The same thing happened with my rescue. We found a stray dog and took him in. Just when the dog was getting settled down, drinking water and eating, we rec'd a call from a man who said, "I heard that you have my dog." We're a little wary of people who step up and say, "That's my dog" - especially when it comes to purebreds, and we had a purebred dog. We were prepared to screen the man before we let him take the dog, but when the dog heard his man talking, he went ballistic. He started dancing all over and doing backflips. His back end wouldn't stop wiggling. We knew then that the man was the owner. The little dog was smiling. It's one of the best parts of our duties as rescuers - reuniting people with their lost pets.
In 1966, when I was 6 years old, my little Boston puppy was killed by a car. My new stepfather found her and brought her in the house. He was sobbing. This open, honest display of his true feelings sealed the man in my heart forever. HIs marriage with my Mom was over quickly and I never saw him again. But I found his family on Facebook. His step-daughter helped us to connect by phone and I told him the story I just shared with you. I thanked him for being such a wonderful man who had a life-long, positive influence on me. We cried together and laughed together over the phone several times before he passed away at age 83. ❤
There is no denying a strong emotional attachment between people and the animals they take the time to bond with. I have pugs. They each have their own personalities. @@em-ilyy Yes, I have studied god's "word" and that's what he SAID in Leviticus 1:9. "The WORD of the Lord will STAND FOREVER!" That's what it SAYS in Isaiah 40:8. I like how some Christians try to distance themselves from the Old Testament. They know how bad the Old Testament is. But you can't dismiss it like that. It's the MAJORITY of the Bible. You can't have a New Testament without the Old Testament. Did you do away with the rites of the TEN COMMANDMENTS since you're in the New Testament now? That's in the Old Testament. Did the churches get rid of tithing? That's in the Old Testament. Did the New Testament do away with telling a woman to be SILENT in church and not to exercise authority over a man? That's in the New Testament, 1Timothy 2:12. Did the New Testament do away with slavery? "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, just as you would to CHRIST." - Ephesians 6:5. Ephesians is New Testament. How am I deceiving? Your BIBLE has DECEIVED millions! Not me. And WHY would you think this god that would sacrifice his own son to be slaughtered is somehow good? He's "omnipotent." Couldn't this omnipotent god character come up with a BETTER PLAN?
I will always think the connection that a dog and human can have is one of the most beautiful things ever... there’s nothing more pure to me than this.
The possibility of this happening has made me leave my dog home hundreds of times . The worst part is not knowing if they’ve been harmed . It’s truly a miracle that he’s been reunited with his baby . God bless everyone who made that happen .
I am so happy his doggy is safe and that they are reunited again. I hope we get to find out who stole his dog, they should be charged for robbery a sued for emotional distress.
This is so sweet, I'm so happy he got him back. So many stolen pets are never returned to their families, it's so sad. Never leave your dog in the car, especially with the car unlocked, or leave your dog unattended. People WILL take your pup, especially pure bred or unusual breeds. It's so horrible that we even have to be mindful of it, but it's a real thing. Also is why I carry a gun while walking my dog! I'm a small, 5'0 woman and he's a ginger and cream Chow mix and I have been offered money while walking him, people have also come up to me and asked where they can buy one like him. Pet theft is very big where I am from and it terrifies me.

Yes, thank you Lord! That's why every morning I sacrifice a couple of unblemished lambs on my backyard altar as an atonement for my sins. A burnt offering of animals is an aroma most PLEASING to the Lord as per Leviticus 1:9. Praise the Lord!
@@Danny451 I never understood people who mock other people. Grow up before you have kids so they know what adulthood looks like.
@@611mellissa That's what it SAYS in Leviticus 1:9. Praise the Lord! The Bible says it, I believe it, and that's that.
Im so glad he got him back. This makes so happy!! ❤️
Glad friends reunited 👍🏻
So glad he was recovered so quickly! Well done, officers!
Great story.
I’m so happy 😃 for him. So heartwarming to get your child back. 🙏🏻😍
Beautiful reunion.
I will always think the connection that a dog and human can have is one of the most beautiful things ever... there’s nothing more pure to me than this.
Wonderful news!
So HAPPY you got your beloved pet back. But please please get him a carrier seat to protect him . He can still ride beside you, but be more secure. ❤️
nina kerstetter, thank you for your intelligent comment!
If someone loves their pet, shouldn't they keep him/her safe???
Beautiful story...
So happy you were able to get your baby back. So many stolen and never to be found. You were one of the LUCKY ones.
I’m so happy for him
The possibility of this happening has made me leave my dog home hundreds of times . The worst part is not knowing if they’ve been harmed . It’s truly a miracle that he’s been reunited with his baby . God bless everyone who made that happen .
So glad Yogi came home safe!! When his old man started crying once they were reunited… man that’s such a loving dog dad 😭😭❤️
I’m struggling to hold back tears 😭 such a sweet pair. I’m so glad he got Yogi back and that the dog was unharmed.
I had a dog stolen once so I understand how emotionally upsetting this was for him
This gentleman seems like a lovely man! What a wonderful reunion!
This melts my heart, and I’m so happy for the both of them.
Lovely story and I'm crying too - but please don't drive with him in your lap
So glad he was found!
So glad he got his pup back. I would die if anyone were to take my dog. She means everything to me.
Those assholes. You have no idea how much this hurts people.
My thoughts exactly. Who does this kind of thing?? People can't serm to freaking behave in a civil manner anymore.
Stealing someone’s dog on Christmas Day how low can you be
