Thank you for watching and the feedback. It would be a better kit if the mounts didn't bend when tightening down the radiator. Thought it isn't a flush spot so it makes since they do. That is cool you found a work around for it. I didn't take enough time to look into it. A year later. It is still holding strong.
@timthetrailman4563 The algorithm is something that makes or breaks you with your videos being found. The algorithm isn't really too kind to us even with the subscriber numbers we have. They really push certain people's content and others not so much. When they do suggest our videos, our view numbers go way up. It's something I still don't understand how it works.
@timthetrailman4563 The best advice I can give is make videos because you like it and you want to help people. If you're doing it for those two reasons, you'll be happy. If you're doing it because one day it will make you a lot of money, you might be heavily disappointed. We make decent money, but still not remotely enough for the time we put in. It's very much a labor of love and all about helping people first and foremost.
@@DG850post PC Toyota has been there for like 60 years I have nothing but good things to say about them. If you’re up for the drive look up yotamafia they also do phenomenal work.
Def cost effective for the 1 inch lift. People say that not worth for “only” 1 inch? But they do not understand what only 1 inch does for approach, breakover and departure angles. Looks great too. As long as the steering is not affected, well worth it. But I’ll pay a shop to do the labor.
@crodrc51able it is good mod for the price with great results for off roading. No steering changes in my time having it on the 4runner. One I would definitely do again.
It is a manual transfer case. I have used 4wd since the lift and I couldn't tell a difference in engaging 4wd. I did only use 4hi. I doubt 4 low would be any different. Thank you for watching and the compliment.
Can you follow up on the steering column? How do you account for the inch if the steering column splines have the flat parts the bolts have to line up with?
I did not need to do anything with it. I did attempt to disconnect for the lift but it was stuck pretty good. Almost a year later everything is still going well.
Thanks for the video, I also have the same lift waiting to be installed. I wish you had a close-up of the steering shaft connection after the lift. Were there enough splines for the 1" lift?
Thank you for watching. I am sorry for not getting video of that part. I actually don't think it changes anything where it bolts on the splines. I couldn't get mine to slide to release it. It also didn't give me any problems lifting it with it still attached. Feel free to message me on IG under Tim the Trail Man and i can send you a picture of the steering shift with the lift on it
It has been great. No issues as of yet. Just snug getting the battery posited cable on top with the 2 little fuses. Not all 4runners have these fuses I am told.
Thank you for watching and asking. I don't mind at all. I wanted to have something a little different than most and to find out if the TSS still worked properly. Some have been told not to do it because it would mess it up.
Hand tools. Nothing is that tight and I don't have a great air compressor at the house. I might have used a cordless dewalt once bolts were broke loose but it is the little driver one.
I don't see why it wouldn't. It only lifts the body. The KDSS I believe connects from the frame to the suspension. Please double check me and ask Toytec.
A very long time ago, I had a body lift on a truck. It wasn't reliable. It always worked it's way loose. A bolt is a bolt is a bolt is a bolt....................
I agree. All it does it raise the center of gravity and make aftermarket parts not fit. Bumpers, sliders, and anything that fits close to the body will now have a 1 inch gap. And the minimal additional clearance for tires is not worth it. Just get a suspension lift.
I ended up offsetting the top brackets for the radiator. I highly recommend it. It took a couple of minutes with a vice and the sit flush now.

Installed this kit to clear my 35s better.. had the DEALERSHIP install it for only $200😂 love Panama City Toyota
That's a heck of a deal.
bout the only good thing in panama city Tallahassee has a big yota dealership but they suck

I have a 3 inch King suspension on my 21 venture . Does not affect sensors. Stay safe brother 🙏
That is good the know. Thank you watching and the feedback.

Do You have a manual transfer case shift lever and did it affect its throw or function at all? Great video boss!

With body lifts, can you still install after market skid plates, after market bumpers, rear bumpers and rock sliders?
@RCGJR_ yes, bumpers will be more complicated but skids it won't make a difference to the best of my knowledge. I don't have aftermarket skids
She looks great!
Thank you

I am thinking of doing this to my 2001 4runner. What modification do you need to do? Just want to do a 1 inch?
The 2001 is a Gen 3 correct? If so I'm not familiar with them.
How have you liked the body lift? Any problems with it or any down sides of ride quality?
It has been great. No issues as of yet. Just snug getting the battery posited cable on top with the 2 little fuses. Not all 4runners have these fuses I am told.
I have that exact body lift in my closet right now, looking to install it soon. How’s the new look/ride so far
It looks good and rides smooth.
If you don't mind me asking, what was the reasoning for installing this body lift? Seems like a lot of trouble for just an inch
Thank you for watching and asking. I don't mind at all. I wanted to have something a little different than most and to find out if the TSS still worked properly. Some have been told not to do it because it would mess it up.
Did it mess with the tss? I want to install this same kit
Looks badass 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you.
Are the Toytec spacers plastic or aluminum?
Some form of plastic composite
didi you use hand tools or impact gun?
Hand tools. Nothing is that tight and I don't have a great air compressor at the house. I might have used a cordless dewalt once bolts were broke loose but it is the little driver one.
@timthetrailman4563 awesome! Thanks I been trying to find a video for the 5th gen to do the body lift I will attempt today! Thanks alot! Great video
@Slow4runner thank you. You will like the lift. If you have questions don't hesitate to reach our on IG. Same name. Tim the Trail Man
Will it work with KDSS?
I don't see why it wouldn't. It only lifts the body. The KDSS I believe connects from the frame to the suspension. Please double check me and ask Toytec.

8 minutes in... yeah I'll pass
@sammyglo5354 not a horrible job. Definitely easier with 2 people
Be smart, use your brain don’t dont waste your money on a body lift.
What are your thoughts against a body lift?

What men will go through for just one more inch! 🤏
Every inch counts.
