King here outmatches Armor King with many wrestling combos and very good defences and breaking out combos. This game seems to be timelessly outstanding, ahead of its time. I will be happy to play this tekken game again.
I forgot how good the wrestling move reversals, gameplay and camera angles was in this game, and the match between King and Armor King showcases that perfectly.

There is no confirmed relationship between Julia and AK atm. In TT2 Julia replaced the real Jaycee who had an injury. It seems like the real Jaycee was the partner of AK. After her accident she needed a replacement and asked Julia to wrestle in her place. Julia accepted and became officially Armor Kings tag partner. Other than that there is not much known about their relationship...

The surprise battle against Julia was really a nice touch... too bad didn't use the 2p or 4p outfit of her (IMHO, the best outfits she have ever had). Amazing run as always.
In Tekken Tag 1, Namco used a shitload of polygons on the characters, I noticed that Tekken Tag 1 looked better than the other Ps2 Tekken's, It was probably because those polygons had to go somewhere else. But I won't forget when I saw that Kazuya's studs on his gloves were 3D??? wow.

I really wish they hadn't done away with Armor King's "shrug" win animation in Tekken 7. To me, that gesture was synonymous with the character.
The problem here is, this shrug was synonymous with the Original Armor King. Remember the Armor King of today is a different man.
