VW group ditched diesels altogether. No way TDI is coming back. In EU, their electric offerings are a big hit. I wouldn't be surprised if they completely stopped caring about their gasolines too in the near future.
The current RS6 Avant is one of my favourite cars! It's a glorious machine! Coming back to Audi India, diesel gate and the withdrawal of oil burners did them in. That said, they can have a good second coming with EVs. And among the Germans, I guess they are leading the charge. Please excuse the pun! :)

Very interesting and informative discussion. I bought Audi A3 1.8 TSI five years back. Yes, it's the size of a Vento. But it is NOT a Vento! It's the perfect premium car for the city and an enjoyable car on the highway. I have not spent one rupee on the maintenance of the car, other than annual service. Zero issues as on date. It still drives like new and the cabin quality is still superb. It's sad that the manufacturer of such a car, like Ford, is on the verge of extinction 🥺
I wish audi management want to see this video. Because they dont need to spent extra money for market study 😅 just take this video as reference and introduce better service and market strategies.

The Audi A6 also had very some very interesting powertrain. 3.0TFSI (with a supercharged V6 petrol, state of tune lower than the S4) and 3.0TDI, both with quattro.
