Im on a 16 Fatboy now. I'm 5'11, about 240lbs & think I'm ready to make the jump to a Street Glide. I LOVE my Fatboy so having a tough time deciding whether or not to trade it in for the SG...
I orig. wanted a fatboy, but I wanted hard bags more, haha. I don't like they way they look on the fatboys.
I just found your channel and I am also looking forward to getting a Street Glide hopefully soon. I’m looking at the 2024. I’m going back and forth on what color I would want to get.

I love the red and black. I had an Electra Glide in black and chrome. As a usual softail owner, I wasn't as crazy about that sitting "on" the bike feeling it gave me. I also had a Road King - which gave me the same feeling.
My next Harley will be a Road Glide - and I'd love to have this same red and black combo.

thx for watching. When you shift up, it can ruin your shoes on the top. With a heel/toe shifter, you don't have to worry about that.
Congrats on the bike! Take extra care wiping it down! The brine in our area (I live near you- could recognize your route) can be a b**tch to get off and will be on the roads until the spring rains. Your bike very likely does not have a tune and doesn’t need one with just slip-ons (mufflers). Once you switch to a higher flowing air filter you would need a tune.

You need to read your owners manual about when to upshift. Riding in 3rd gear at 70 is hard on the compensator and other components in the drive train. There's a lot of information in the manual. Read it.
70 in 3rd is barely at 4,000 rpm, so how is that so bad on the drive train?

Dude if the headers have been changed you need a tune, but it ain't popping so I guess you just have slip ons
just slip ons...for now
