We have a farm supply place called bomgars out here, I found out their private label batteries are made by interstate. So you know what I’m running. 💪. Always good to be thrifty
I have a 2017 Duramax Silverado 2500 HD, ever since I changed my fuel filter about three or four weeks ago I have been getting a water in fuel service message every time I start the truck up. I did put fuel in a clear plastic bottle to see if anything settled at the bottom and I did not see anything, do you know if all diesel trucks come with a fuel water separator?
@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL actually its ok fuel what my issue was ,was glow plug harness passenger side came unplugged under valve cover ,i seen the quarter trick but do you know and other tricks ,i dont trust my truck any more until i can secure that connection better somehow
my fuel is bio blend around here northern MN at first I thought it was water in fuel so I dumped a hole bottle of 911 water delete and a bottle of hot shot ,once I connected that harness back up it fired right up ,I had put a new hpop in and lines and cam sensor runs great now power again the old hpop was tired
Umm that only works if you have no biodiesel mixed in with the real stuff. For the rest of us out here in farmer vote buying land fuel and water mix just fine....just like a vodka and water or your fav mixed drink. Bio fuel is hygroscopic. That means it absorbs water even from the air. So it's not a matter of if you have water in your fuel it's how much. Don't get me started about how it's a net loss of energy or creates more pollution than burning real diesel. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not in there if you live where it gets cold you have to add stuff or your fuel will freeze (not gel we are talking ice crystals). It's a nightmare. Sweet truck man.
12/3/2020 If there was water in fuel, it would settle to the bottom immediately. Try this: put a half cup of water into the fuel and see how fast it settles to the bottom. You don’t have to shake up anything. And if you really want to check the fuel, take a sample from where you bought the fuel, not from your truck, you knucklehead.
Should've mixed water in and done the test again to prove your theory.
Should have put a bit of water in to demonstrate maybe
Nice, video. I’m a retired shop teacher. I think you missed your calling. You would be a great auto shop teacher. Good work.
