This is awesome! I have no background in gold mining or smelting - but have become addicted to your videos. Super informative and laid back with a scientific approach to everything
Nice video, Jason. Well explained! The chemical process of driving a chemical reaction to completion is literally called "using excess reagent." The limiting reagent is the sulfides in the melt, so adding iron (nails) to the melt soaks up all (almost all) of the sulfur converting it to iron Sulfide. The fact that some of the nails still exist at the end of the pour is proof you have achieved iron as "the excess reagent." Good job! Oh...and I guessed 150g. That is a really nice payday! Proof that there is still plenty of "Gold in them thar hills!" And I did the math: it looks like your high-grade is about 31.5 g/metric ton. So just a smidge under 1 troy ounce per metric ton of ore. Not bad!
@@SephBane once you account for the costs associated with the mining, refinement and time... X amount of people mult by hours, plus tools, equipment and materials... the amount he got was about $10,500. if he had 2 people working 3 months... he may have actually lost money.

I got some of your ore for Christmas and I can't wait to see what it produces! Thank You so much for offering it up on ebay.

Happy New year Jason. Thanks.
Great video Jason. Start sooting your cone mold with a torch. Makes it much easier to remove the gold and slag.

Congratulations on the ending of a nice season! No injuries and a nice chunk of shiny to boot! Happpy New Year!
Nice work guys! That's hard rock mining at its best.come on season 3!!!
My eyes fell out of their sockets, Jason!!!! 🧐😱 That is an extraordinary gold button, which must be 22 to 24k purity!! I guessed 5 oz, but it was way over as usual... It's very hard for me to base a guess on a video-recording. Yet, your mine is producing a huge amount of gold per ton, which is all that you can wish for. Thanks for sharing and thanks to Harry for helping you. I'm sending warmer weather and blessings from Alabama ❤️
Fantastic end to the season. Thanks Jason.
Awesome! Congratulations Jason, that's badass!🙌
Well done Jason and team, absolutely enjoy watching your videos, regards from Australia 🇦🇺
