- The BMW 5 series has a long standing reputation of being the ultimate drivers sedan in its segment, and for India, the 530D has been an all time favourite, offering explosive performance combined with amazing fuel economy. Diesel as a fuel is losing sheen in India thanks to stricter emission norms, and increased costs and as a result, more manufacturers are aggressively pushing their petrol models, or discontinuing diesels altogether.
Audi no longer offers diesels in the A6 or any of their SUV models, and Mercedes has taken a completely different approach withe the E class, focusing more on the rear seat experience.
In this episode, we take a detailed look at the new 530d facelift, or LCI as BMW calls it, and see if it still is the Best driver's BMW around, this side of the M cars.

This I6 is definitely gonna be one of the best diesel engines ever, aarum vedichilillelum i urge to experience it for once!
Kudos to the designers of BMW.. Subtle changes they have incorporated in this 530d LCI (Facelift) is awesome in my opinion. Loved the front and the rear …especially the led treatment of the headlight and the tail lamp.
Overall the Vehicle is a classic sporty family car.😃😇

The only nitpicking I have is the joined grille + headlights. I still can't digest that. Otherwise, this looks as good as the brilliant compact BMW sedans of the 80s and 90s. The new M2 and M5 is definitely their last hurrah!
