- The Ultramarines have tracked down a group of xenos saboteurs, it seems their goal is to blow out the power in the main districts of the capital. The team job is to eliminate the threat and restore the power grid in case it goes down. The Genestealer Cults have big plans for the Planet’s Capital, they only need a diversion to put it in place, destroying the power source of some districts should be enough. Who will prevail?

I always love seeing the Wyrmblade (they’re my main team)! It’s a shame the Sanctus Talon couldn’t be more than a distraction to those Marines, I love that bio dagger of his!

Looks like the Distraction failed. There's a reason they send Space Marines in to deal with infantry: they're hard as nails. Great battle report!

Those poor Cult Operatives. The Talon died to a Plasma Pistol because his Gunner was too cowardly / clumsy to screen him properly.
Yeah courage is not the best quality of Neophytes I suppose 😂

I could have been mistaken but couldnt the flammer save your intersessor with the loyalty tactical ploy by forcing an intervention?
At the moment I'm out of city and can't check it but it could be, I don't remember how that ploy works

Use this Tactical Ploy when a friendly WYRMBLADE LEADER or CULT AGENT operative is selected as the target for combat. Select one other friendly LOCUS or NEOPHYTE operative (excluding a LEADER operative) within "blue" of that friendly operative to intervene.
If that intervening friendly operative is not within Engagement Range of an enemy operative, you can interrupt that combat to perform a free Charge action with it, but it must finish that move within Engagement Range of the enemy operative fighting in that combat.
If that intervening friendly operative is within Engagement Range of that enemy operative, it becomes the target for that combat.

why is it that one of the astartes started outside the drop zone? I've watched a lot of different Warhammer tabletop matches of different kinds but haven't played the game myself so I don't understand the intricacies of the rules.
It's the rule of that mission, the defender can deploy 30% of it's team inside the 3 sectors but the models can't leave the room until they see enemies.
