I'm late with this, but if it's safe for people to protest in person (and protest by the tens of thousands in every place in the country), then it's safe to go to school and learn in person. Unless a ton of teachers and students are out with Covid, there's no reason to not have in-person learning. You can't push virtual learning/worship/work and defend/justify people protesting in masse. Have people mask up and come to school.
