Shout out to Brandon. He is invaluable, which you’ve both expressed in many ways before, but I wanted to chime in today🦋
I agree Bradon is the man !
@@cherlgolja5402 YUP WE LOVE BRANDON!
Brandon is THE man!
We sure do. He is amazing
Yes, he not only is a great friend but also a great worker!
Trent and Allie, consistently posting every Monday and Friday, awesome ! Trent’s Garage every Sunday! Allie , you must be on the computer editing all night.
I gave a similar kudos to this in my much to long post!
Allie, you cracked me up when you unloaded some of the insulation standing in the bed of the truck. You turned around and gave the muscleman pose! Nice job all!
You make my Mondays and Fridays awesome!!!
Watching Trent, Brandon and Allie work together is like watching a ballet. It's a beautiful thing.
I loved how you guys banged out that insulation so quickly! I've learned so much from your videos. And, I always enjoy Allie's picks for music which really seems to fit the activities on the video. Great job, Allie! Love you guys!
We are in the early process of having our container home built, I'm gonna strongly suggest this type of installation. Love watching you build your home. It is a BIG HELP.
YEAHHHHHH 🎉🎉🎉I haven’t heard Trent say his catch phrase in a really long time. It feels like since you were living in Terry since we heard those awesome words:
Could be better. Could be worse. But I’m happy with it!
Have you considered putting shutters on the back windows of the house to protect the windows from the snow?
Yes! OR, how 'bout a lean-to gizmo that starts at the roofline and goes to the ground, that way light can still come in! I'll bet Trent could come up with something!
My sister screws plywood on her windows, every winter, since 1990. She lives in Lake Tahoe. She has a metal roof, and the snow slides off into piles like this, also.
Hurricane shutters! 😂
Could he clear more land around the house…so that he has some place to blow the snow to? I’m not making sense…however…he has all this heavy equipment, why not use it! Besides, he needs to make the home bigger than the garage/little home above. All three have put so much work…especially the guys- but Allie has been following them and then she has to edit. Believe me, that does a number on your patience and eyes!
Such hard workers here and I am just so impressed. This is what America is all about. Hard work, long hours, unity, not complaining…just doing what you have to do until you have achieved what you have been striving for…and then raise your goals for the next goal to obtain. The neighbors help one another…you can see that everywhere. It is a breath of fresh air.
Lastly, Trent knows SO MUCH about assembling a truck…JMJ- I can’t believe it! That is his arena, obviously. I am so glad that he has put up another blog showing the revival of that wrecked old truck! Seriously, I couldn’t believe that he even spent a dime on it! Then again, I didn’t know how talented/ knowledgeable he was in rebuilding trucks! This should be really cool to see…watch. 🤓
I have thought this same thing since the snow has been piling up.
Even Shutters that can be taken off in the summer and put on when the snow starts getting deep in the winter.
I know you guys appreciate Brandon but I’ve read a couple things about how great he is and it’s true but remember how wonderful his companionship is. The older you get the harder it is to get together. Seeing a friend as much as you guys get to is amazing. I miss my real friends. We all have families and careers and everything that gets in the way. Lol
Fantastic way to launch a good week 🌝 Trent&Allie gliding over any rough edges in wonderland with Joy !!
Little by little .... piece by piece ... Love the music on this one.... So appropriate for the situations. I really have been enjoying how the music enhances the video. Good stuff!!!
Always look forward to your music selection!! Thank you!!!
Good Morning 🌞🌬🌬
Hi, Leo 🙋♀️💞
Thanks for the clip of Leo playing, his not a baby anymore.
I agree with Alli, give an extra day or two when scheduling the re-inspection; but don’t tell Trent … just do it 😊
I love watching your progress on your place.. I've watched you guys since you were in a van in South America I bought a lil over an acre of land and by myself Im putting up a doublewide mobile home, not even as hard as what your doing yet still challenging for me. Not as simple as it sounds. My neighbors are cheering me on they know how difficult it is to get anything built in San Bernardino county, even a manufactured home.
I look so forward to coming home, after work, to a new video. I get dinner; sit to relax; enjoy me meal while watching Trent & Allie!🙂
The best part or silver lining is that by making virtually every mistake possible and several dozen more than once while building your own home is that you are giving yourself a education of epic proportions while financing it through your UA-cam channel. You are brilliant for doing that. The fact that you are willing to do the work several times repeated is a testament that you arent lazy and doesnt warrant paying someone else once when you can pay yourself several times. I think you are both very hard working and driven as is a testament to your success in all the other parts of your life. Keep working hard and be safe Trent and Allie. I always like watching your adventures. Peace!
Trent making coffee for Allie every morning for the past 6 years. Yes, that is LOVE....❤
Not that difficult when he is probably making a pot for himself anyhow.
@@scotthansen1287 Have you watched? No- he makes a latte for her with art in the foam. It’s an art for him. From a former barista.
My step dad did this for my mom for 30 years, we just lost my mom and now he pulls a cup out for her every morning as a way of remembering her. It’s such an act of love
Oh goodness, things are so great in that part of the garage, I really like that kind of insulation and Brandon is so helpful and that is wonderful. It was mentioned to put shutters on those back windows, I feel like that could keep them safe from the snow when it piles so high. I really like seeing all that is being done to the cassita, and I am happy that your 4 way inspection was at least as good as it was and I know you're going to get things completed correctly and then have another inspection that will get approved. Leo is just so cute walking around so great and really enjoying playing outside. Thanks once again for another great video that I always enjoy watching, and I wish you all a blessed week ahead and will look forward to your next video, sending love and hugs, audios. 🤗😎👏🙌💪💜💜💜💜
Leo is such a cute little man he loves his toys a busy little boy. You must be so proud. 🇦🇺❤️👍🦋🦋
I really like the rockwool, it's so much easier to work with.
I was thinking maybe the Moose was stuck. Great insulation guys.
the best insulation keeps me warm here in Montreal. My duplex has been completely renovated with the Rockwell insulation. Reduced the energy comsumption by 40 percent. The sound reduction is also an additional benefit. Finally caught up to Trents Garage.
My heart was going crazy watching you get out of that stuck situation, great job!!
I love the suspenseful music when Trent is stuck in the snow.
Looking at all the snow round the back of the garage are you sure that having exterior steps to the appartment is the way to go. You will have a lot more snow clearing to do each time it snows.
Good point
Honestly, though, that area between the buildings probably should get cleared in future years. They had no way of knowing it would snow enough to fill up so drastically until it was too far gone for the snowblowers, but in future winters, it’s probably wise to get ahead of it-for the staircase access, it also to protect the sunroom windows and the propane tank (it is NOT wise to let that tank be buried like it is-the weight of the compressed snow could compromise the structural integrity.
Be sure to have your exhaust fan pipe at a light incline to avoid water pooling in the pipe.
.25" per foot
Always love to see someone post a comment who actually knows what they’re talking about!
I love the way Allie looks at Trent in they end of the video, you can see the love in her eyes. So beautiful. Thanks for sharing and as always stay safe and God bless love ya Nancy
We had one wall that was insulated with corn cobs back in the day.
Look at you Trent, working in a T-Shirt! lol, Insulation is a wonderful thing! Good job!
Satisfying to watch the insulation go up!
The user bread nice on the rockwool deep cuts better and a lot less particles
thank you for the blessings of you sharing your experiences... I am back after being gone for a while... I pray for you and thank you.
Wish I had your abilities to build and be patient...
Thanks, Dan
Thank God you have Brandon to help!! This is long, tedious process!
Wow, can't believe you guys have so much snow still. Alaska has 9 months of winter but didn't know Utah did lol. Garage is looking great, you guys.
You three are a good team together. You work very well with one another. Allie your wishing for spring hun. Hopefully it be there soon. Its been in the 70s and couple of days we have hit 80s but most days in high 60s here in Virginia.. hope it warms up there soon.
I always enjoy coming along , we never know what's going to happen. But you what , you guys always pull through it. I know that you appreciate your and our friend Brandon.
I can wait to see Mr. Leo getting a little older and running around with his daddy. My son and I got into building VW Bugs . I wanted something he and I could do together. Now he's 51 and there isn't snatching he can't do with a Bug. And his son can do almost anything with cars and trucks. I love wood working that I got from my dad. And my middle grandson loves woodworking bytvalso can do mechanical work on vehicles. The oldest does HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING . Thanks for sharing
Suspenseful ..the ride home with the insulation and then getting stuck and unstuck. The music again, enhanced the viewing of that so much. I am just so impressed with the choices of music and how well they match with what is going on to really communicate more of the emotion and mood so well it does make such a difference...
You need to keep shingles in your truck. They work great for traction in the snow when you get stuck
Fun to see the progress! It sure looks and sounds like the Rockwall insulation is the way to go!
Trent is always so optimistic about getting it done and Allie is crossing her fingers, 😂
Have y'all thought about using 1/2" ply wood on part of the walls for the garage? My dad did that so he never really need to find a stud to hang stuff.
I like when Allie gets to participate in the build.
I heard you mention Sheetrock for the garage. Are you thinking 5/8” fire rock? Too bad plywood is still so expensive because as a wall covering it’s great! You can put a screw anywhere you like for brackets and shelving, etc. plus no mudding/taping! Just paint or stain, just a thought.
You've got yourself a winner there, Allie! If that isn't love, I don't know what is, either! Lucky you, both of you!
If I every build anything, I'll be using that insulation. It was probably quite a labor to get it punched in, but not having to mess with a lot of cutting and nailing saved so much time. Very nice, interesting video!
Yea, good job ! Sound in your garage is so much better.I love the way y’all get up & go no matter what the weather is doing.
One suggestion would be use a box fan and put some type of filter or cloth on inlet side that can catch all those small particles in the air Just put close to work area and it should filter the air. Great videos .Just be careful.
Your beautiful video musical interludes may only be a few seconds long, but they are so wonderful. I love them. Makes for a nice peaceful wake up with my coffee. Thank you.
Progress and Spring, a winning combination for sure.
Allie you are a good team player Trent and Brandon what a team. 🇦🇺❤️👍🦋
When do you insulate the ceiling? So much work -- Brandon is amazing.
I imagine that adding rockwool is still the same as doing fiberglass insulation, I see a number of big gaps... You'll want to fill those or you'll have cold spots. Also, I don't know if squishing it into each without really measuring and cutting to fit exactly is good. Just some thoughts since I insulated our 10x16 shed last year by myself. I wish now I'd used the rockwool but I thought it'd be messier. Next time!!
NM, just listening to you talking about filling spots. ☺Looks good!!! It's soooo amazing how much just insulation cuts the cold. No wonder some folks never get around to adding the wallboard, lol!! Our shed is also my greenhouse and my plants did really well this winter and I was able to keep it above 40 degrees (with two windows and a window in the door facing east) while it was 7 degrees outside. Usually it was 60 degrees.
Best wishes getting all the punch list things tackled!! ❣
It's Allie seeing spring in almost everything 😂 love from RSA 🇿🇦
So love to see Leo playing with his tiys and running around...so strong.
Looks like more roof work there. Maybe you could give them a helping hand !
Way to go!!!
I’m so happy that you all are content with all that snow and it’s there and you’re used to it because personally I like spring and summer I like them all but not snow all the time.🤣🤣🤣
But showing us that moose is so awesome thank you !!!!❤❤❤❤
So funny when Dean was talking, it sounded like a voice of a airplane cockpit.
We love delivery. 😃
You have snow we have storms and forecast says more storms will be moving through again tomorrow! UGH! Horrible tornados!
Love your suspense music, Allie!
Yeah nah, I'm from Queensland Australia, that amount of snow out my window is a 'hard pass' thanks. Gimme 33°C + 98% humidity for a sweaty 'real feel' autumn of 40° last week and a cold beer any day over that 🥶🥵
Always enjoyable. We love you❤
I use a electric knife to cut insulation. Great for cutting out electrical boxes. I clean it up and put it back in the kitchen drawer.
Just love you two!
I'm literally months behind with you guys, I've been so busy lately! Need to get some snacks and a cuppa and spend an evening catching up on your lives. Miss watching you guys 😅
Ally, you can freeze milk, no need to ever run out again.
great tunes
Allie, talking about getting plants to bring Spring on faster is a very nice idea! What do you think about getting chickens, now, with this winter? Where would you put the chickens? Under the deck?
lol it would smell so bad each time they open the front door
@@juliemichaud9439 I know! That was the only place I could think of.
Nice team wok!!!!
It's all coming together. Slowly but surely. Happy for you guys. I know how exciting it is to see your plans come together. We make building plans and we think that it would take us forever but surprise!!! It'll be up and done before you know it. Good job you guys.
And I love your winter wonderland!!😍 Enjoy that snow cuz before you know it it'll be gone. You guys gonna have a beautiful spring....
Thank you to Brandon for helping Trent and Allie!
could you perhaps line the floor upstairs with insulation? it could be piled back in the middle for next inspection and keep heat in the main garage.
Rock wool ! Just like it sounds.
Glad you insulated the garage. Now the heater isn't trying to heat the outside. :D Hope spring is near for you all. Still snow in my yard here in Maine, but not even close to what you guys still have.
Praying everything is good with Grandma and Grandpa and you guys just needed a day off.
I can already hear your propane tank thanking you! 😎
My wife just insulated the area she is remodeling in our master bath and bedroom with this insulation. She wore a full respirator and safety glasses and rubber gloves when she was installing it. It is much nicer to work with than fiberglass insulation.
Kudos to y'all, you work well together, almost there!
When Brandon gives you that "one-eyed' question, it is more of a suggestion in the form of a question. :)
Brandon: "That's more than half the insulation we need."
Trent: "That's only a third of the insulation we need."
I noticed that too- maybe Trent was including the upstairs, which they can’t insulate yet?
I hope you guys are ok. Miss you video.
Awesome video
My hubby left for work when I was waking up. He ALWAYS left a peeled orange out for me ‘cause he was worried I wouldn’t eat. I miss him!😢
Perhaps invent a heating coil system for roofs... I don’t know .... but when those ice sheets come off the roof.... oh dear!
Watching what they did to your neighbor’s she’d made me shudder at any thoughts... 😮
You guys are great!! Thank you for sharing! I love great attitudes!!!!
God bless your family!! ❤
The moose stole the show. How cool is that? Being right there. Wondering if you guys just took a nature walk around that mountain see what all lives there. Can’t believe you guys are almost there with the garage. 3/4 ppl knocking it out. I still love this old house, but they should look out. Trent, Brandon, Allie, & Dean are some serious heavy hitters.
I know Trent is not looking forward to drywall & mudding again. lol
And again with the music!! 24:54
Love you guys..
making progress 🎉
Buy the cheap little saw for that style insulation, its works much better than a utility knife.
Morning Allie, This is about your eye! I was watching Jenny Apple on you tube. Her and her husband had or have similar eye problems! I will try to send you the episode but I'm not very good at this!
You folks ..good
Great job !!!
My husband suggested that when you get to drywall you put 1/2" cdx plywood 4 ft high on the bottom of the walls and drywall above. This is the voice of experience so you don't poke holes in the drywall with a jack handle or something!
Hi guys 😊 are you going to do an internal staircase into the garage from upstairs in the loft? So in winter it's still accessible.
When I worked at Lows as a kid. I was a loader. 100% there where time's I would say a prayer for those. Who just loaded some sketchy stuff to make it home safe and the people on the road with them. I make my wife a cup of coffee 90% of the days. Even though I do not like it at all. The smell bugs me at times. But it makes a happy wife. A happy wife is a happy life. Hehe. Thanks for sharing yall rock. Glad that someone was there to help. God Bless..
Awesome 👌
You know it's sketchy when you get the one-eyed "another set of straps?" @7:59 😂
Pegboard the whole garage! You could hang up everything!!!! Got to get a pellet smoker! Once saw a moose walk over a 6 foot high fence in Fairbanks, AK!!
A electric carving knife works well in cutting rockwool.
That leaning tower of insulation cracked me up!
Oh boy. 😮 Brings back memories. In the late 70's during my high school years I had a summer job insulating. I would come home every afternoon and cough up big black balls of Rockwell insulation! To this day I "shiver" at the thought of insulating and insulation!😂
When the apartment is finished how do you plan to access it with that much snow in winter? The door is at the back of the garage with all the snow. Possibly install a trap door in the floor that goes directly into the garage. If pipes burst or you need quick access digging out the back stairs to the only door could be a problem.
