    Thanks so much for promoting Nigerian aviation to the world, some aspect of Nigeria 🇳🇬 is so underrated and buried under all the political nonsense happening in Nigeria 🇳🇬.
    Nigeria has bad leaders and things are hard but we can not deny that Nigerians are one of the most hard working people on earth. Nigerians control Nigerian aviation without foreign interference, a lot of local airlines in Nigeria 🇳🇬 are owned by Nigerians. Few foreign airline running local roots some have left Nigeria 🇳🇬 cause they could not stand competition from Nigerians.
    I flew from Abuja to Lagos last with one of our youngest airline company and it was great experience. We are not even going to talk about Nigerians pilots, they are representing the content not just Nigeria. Every airline owned by Nigerian their pilots and flight attendants are Nigerians.
    People only hold on to bad side of Nigeria 🇳🇬 forgetting many other beautiful things about Nigerians.
    Once again, thank you

    I am proud of the consistency in top notch service and flight experience from Ibom Air. They are our no.1 local airline and this video proves it.
    The Nigerian business environment is still not friendly at all. Government regulators, civil servants and the political government itself are the major hindrance to businesses as seen in the airport experience. However, we hope the reforms being undertaken by the current aviation minister will yield results soon.
    Again, well done ibom air. Quality staff! Quality airline! You are a shining light of how Nigerian businesses should look like and God bless you!.

    Nigeria, the heartbeat of Africa. Restricting filming at airports isn't only about covering up corruption and originally started as a security measure stemming from the raid at Entebbe airport hostage situation in 1976. Perhaps it's now unnecessary but that's one explanation. The Nigerian government also recently signed an MOU with Boeing, so let's see if that helps matters in the near future.

    • @Bprovo
      @Bprovo 3 місяці тому

      In Nigeria in general, filming is poorly tolerated, compared to other parts of the world. It's not even the airports. Just in Nigeria in general. In most parts of the world, this is not the case. You can go to any random city and film just about anywhere.

    Nice to see you in Nigeria, been following your channel for years now. You were spot on about politics being one of the bottlenecks of aviation development in Nigeria. For example, the current government's policy on removal (or not) of fuel subsidy is driving transportation cost, and in effect other items costs through the roof, including air ticket prices. Hoping you enjoy your stay in Nigeria.

    Thanks for the video on Ibom Air. Nigeria has one of the most underutilised aviation sectors in the world considering its size, population and resources. Hopefully, videos like this will shed light on this sector and lead to the improvement we are all longing for. The graveyard for the planes is an eyesore, typically they will remain there for long as is the trend with other derelict assets. Even though this video appears sponsored, I desire a spontaneous non non-sponsored video of Nigeria aviation as a whole, that will tell a more factual story.Thanks.

    It seems they don't like airport filming in Africa.
    I flew to Zambia from the UK in the late 80s and sat beside a lovely woman who worked in the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing. I was taking her photograph in the airport lounge at her request, when suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was security guard holding a gun telling me photography wasn't allowed.

    • @idy386

      @sirBrouwer 3 місяці тому +2

      a lot of them see it a s a security risk. the more as quite often airports share there space with there military air side.
      It's not clear what you are getting of film. You might be taking a picture of the lady however that could have been a decoy as you are more aiming at what is behind the lady.
      The opposite might also happen if you do ask for permittion and that is granted they might show you about everything. As then they or at least those that need to will know what and how. As they might still be very proud in showing there work.

      @@17cmmittlererminenwerfer81 Let's start with the first thing you're wrong on..
      1. until recently I've worked 24/7 to pay bills, not travel(for pleasure, I travel for work). So I've not had the luxury of flying on a whim to where my heart takes me
      2. I'm now lucky enough to no longer work 24/7 to pay bills, so have started planning on travelling to places my heart takes me, rather than the stereotypical holiday destinations of a European, first of which is India later this year, with several African countries penciled in for end of next year, one of which being Nigeria

      @@daPalma Abuja is a wonderful, safe destination to visit year-round, though it’s especially lush and green in the middle of the year. By November, the city enters the drier season, with some plants turning brown and the harmattan winds bringing dry air, but the city retains its beauty even then. Compared to Lagos, Abuja is quieter and makes for an excellent choice for a first-time visit.
      Just exercise the same caution you would in any other city around the world-Abuja is quite safe and well-organized. To familiarize yourself with the city’s highlights, I recommend watching plenty of Abuja videos on UA-cam before your trip.
