I get away paying for 89 rated gas. about 20k miles on it rn and not one single issue plus i modded the car to 450 hp for about a year w downpipe. Took it all off eventualy and still no problems after beating the motor and driving hard. had a tire pop but the runflats saved me. Those are expensive tho, about 900$ for a runflat but I chose to get regular tires and take the risk of not having runflats

Not sure about a company that wants to charge annually for something that is literally free from every other car maker. C'mon BMW you can make money in other ways...
@@bigj192 If you need more back up: bought this car with 68 000 kms, after a year it has done 20k kms more and had literally not even the slightest of issues with it. Plenty of power, good looks and lovely noise (even stock)
@@blackkingsize it was ok, the fake exhaust sound that played inside the vehicle was just bad, it was so loud on sport but the outside made no noise. Power was not all that bad it just ran out of steam eventually.
I like the full Merino leather that extends all the way up to the glove compartment. It really is a nice touch. I'd check all the boxes if I ordered one.
I have this car, same colour but 2016 and black interior. I agree with everything you said. My car's year doesn't offer the digital dash yet, and sometimes I think it's a bad thing when I sell this thing but for personal use I also prefer the analog dash like you. I feel like the only thing my car lacks is heated seats. However, the dealer + car itself gave me so much confidence compared to other ones I went to see, that I decided to ignore that. It's good sounding (yes, with stock exhaust too), comfortable even with the M sport stuff (You feel bumps but not in a harsh way), and sporty, edgy and sharp when you want that.
isnt RWD better for driving except traction requirements in winter? Im planning to buy one in germany but xdrive is going a bit out of budget so deciding on standart 440i MSport
my thoughts exactly, a lot of the BMWs i've tried lately has too much rebound - dampers too soft to match the stiff springs so bouncy ride especially after 20K+ miles/kms when they wear in. So then they try to get you to buy the "adaptive" then it's really too soft or too stiff! A compliant ride properly dampened passive set-up is not only comfortable but grips better too. Marketing...
I know, the advantage with the mperf kit is that it's keeps the waranty, for me personaly if anything happens at least I wouldn't have to worry about that. With the jb4 i know you can take it off as well but it's a bit more work. Remaping it is another story. He seems to say that no one has been able to remap the B58 engine.

@@blademanx The m3 e92 sounded good, and the e46's intake sound is legendary, but as for noise, this generation with the B58 sounds beautiful. Full and warm/deep with the snorts on upshifts and subtle crackles on let-off. ALOT nicer than the m3/m4 which sounds more like 'just noise' to me.

I have a 435 GC and drive it like I stole it almost every day. These engines want you to drive hard and makes for such a fun GT car. It can be comfortable when I want, but also edgy and sporty, especially with coilovers and an exhaust. Definitely not as fun to drive as my track build Honda SI, but man this car MOVES with a Stage 1 tune and a transmission tune. Why buy a fast car if you don't drive it fast?
Ah yes, someone else who thinks the digital cluster is pretty much useless compared to analog on a performance vehicle! Imagine digital gauges that lags on M cars, that would be a major turn off.

Look, I got an Audi A4 from 2001 at the moment (planning to get a new one this year). Past 100km an hour, I just hold the steering wheel quite tight so it won't go crazy. You let go of the steering wheel at 200 + and nothing happens. Dang it!
I own a 440i like this and one thing that stands out for me personally is how solid stable it feels. When I drive on highways it literally feels as if it's on tracks like a train. Dead straight no matter what. :)
@@SchytexGraphics I'm honestly not joking: this car does not reach speeds at which it does that under normal circumstances. I haven't personally driven against the electronic limiter, but did reach speeds over 220 and it just doesn't feel sketchy at any point

In the real world tho, this generation m3/m4 + with it's added power struggles with grip. I've done about 5 races now versus 5 different M4's and they were all nearly identical. starting at like 30kmh to 120kmh, there was 0 difference. 2 of those races were on highways, ~100-180kph and the difference there still isn't as big as i thought. obviously the m4 is the car you'd pick but there's good reasons to buy the 40i's. such as gran coupé and the insanely epic ZF8 + B58 combo and just cheaper/more subtle. it doesn't take much money to get equal power on these
This or LCI 340i xdrive? I know the difference, but would love an insight from you guys since I own a 340i that handles well, but the front body and wider body of the 4 series is getting to me. Consider both m sport.
M4 Gran Coupe?? Really not necessary with the M3 being around. People can and will buy that instead. The real question is why even have a 4 series gran coupe?? It's better looking and more practical than the 3 series sedan, so just rebrand the 4 series GC to the 3 series and be done with it.
3 Year update on owning this car, I have beat the motor and driven the car really hard, tuned and everything to 400whp. Still 0 issues
