She is so fucking cool it hurts.
she's even cooler at Lollapalooza 2016 - performance of giant peach is awesome there!
They just keep getting better and better.
yo Richard. fuck you.
Joff is actually insane, some of the sounds he makes dont even sound like they come from a guitar.
Quite Sonic Youth inspired to me, which means that man has some tastes :D
Joff is the king
I can make my guitar sounds like synth
It's all in the pedals not the guitar
@@staystrongjoseph always that one smart as
@@ItsElit3Gunner and always that person who's easily triggered.
I'm just letting him know, no need to be a di**
i just broke down crying for some reason when she sang bros in this one. i love that song so much
Wolf Alice is a breath of fresh air in an era of underwhelming "alternative" groups
they re jus another one like the others honestly
The lead guitarist is great, high energy, innovative playing with influences of Tom Morello
I'm so in love with their sound
Cute? Cool? She's bloody gorgeous! (Swoon...Swoon...Swoon...)
the French engineers are used to mixing vocals upfront, which is the main feature of French pop music, partly because of the (too great ?) importance of song lyrics in this country. It sure suits Ellie's voice.
i love them so much!!! obsessed since i discovered them in the end of last year
this is my favorite live video of them so far
Concerts don't get much better than this. Amazing setlist and great sound engineering as well as mixing
I love this band, the guitars reminds me Smashing Pumpkins...
+haikuelepete Totally.
haikuelepete and sonic youth
Damn, Wolf Alice really are becoming my favourite band fast
they're remastering their songs so hard in ths live that all them sound like big hits, one of the best bands for me
This is one of my favorite performances
It's like 1994 all over again in a good way😀
+Brian Stephens for me its more 1970,1977, 1984 and 2002 !
+Brian Stephens dude this is todays sound.. you would think the 90s would come back in music form too as it's fashion wise.
i love them !!!! i wish i could see them live someday.
wow, they're great. Great Guitars, what a voice, she can sing glam, punk, indie. Good songs. And if that wasn't enough, she's cute and hot.
Buy the LP is worthy
+Jacobo Zea ultraworthy
+Jacobo Zea ultra QT pie...cant wait see them in a months time
oh really so where is the punk song?
listen to wolf alice Yuk Foo....kinda does
+g man tramp mimimi
Crazy good and like you guys say, just getting bigger and better.
Cool as my love for them may be, it sure does make my stomach hurt with its intensity. And yes, Ellie is fucking gorgeous, beautiful, cool, lovely, cute, adorable, precious, and more.
Whomever did the sound engineering and the final production on this did a really good job! And, of course, WA was in fine form.
+C3Cooper one performance for the historical record
No $hit! I Mean, I hear this, and compare it to the so called "mixing" in the U.S.A. videos and it's almost immediately apparent that the "sound engineers" in the U.S.A. are severely lacking in their craft! the vocals here are at the optimal level compared with the rest of the band and 'somehow' EVERY vid from them in the states has the vocals WAY TOO LOW....how does that happen?! it's apparent, live mixing engineers in the states, are severely lacking in talent and quality. At this point they really need to step their game up.
Its clear and not heavily compressed but they have definitely rolled off the top end, the sparkle and sheen is gone.
Canal+ has a long history of great recorded live performance (search them on UA-cam; from Nirvana, Oasis, to Klaxons or Block Party); search "Best of Lives de Nulle Part Ailleurs"
@@aikighost I'd look at the codec(s) before assuming it was always that way.
UPDATE: there is a brickwall at 16kHz, which is too high for me. What's more noticeable is the lack of sustained HF eg off the overheads, which points to a dead room. I guess that's fairly normal for a TV studio. There's decent reverb on the vox but nothing on the kit.
I could watch this forever.
I always felt like the 90's hadn't spent itself. This is new music for sure but hits on some of the best themes from that decade. The lead lady is cool and all but the rest of the band kicks ass too. The cameras could give them some more credit, all four of them are real musicians. I like how unpretentious they seem to be.
I agree with everything you just said. I'm a child of the 60's & 70's. This is the best live band I've heard since Nirvana, and the Foo Fighters. They actually write songs and are musicians. There is hope...
Jed A : I agree when I discovered this band I said wow these kids from London are incredibly talented they understand the concepts of music ! these kids are gifted just incredible live performance and a joy to watch I saved everything I’ve ever seen on these kids💝💝💝
And 90s pop rock was a continuation of 60s pop rock. No bad thing. I like that Wolf Alice marry heavy rock with ethereal textures from prog.
Awesome performance
This is better recorded than the album.
wonderful
so good,so beautiful
this is my new comfort video
Unbelievably great.
They...they're fuckin' awesome!
I Just Love them!!!
This is really damn good, I'll have to buy the lp right away.
they have it all
at their fingertips
Une jolie louve qui envoie du lourd, very good super groupe !
fantastic
0:04 their bassist is the coolest person alive
jeez, thats pretty mean
just love this band happy they come to munich
I forgot, add "so sweet" to my list of Ellieisms. :P
Wolf Alice is amazing. They're playing a concert to raise money for Syrian refugees!
Gotta see them live.
Es una crack , y buena banda acompañandole .
I fancy her.
Go Wolfie go !
Guitar sound is different, but so many young Tanya Donelly (Throwing Muses, Belly) vibes from her. Flashbacks.
Can't wait for their third album.
And two years later they sure delivered
LP is on the way, expected!
Ellie and the band just gets better and better at song writing
jadore 😘
A song that hits a nerve, just like U2 does. Thanks
Excellent band
Nothing really new in "rock and roll" nowadays. But I love "new wave" the energy of this band who remind me of early Duke Spirit and a cross between Hole and Penetration.
one thing the French now how to do is record a bands performance
to perfection for history!
this band brings the 90's rock back. its refreshing to see good music in this wasteland of music with no lyrical meaning and filth.
There's loads of good music out here - you just have to look for it.
this band is just a ok sonic youth knock off.
dead sara, the kills, slim mill aka ashly, just keep an open ear and mind.
Her Eyes are Killer :-).
God I love them
Acca Larentia !!!!! (search !)
La louve du Capitol...
la classe
Good band
this band will be sonic youth next generation but this is more freshhh
so short so good... wait better if looooooooooong
Oh fuck, back in Paris on the 13th of November? I really hope they're safe.
wolf alice is very nice music band !! i should meet them !!
wolf alice is heel aardige muziekband !! ik zou hen willen ontmoeten !!
Sonzeira!!!!!
wow, awesome performance! Great job on the live mixing....Unfortunately every live performance I've seen of them in the U.S.A. has huge issues in mixing the vocals, Come on U.S.A. sound engineers! WTF?! this live sound mix puts you to shame! Everything, Drums, guitar, bass, and especially VOCALS are all at perfect levels! Best performance I've seen by them thus far....meaning France has better sound technicians than in the States!...Learn your Craft or make way for people who Know WTF they are doing, Can take a note of what live FRENCH sound technicians did here! Get your $hit together American Sound Technicians as you're embarrassing your selves....repeatedly... (MTV,KEXP, Lollapalooza, ETC.) Awesome music AND LIVE MIX from an amazing band (sorry America has #ucked up your sound mixes thus far, but we love your music!)
Effervescent, edgy, accomplished and unpredictable.
these kids are alright.
these guys need to do a trippy collab with raury or big krit or something
Smashing pumpkins, The Breeders, Betty serveert, Sonic Youth great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
RAD!!!!!!!!!!!
Strong Sonic Youth energy
opening track reminds me of stereolab
what model is ellie guitar? so good
Kala Iriarte it's a telecaster
the best band out of England in 100 years easy
They're awesome... why the name of the band is Wolf Alice??
Named after a character in a short story by Angela Carter
Thanks! Going to look for it ;)
Ellie Rowsell is kinda the most beautiful woman on the planet
For some reason, Ellie has me thinking she looks a bit like a blond haired hazel eyed version of Susanna Hoffs. Damn, now I'm dating myself.
god! feels like it's a reincarnation of cobain. great musicians
Quem fala que isso é "bom" não entende porra nenhuma de musica! FATO
How good is this? wtf! 👀🍊🍆
What’s the name of the guitarist with blonde hair not the bald one
Theo Ellis
Theo Ellis
Stéphane Mufti is he single
@@Emmabub97 LoL I don't know...
I'll be honest this is too... idk what the right term would be...meandering(?) / airy... for me. I can imagine it being good backing music in a film soundtrack.
They are a decent live band for show tho (y)
I just personally prefer music with wee bit more intensity and aggressiveness.
Nice to see more girls in rock appearing though :)
Emm Rouse What?
Emm Rouse How could you possibly have that opinion of the first two songs
are you hearing the same thing as everyone else?????lol
audio fucked up
I want to kiss her.
Que barulheira da porra... Muito ruim
Μία φωνή όλο δροσιά και όλοι τους λιτοί ,ακριβείς, κεφάτοι...
his dance is so akward, sorry
So, how's the music? You know...they make music.
it sucks they have to deal with the whole commentary of them being 'too 90's. maybe they should throw in a synth-player and a fucking trombonist or something to vary the sound a bit. & those striped shirts have to go. too synonymous with kurt cobain and thom yorke from that period.
wonderful
