anyone - Is there a better way or a 3rd party app to help with sharing other ppls closets/listings?! I’m new to Poshmark but I see sellers have like 250k- 500k shares and I don’t understand HOW!!! Lol Is there a video on this? Or do I literally have to share each listing individually…aka spend lots of time doing so?? Which seems crazy on how to do it!! Is there a better way? Please help!! 🙏🏼 Thank you!!

Hi Tabs! Thanks for sharing your amazing sales with us! I agree with you totally!!! Listing items that people are looking for is so important. Brand and style knowledge is definitely a major factor. There is so much that goes into honing the skill! Your tips are so useful. I really liked one that you mentioned a couple videos ago. Hanging your new inventory right away. So helpful to keep what needs to be prepared and listed in view!!!🌺
Starting to sell on Posh US has been awesome! There are several items that just sat for months on my Canadian closet and sold in a week on my US closet. I also sold a large hand knit fisherman style sweater on my us closet. Woo!
Another great video where ever you are sourcing keep it up because I’m finding you have such good inventory lately just so much so that’s great thanks for the shout out girl love you❤
Would love to know exactly how to start Poshmark US closet (as I’m a Canadian posher). A video on all the specifics (shipping/carriers, etc) would be amazing! Thank you so much!!
This was a good video. Effort and research will give you sells. Period. I don't have a social media following, started from nothing a year ago, and I'm doing just fine with staying consistent, good photos, and listing what people want for the most part. Lives hasnt really affected me either. I dont do low starts or sell things for $3. Thats not my business model. In short, anyone can be successful on Poshmark or any platform if they have a plan and consistently stick to it.
So question, when you have an offer on a large bundle like that, do you dig everything out and weigh before accepting to make sure it's not over the max weight? I did that but then i was thinking what if they declined the offer? Thank goodness in my case they accepted after I dug out all the items and weighed them before sending them the offer. I mean I guess it wouldn't be that big a deal to put it all away if it didnt result in a sale but annoying😂
HOLY you sold so much, that is SO exciting! I sourced some super cute linen pieces that I have been sitting on for a while. I am thinking I need to retake pictures and revamp my descriptions. I am about to have my second baby at the end of the month, so my goal is to stop sourcing (lol so hard), finish my death pile (which is not that big... but 37 weeks preggo everything is hard haha) and try to send aggressive offers to get some inventory out before the new babe comes. I am excited to continue hearing about your US selling journey, I live super close to the US border as well and will consider starting up once my second little is a bit older.
Can a Canada buyer purchase from an US closet? I have a lady that wants to purchase a top and asked me if it’ll ship to Canada but I don’t know. Thanks.
Thank you for another great video Tabs, congrats on the great sales! I am excited to report I have hired two VAs to help me with my business, and currently in the process of adding another service to my business. Also I think you know me by now, I block people because I am protecting my most valuable asset which is my time! So I totally support you girl on your decision to block! To be honest the more I hear about issues with live shows, the better I feel about my decision not to get involved, even for the free advertisement it gives my closet. I already been dealing with people not paying on eBay. Plus I am working on building up my 4th platform I recently added, so I'm pretty business. Anywhos, thank you again for your awesome content! Keep kicking butt! 😆😊
Would love to get more info on how you are working out the cross border shipping issue because I think in the past you mentioned not having one in your city. My nearest cross border shipper is an hour and a half away so not really feasible for me but I'm trying to think of ways to get around this lol.
I'm a nurse and I have to say I agree with you on the Figs. I bought a few of their pants and never wore them (I should probably sell them). The pockets on their items are never very big and I have multiple phones, scanners, flushes, bags of meds with med cups etc to keep in my pockets. I think people just get them to be trendy. I see some people wearing them at my hospital but a lot more people wearing Wonderwink (that's what mine are). Carhartt also makes excellent scrubs, I have a few tops that I wear and some of their scrubs can resell well (definitely check comps though)
Defiantly true about selling larger sizes in the US. Pretty much anything under a 6 is considered tiny and will sit forever unless it's an awesome item and you under price it!
@@TabsMcCaffrey depends on buyer. If they're unknown new accounts, I'll wait till next day. Resellers IMO typically don't do this though I'm sure it happens. I've only noticed it with new accounts
Any one can help me I have a customer from Canada want to purchase watch from my closet but she said she can’t purchase because Poshmark doesn’t allow her to .do I have change anything in my account
Will you be putting out a video on how you work with your VA? I’d be really interested in hearing how you set things up - for example, do you give them access to your Poshmark account to draft the listings or is it done though another app?
Hello, I am new here. I love what you do! watched a few of your videos- Can you direct me into the right direction to set up the American account i am having some issues. I don't think i am doing it correctly. Thanks so much
Tabs, Poshmark must make corrections to the Silent Auction and the Live Auction features, accidental sales are NOT the fault of the buyer. I have made 3 accidental purchases - 2 from my children using my phone trying to close out the Live box. If you use PM app then you are in danger of accidental entry to auctions when the auction page is reduced to 1/6 my phone screen, it is ridiculous how easy it is to click on the buy tab. When the seller ignores the buyer’s message to cancel the sale it is unprofessional. I may remove the PM app from my phone altogether.
If you were at a live auction house, sales would be binding. This is going to be unpopular opinion, but your child bidding is your fault. If you were in a store and your child broke something. You would have to pay.
WOW! Great sales, Tabs! I really like that last Rales shirt - the gradient coloring is cool. - What did PM do to your sales, shadow ban? Why? Did you have to open a whole new closet in the US side or how does it work? - I just started sourcing and decided to pick up men's stuff too due to listening to other US resellers saying that menswear sells well. I have sold to men several times on PM including for gifts for the women in their lives (if it looks to me that they are buying gifts, I include a gift box and tissue paper so they at least have those for their gift giving). - I've heard via various UA-camrs' videos that they are no longer allowing cancellations, so I decided that I would follow that as well. However, I had a buyer buy an item, then ask me to cancel it bc she found something else on my closet. Argh... I was just about to say no, and hit the cancel instead. She ended up buying the bundle and just gave me a scare saying she didn't receive one of the 2 items! She went ahead and gave me a 5-star rating and nice love note, but never said if she found the other item. Don't know how on Earth she could've missed it since it was a heavy item albeit smaller than the other item. I'm happy for you that your new US closet is ramping up! 💚Keep on keepin' on!💚
I’m going to chat about my whole is closet soon. Just want to figure everything out❤️ I’m tempted to just push the cancellations to posh and let posh decide. I’m over them🤣
We have a lot of official brand poshmark pages, that might be why some brands that sell for you in the Canadian might not do well on the US Side some examples I have noticed, Levi’s, douney & Bourke, free people lucky brand, dose of colors to name a few
Levi's actually sells excellent for me on the US side. I have been retail arbitraging NWT levi's premium jeans and shorts for basically thrift store prices, so that may be part of it, but Levi's is my best selling brand on Posh this year. I agree on FP, I've never been able to sell anything by them other than jackets.
Another great video! Thanks for your insights and explanations. I only sell out of my own closet, but it really is amazing how much I have learned from watching you and I believe my sales are positively impacted by your information. Now, a question, I had a random negative comment on an item in my closet. It was out of the blue and I immediately blocked the user and flagged it so Posh will hopefully remove it. However, it sits with me mentally. How do you deal with the negative stuff? Yuck! LOL! Thanks again!
Hahaha oh man. Sometimes they get to me, sometimes I slough them off. I believe in energy, and I try to not absorb ppls negative energy if that makes sense. It is tough, 100%. I’m a work in progress letting things go❤️
I sell great on Posh and eBay. eBay does great with really unusual items. It ebbs and flows though. One week I’ll have a lot of a Posh sales and eBay is slow. The next week it’s opposite. I keep saying that I’m going to go down to one platform but with this result, it’s hard to pick.
Hi Tabs! Congrats on great sales and success with your US Posh closet😊 I’m going to hold off on opening a US closet until I find a crossborder shipper closeby that doesn’t rob me lol, Purolator and UPS are crazy $$ As far as cancelled sales, srsly they just don’t care who pays for what, it’s super uncool when they ask to cancel.
If you have access to ups in your area, stallion has a fantastic rate with them. I shipped a pair of cowboy boots and a men’s lulu bundle today. Almost 2kg and cost me $15. I know it’s additional, but I find many of my sales in the us, I don’t give shipping discounts. They send a reasonable offer I accept.
Oh the Posh live show cancellations… I feel your frustration! While I don’t do Posh Live shows myself, I was watching one last week (Posh Canada) and no word of a lie, a Posh employee who was actively participating during the show and helping the lovely seller bid on an item by accident as she was wishing everyone in the show a good night + saying her goodbyes and won the bid!!! This was getting tons of bids from others and she made the highest bid and won, all by mistake. She freaked out and another Posh employee who happened to be watching as well had to help them figure it out and cancel the sale, help the seller create a new post… If even Posh employees are bidding by mistake, surely Poshmark has to see this is still a giant poop show. 😑
I have sold at least 20 FIG sets in the last couple of months my sister is an RN and she has over 100 she was getting new ones and getting rid of the older ones, I was shocked when you sold the pants alone for 45 dollars that’s how much I get for the set, I guess it is over saturated here in the states lucky for me I get them for free🤷🏻♀️ and as for rail I picked a beautiful plaid one at goodwill bins because i saw how much you sold yours for listed for 38 brought It down to 25 nothing I gave it to my sister another brand that’s over saturated here 5 years ago I resold rails for 50-60 dollars crazy
Sometimes I think theres a difference in Can vs US market... but then I sellsomething for good dollar in my US closet. I guess we'll see in more time how my items do in teh US
Hey! How long does it take for Posh to approve a request to become a Posh show host? I think I applied last month but has not been approved yet. Thanks you! :)
Hello my Thrifty Virgo sister, yes the posh show cancellations would frustrate me. Especially once mailed. They should stick to the "sale is final" policy.
@@TabsMcCaffreygood to know to use my US debit card/account if I set one up. Sold some Ticketmaster tickets last year and they’ll only send funds to a US bank account for US shows so double useful 😂
Of course....you make sales because you have the items people want! I would say faster than most resellers starting out in their US Posh closets because of your experience. You have the keywords, the descriptions and the pictures right. You have invested time, money and energy into automating tools and a VA. Those are things that are huge investments for a reseller. I'm interested to find out if you sell your Eddie Bauer and similar brands in the US closet for the same amount as in the Canada Posh closet. I find it nonstop here in Colorado and I have tried it out (after watching you for over a year), but it sits for me and doesn't sell enough for my profit model. I have tried the chunky sweaters and the jackets in larger sizes. I didn't find it to do well. I think all the ones I sold were on eBay, but not on Posh. But hey, if you'd like to visit Colorado and go shopping....let me know! And cancellations, I say "No, but feel free to rePosh using my photos and description." I think that is fair.
I agree I have tools to share. I use sidekick, anyone can get that. And my va does my listings now. Pretty basic. But what I’m getting at is when ppl are not adjusting their business to make sales. I hear so many times all the reasons I make sales, and I think it boils down to sell what ppl want. If you’re not making sales. Look at what your selling. You do g have what ppl want.
So the shadow ban was because of the Canandian connected bank account, not because of using a bot, right? Thanks again for all your videos! Love to listen to your thoughts and tips!
Omg tabs I caught some of your show last night just as I was getting to work . Love this channel

Would love to get more info on how you are working out the cross border shipping issue because I think in the past you mentioned not having one in your city. My nearest cross border shipper is an hour and a half away so not really feasible for me but I'm trying to think of ways to get around this lol.
Coming soon! Still have a few kinks to work out.
@@TabsMcCaffrey Awesome! Looking forward to that video whenever you're ready to share. Thank you! 💛
Marie Gray is the name of the St. John designer. Gray wasn’t the color. Great sales!
OMG hahaha
I'm a nurse and I have to say I agree with you on the Figs. I bought a few of their pants and never wore them (I should probably sell them). The pockets on their items are never very big and I have multiple phones, scanners, flushes, bags of meds with med cups etc to keep in my pockets. I think people just get them to be trendy. I see some people wearing them at my hospital but a lot more people wearing Wonderwink (that's what mine are). Carhartt also makes excellent scrubs, I have a few tops that I wear and some of their scrubs can resell well (definitely check comps though)
Oooo I’ll have to check that one out! Thanks❤️
Defiantly true about selling larger sizes in the US. Pretty much anything under a 6 is considered tiny and will sit forever unless it's an awesome item and you under price it!
Good to know!
I always wait at least 36 hours before shipping anything.
Oh wow! Doesn’t that drop your ship time?
@@TabsMcCaffrey depends on buyer. If they're unknown new accounts, I'll wait till next day. Resellers IMO typically don't do this though I'm sure it happens. I've only noticed it with new accounts
Any one can help me I have a customer from Canada want to purchase watch from my closet but she said she can’t purchase because Poshmark doesn’t allow her to .do I have change anything in my account
No she would have to have a us address and cross border courier
Will you be putting out a video on how you work with your VA? I’d be really interested in hearing how you set things up - for example, do you give them access to your Poshmark account to draft the listings or is it done though another app?
I will soon.
Hello, I am new here. I love what you do! watched a few of your videos- Can you direct me into the right direction to set up the American account i am having some issues. I don't think i am doing it correctly.
Thanks so much
I have a video on it. ua-cam.com/video/wFGSf-7OH4Q/v-deo.htmlsi=dZNfuhDyRJJIGxFf
I’m over them🤣
Can US sellers sell in Canada?
Kuhl mens does great in the US
We have a lot of official brand poshmark pages, that might be why some brands that sell for you in the Canadian might not do well on the US Side some examples I have noticed, Levi’s, douney & Bourke, free people lucky brand, dose of colors to name a few
Interesting! Thanks my friends❤️
Ya I really have to get crosslisting again🤣 thanks for the insight 😘
How are you selling on the US poshmark? did you mention it in another video?
Cross boarder courier. Video coming soon.
Hi there so we can we sell to Canada now with Poshmark? If so how the shipping works? Thanks you love you videos
You need to have a crossboarder courier. Posh isnt shipping across the barder, I have a way of getting my packages to the US
How are you able to sell to the us? Can we in the US sell to canada? How do we do it
I’m using stallion. You can call them to sort it out
Oh the Posh live show cancellations… I feel your frustration! 😑
Omggggggg that’s crazy!!! Suck it up girlie and buy the dang item
Hello
I don’t have any sales. I don’t have a lot in my closet.
You can still make sales with not many items. Do more reserach into solds.
I guess we'll see in more time how my items do in teh US
Are you on the promoted closet beta? If yes, how is it going? I am still on waitlist
Not on posh😭
Hey! How long does it take for Posh to approve a request to become a Posh show host? I think I applied last month but has not been approved yet. Thanks you! :)
Not sure, I still don't have access.
Hello my Thrifty Virgo sister, yes the posh show cancellations would frustrate me. Especially once mailed. They should stick to the "sale is final" policy.
Hey Virgo sista!! 🫶🏼
Why did they shut down your US closet?
My payment method was connected to my Canadian closet. Flagged it and they shadow banned for suspicious activity 🫣
@@TabsMcCaffreygood to know to use my US debit card/account if I set one up. Sold some Ticketmaster tickets last year and they’ll only send funds to a US bank account for US shows so double useful 😂
@@starrwinter totally🤣
I had one cancel request on a silent show. I had already shipped. She wanted me to tell Posh to return it. I refused and she gave me 3 stars. 😂 Block!
Good lord. When you go to a live auction. All bids are binding.
I’m curious as well how my outdoor brands do?? But also prepared to adjust what I’m buying for each marketplace. We shall see🤣🤣
So the shadow ban was because of the Canandian connected bank account, not because of using a bot, right? Thanks again for all your videos! Love to listen to your thoughts and tips!
Yes. My payment was connected to two accts
