The beautiful milk chocolate skin that you achieved with this pastel set baffles me its such a perfect darker skintone! I'm shocked! Layering perfection!
This video was amazing. I've watched several reviews of this Ohuhu set, and I think you did the best job showcasing what effects and looks can be achieved with these colours. In some of the other videos, they did not manage to get the pastel look they wanted, in others they did not achieve the level of contrast they were going for. But you saw very clearly what could be done with them, and did so beautifully. My take on it, after watching several reviews: 1. On its own, this set may not offer enough contrast if you're going for pieces that cover the whole range of values. The lights are not super light, and there aren't any darks. 2. But if you use the right type of paper, pick the right colour combinations, and know what you're doing, you can achieve amazing results. 3. If you combine this set with darker and lighter markers, it can add a lot of vibrant variety in that mid-light range. 4. Alternatively, adding cool-coloured linework can add some much needed contrast. Seriously, that blue linework was just perfectly delicious. Such a treat! And I must say, this video as a whole was fantastic. The art was amazing, both just to watch for my own pleasure and to learn how you achieve these looks. I also found it so interesting and fun and educational to listen to your commentary. And finally, I loved hearing your thoughts on these shows. Especially The Queen's Gambit was not on my radar at all, but you made such a strongly reasoned and compelling case for why I should check it out. Also, on a side note, I understand your worries that lots of erasing would disrupt the flow of a video. But on the other hand it's a reality of the process that lots of us noobs underestimate because so few art videos show the extend to which it happens even if everything went well. So I had an idea that might be fun (although I can also imagine it might be too much work): you could do kind of a Jackie Chan style blooper reel at the end of videos, where you show all of the erasing and reworking that went on behind the scenes. Possibly with a fun soundtrack or dramatic visual effects or something, if you're feeling silly. That way, that footage is not wasted but something you can use. So it might reduce your feelings of stress and selfconsciousness while drawing. And it both helps aspiring artists and lets us viewers appreciate even more how much work and skill goes into making these amazing artworks!

Started with My Hero Academia which I was obsessed with and finished in no time (cant wait for the next season), and I'm now devouring Haikyu. Probably gonna end finishing that one soon cause I have no self control. I reaaaally missed anime humour tho, it's so good.

Our little black and white cat was the same way Sadie loved people and attention but as soon as she felt like you wronged her in some way she would pull out your clothes and pee on them. 😂
@@imawonder Exactly lol. Sadie liked to serve up audacity on the daily. She would pee on your stuff while looking you dead in the eye. We would just sit there in disbelief 👁👄👁. Sadly she passed away as well a couple months ago.

I saw you commenting on your instagram story the other day that it was annoying when your head gets in the shot (I had to edit so much out of my most recent video because I had the same problem 😅) and so when I noticed a little bit of the top of your head in this one it made me chuckle (it's not super obvious or anything, I guess I was just subconsciously looking for it because of your story haha). I really enjoyed playing this on the background while doing some sketches (and now I also have a bubble tea craving). Great video as always! oh my god the dip pen at the beginning illustration looked SO clean it was actually therapeutic to watch. Plus, the girl was so cute I'd totally love to cosplay her look! I definitely want to try these markers out, because pastels can be so fun and add a nice amount of color without being overwhelming. Also the way you drew tamaki and inosuke was so cool ;-; as someone who recently finished the whole demon slayer manga I am still very emotional about many things, and if they ever get around to animating the whole series I hope it'll be just as amazing as everything up until now. As for the movie....omg just thinking about it right now makes me feel EXTREMELY emotional. It's good but it's...whew yeah. bring tissues.

Honestly if you got Copics I don't know if getting the Ohuhu's are necessary unless you want more variety in your colour selection (if you got lots of dark-mid colours than adding the pastel Ohuhu's would be great!) Hehe thanks so much!

I honestly don't think you need to buy the Ohuhu if you already have the Arrtx, the only major difference for me is the Arrtx markers that I have don't have a brush nib but it's not that big a deal to me!
So you briefly mention acrylic and India ink around the 8 minute mark, how big is the difference between the two? Are they similar? I have only ever used India ink
So how come you and other artists I know color first then ink? Is it so the ink won’t smudge? I ink first and when I color, the ink smudges a little. Beautiful work as always.
