Very well thought out, as Bruce and Kazuya are partners in the canon story. tl;dr: He picked Lei and Jun to get Kazuya and Bruce as the Sub-Boss fight. Well played!

This is one of the greatest games. I remember when first come out in the arcades... was pretty quiet the first year (99) and we just practising what few tag combos we could find.
Jun is indeed alive, but she’s gone missing. Seeing how Tekken 8 will center around Jin and Kazuya’s confrontation, Jun just has to drop her M.I.A status and have a prominent role again at this point.
