I echo his comment. I am using this knowledge to learn how to pose myself and friends( not weddings)- rules apply. Thank you so much for not only providing knowledge but also being a good role model.
YES...YES...YESSSS!!! It was PERFECT being right there in the moment during this street shoot. Step by step and being instructed on each stage. Thanks to ALL of you for this. Invaluable!! Please post more like this.
Love seeing your process and hearing detailed explanations . Excellent. Wish i could be on the photo walk.😊 Thanks again for great instructional content 💕
Just found you last week and have watched several incredibly well defined and easy to follow tutorials. Bravo as an instructor , presenter and photographer.
Very good information Vanessa. As a Male photographer I personally find it difficult to pose for bridal portraits. Its all good knowing how to do it but hard to put it into practice. Them small tips about breaking up feet, hips, shoulder and eyes direction!! Wicked!
Hello Vanessa, could you help me with what kind of light pole is that? I have been looking for one for the longest time but the vast majority are just too flimsy for my taste
I finally have an answer for you about my camera strap! creative-teacher-9768.ck.page/1fb5eeedd8 this will be VERY limited so lmk here if you want to know when it's available!
Once again you nailed it, I love the pose of both brides I am going to try this on sisters its perfect. The back light Sun effect is also very effective in the bland white light environment. People should get your Book "The Off - Camera Flash Handbook" these videos help put all together. Thanks a Bunch :)
Hi Vanessa, you started at 5300 wb temp and went to 4500 wb at the end. Wouldn't 4500 make the image much warmer than 5300 wb temp? You said your image was too warm when you started the wall shoot at 5300.
Hi, Vanessa. When you do the walking shots, do you switch the auto-focus mode to AI Servo or keep it on one shot? My experience has been that “one shot” risks losing focus with that much movement, but it can also be hard to keep a focus point on the eye while walking (One reason I am really looking forward to the R5). Just curious about your practice. Thanks for the great video.
very good, but yes. please shoot one with non-models. not all of us get the luxury of having people know what to do.... on a side note (and you can reply back channel if you like) but what does your tattoo say? i realize its in Hebrew but am very curious
Great walk-through of posing. Very detailed. Thank you for being thorough. You definitely have a gift of teaching.
I appreciate that!

Twixler thank you. That means so much to me 😊

So nice of you!! One day we'll have photo walks again. :-)
The feeling that you get when the photographer is hotter than the models. Great work!

Great details,am ready to use on my non model clients thank you!
Awesome as always
Appreciate you!
Love your videos, so why can you not set the ambient settings with air remote on camera? I do it all the time. Thanks:)
The R5 automatically turns off exposure compensation when something is on the hotshoe . Hopefully just a setting I have to find to change that
Great video. Excellent advice to bear in mind if ever I shoot people shots. And congrats on your million views.
Thank you so much!!! So excited!!!
I do believe I remember seeing this on Instagram. Great video. I thought I saw Seth Miranda :)
Haha yeah you did
I'm big fan of you Vanessa joy
Thanks for sharing your brain nuggets!! ❤️
Anytime :)
AWESOME!!!
Thanks!!
Please, more Videos like that.
Great video! I also use the Gel and love it! Would you be upgrading to the Canon R5?
I was wondering why she was using the 1DX2 instead of the R5 too!
Hello Vanessa, could you help me with what kind of light pole is that? I have been looking for one for the longest time but the vast majority are just too flimsy for my taste
That one wasn’t mine so I’m not sure 🤔 but I bet @Adorama could help you out if you ask them!
THIS WAS GREAT! thanks for doing this. Wish you could hold a workshop on this. Thank you. (Curious: meaning of the arm tat?)
Can you tell us what your focusing mode is? How are you getting focus so quickly while moving around?
I was using single point focus and moving it around manually. I was just super fast at it lol
@@VanessaJoy Wow. OK. It's great stuff and I do appreciate the reply.
@@VanessaJoy Do you use manual single point through all your speed posing?
@@alienproductions9948 If I’m using this camera yes, if I’m using an R5 I’m using Ai servo head face and Eye detection
@@alienproductions9948 my pleasure ☺️
Good evening.
I'm Ade from UK.
May I ask, what colour temperature kelvin did you set in your camera for this shoot.
Thanks in advance.
I believe I go over that since I dialed it in manually and definitely changed it midway
Awesome
Thx 🙏
What’s the name of your camera strap? Great pics btw
kawaprogear - thanks!

What is that in your back pocket?? I just found you and you just Cleared up a long time question i had!!!!!!!
What question?
@@VanessaJoy i didnt know what a transmitter was
But also, what is that Thing you carry in your back pocket with a wire attached?
Once again you nailed it, I love the pose of both brides I am going to try this on sisters its perfect. The back light Sun effect is also very effective in the bland white light environment. Nope. As you go lower on the kelvin number the image gets cooler. :)
My mistake. You are correct. Kelvin in-camera.
Love the video. Do you intend to go mirrorless or move up to (my dream camera) mark 3 any time soon?
This video is a little
Older. I currently own the mark iii and will likely buy the r5 as well

With the R5 or R6 I’m on AI servo all the time
Looking at the date of the video, I thought for sure you'd be using your new favorite camera, EOS R5. 😁
Read the description 😉
when the photographer is more gorgeous than their subjects 😎😄
Super useful video but the quality was capped at 360p for me for some reason
Sorry about that - it's repurposed from Instagram so I could only do so much with it. :-) Hope the content is still good!
Vanessa Joy quality more than enough, just wanted to make sure you were aware 👍🏻
@@donaldhollister8430 always appreciate the heads up :-)
Shabbat shalom from Florida 👍
Same to you!
Why are you not concerned about blinks on the dress? Doesn't that mean no detail on those areas?
Hi Seth.
haha gotta love a good easter egg
❤❤❤
How about top 3 posing don'ts for brides and portrait photography?
there's an idea :-)

I do... when I actually work. You see a lot of videos of my non-model work here
Aug 21, 2020 quality video: 420p ?!
Yeah, downloaded from Instagram, that's all they gave me :-( Hopefully you can still get something from it!
