  • For those of you wondering about the blur in the top right quadrant of my vids these past several months, have a listen. For those of you wondering how I ended up choosing the Bug Smasher, I think I talk about it in this vid as well! Have a listen!

They all sound like sewing machines when you first get them .

I have the Softail Low Rider 107. It is a great machine with plenty of power that is nice to have on the motorway/highway. Never thought about the sewing machine analogy but you are right, it's a nonsense. Mine is stock (aside from an FP3) and personally I Ilike the quieter sound and of course it does not really sound like a sewing machine! Oh they stopped making it cos it was not so popular as I was told by HD dealer staff.
My Intro to HD was an Iron 883, I could not get on with it and traded it in after 6 monts or so. Centre of gravity too high as was the seat height. Got a Superlow 883 and then a 48. Both awesome , cool bikes but not good for higher speeds and no fuel gauge was a real pain.
Great topic and ride out on the Bug Smasher (must think-up a name for mine).
    ps; what crack!?

Never noticed the crack but you can switch out the lense. I have read that once you take it off to replace or change the lense for artistic reasoning, they aren't as "waterproof" as they once were. Also, kuddos to you for having your GoPro straight. Mine is not and I'm glad I'm not OCD. Lastly, Low Rider S and Fat Boy are my dream bikes...

As far as a Dyna, the one I absolutely love is the 2006 35th Anniversary Super Glide that looked like the "original" Super Glide of the 1970s. As far as Japanese cruiser bikes, most of them are haven't been updated for years and are only 5 speeds (except the Rebel). I think back to my old 1979 AMF Sportster and that only had 4 speeds. I think the cruiser market is dead except with Harley and Indian. The Japanese market have some "left overs" but the bikes they have advanced are just sporty bikes with a low seat height (like the Rebel and Vulcan S.) I have to admit I like Harley's but some Harley dealers have turned me off with their attitudes. I went to a dealership in North Billerica and they would not tell me the price of the bike, only how much payments would be (even though I wanted to pay cash.) I guess if I buy Harley I have to buy used. (Looks like Todd's in Bellingham have some nice used ones according to craislist.) Thanks for the video and the travels thru Sherborn, etc. roads I don't recall riding lately.

Now that you mention the cracked lens, I can barely see it. If you need a replacement camera, hit me up. I'm a Wide Glide guy, so I have a bias look at the topic. If something happened to Bug Smasher, I'd get a newer Low Rider, There's a metric ass ton of them out there and the used HDs out there. The market is flooded. Bug Smasher isn't going anywhere. :)
