He doesn't complement his now gorlfriend they don't conversate much as a couple. I basically think he doesn't not have the right intention for her, with that being said I think she's being used... are my thoughts biased because she's my ex!!!...

They say dog is a man's best friend. If you can be friends with a dog you can be friends with a woman. I have seen men and women married and their relationship looks like a jail sentence.
It can work but you need to have boundaries and be respectful of your friend's main relationship. I have a male friend. He has a girlfriend and daughter. I don't hug him or anything like that. We talk, I visit sometimes cause their daughter is my god daughter and I talk with his girlfriend she's a nice person. But I also distance myself to a certain extent because friendship is secondary to a spousal relationship and you need to respect that and act accordingly.
I don't mess around with my lady like that ever. Screw that man. She is my only best friend I need in this life time and cut all the rest off completely.

If you have a friend of opposite sex or same sex if that way inclined, then there becomes chemistry. Either physically attraction or emotional. Either way once the boundary gets blurred you become unfaithful. The only way you could make a friendship work in that way is if your intimate partner is present in all the contact and if you listen to your intimate partners concerns.
The thing is, if your friend has any fantasies about you or is attached only to you in your partnership then their advice is not without bias. There advice will be based on what they think is best for your relationship with them. So you vent that your husband forgot to do the dishes. Expect the remark some time later about them doing the dishes - such as you message them and they wait 5 minutes to respond and then go - sorry for replying slow was doing the dishes. And Bam now they've put a crack in your intimate relationship because they've taken your frustration and made you think a positive towards them.
Also the most telling bit. A friend wants whats in your best interests. So how can I be best friends with a female knowing that my presence in her life will undeniably cause problems in her intimate relationship and thus cause her pain or sadness. Thus to be a real friend I need to remain distant and disconnected.

I have a male friend that just entered into a relationship. We didn’t really share many conversations our friendship was built on me going to see him play basketball or tennis. The last tennis tournament I went to he gave be a huge hug and we both didn’t let go for a long time and when I began to loser my hold he tightened his. The next day I returned to see him play in tournament finals but I came with another male friend tyler never asked who he was so I didn’t tell him we were just friends. All of this happened in September and he started dating another girl at the end of February. For me our friendship was strong without the conversation piece because almost every time I saw him he’d have a big smile on his face and give me a hug. I haven’t seen or talked to him since basketball season ended and he put his hand up when I reached out to hug him

Both ppl should hv friends bc if and when the two break up then what. they need an ear to talk too. if he or she mentions the other friend, yes, perhaps it's innocent. Perhaps, it's that one who doesn't mention it, may cause a problem. it's complicated all around. It depends on the age and degree of the relationship. Sometimes, seniors hv more than one friend that they know for decades. If two pl get involved, he/she can't just say, they will never see the person they know for ten yrs, the person who gets their mail when they are not home, etc. Old ppl need their friends, one to walk with, talk with, go shopping, etc. It can be a tough situation if one of the partners is not as social as the other.

I agree guys and girls can't be friends. My friendship group is a mixture of guys and girls. (6 guys and 8 girls) We were all friends. 2 of the girls in the group were attractive and the rest just average or not to mean unattractive. All of my mates liked the same chick and she only dated 2 of them. And one out of those 3 dated the other as well. I dated my best friend but then ended because I realised nah I don't want that.
All my guy friends have left. I'm literally the only guy standing. No I'm not gay. I need new friends not because I'm saying guys and girls cant be friends but because they don't really talk to me anymore other than when they're bored. Where did this guy get the definition of Intimacy? There is no definition of this word that does not include sex. Cambridge Dictionary states Intimacy is " a situation in which you have a close friendship or sexual relationship with someone" Oxford states 1.2 Sexual intercourse. Does this guy just make up his own shit? What language does he speak?
If I have to change my relationship with my female friend for my partner,she better do the same too.. but I do not believe that men and women can be friends.. women who only hang out with men are dominant, insecure and can't handle you having ANY female friends.men who hang out with those women are mostly either gay, losers or just the guys that a lot of women do not see as attractive. Also, trying to be better for her then her friends does not work .those women are therefore NOT good relationship material
