I can never. Ever. Listen to this song without tearing up. This version is absolutely beautiful, the harmony is amazing. The AF men and women makes it all the more powerful.
Can we just talk about how Lee Greenwood is 78 years old and the way he sang those runs and those high notes? Senior citizen ain't nothing but a state of mind!!
It's a VERY emotional version. Had me in tears, and YES Lee Greenwood is *STILL* THE mAN. Please do more Home Free reactions too, I think you'll enjoy them.
Amazing that he still has those pipes. After hearing this I listened to a few other Home Free tunes...I'll definitely be doing a deeper dive into their stuff.
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure they are awesome, and you'll become a Home Fry as we fans call ourselves. If you like country listen to their cover of "Some Girls do", if you like just amazing harmony & arrangement & stunning scenery look for "How Great thou Art". For something funny, the Butts Medly....also in 2016 you'll notice that one of the guys left, Chris to pursue a solo career. He actually picked his replacement in the group, so it was an amicable leaving....oh also react to an original "Catch me if you can" & another cover "Castle on the Hill" an Ed Sherran cover.
@Big Swede's Excellent Adventure they do an amazing rendition of "El Vira" with the Oak Ridge Boys that you should watch. And Chris Rupp (as previous poster mentioned) went solo and does stuff you should look into as well.

HI! Former US Navy here. I served on two aircraft carriers and a guided missile frigate so I got to hear many "swooshes"! This has been a favorite song since Lee Greenwood first sang it. The next cover I really listened to was Home Free. Most covers they do, I like as good as the originals, but do not try to rate which one was best because I liked both (or more in some cases), but this collaboration just blew it through the ceiling. I don't think it would have been as great without the inclusion of any group or person performing it. I lost several shipmates while I served and miss them most days, and I have lost many more due to illness and age since serving during Viet Nam so this song and this version chokes me up every time I hear it whether I listen to the reaction or the original video. Thanks for your reaction, and God bless America!
Dad and stepdad were both Navy men (submarines)...thanks for serving! I feel you though...part of what makes this song so heavy for me is the memories of brothers and sisters who are no longer with us...be they lost in action, to a disease, or their own internal demons...they always come to mind when I hear this song.
Lee Greenwood and Home Free were off the charts but for me the USAF Singing Sergeants were the part that put this version totally over the top. This has been one of my favorite songs since it was first released, but this version brings tears to my eyes every time.

The beatboxer was Adam Rupp and he's amazing! Home Free has a new CD that just came out called "Land Of The Free" which has this song and all the songs are patriotic and the title track is an original written by their bass Tim Foust. They have made several videos worth checking out. They are acapella, but you don't miss the instruments.

Yeah it's a heavy one for me because it obviously evokes my patriotic love for this country, despite it's faults...but also makes me think of the many military brothers and sisters I've lost over the years...I can't hear it without getting choked up. Thanks for watching!
Lee Greenwood has written a genius masterpiece song for the ages....I never thought the beauty and perfection of his original could possibly be topped - but this incredible team has managed to bring this song to the highest possible level inspired by the angels. The first time I heard this version the other day I had the same reaction!!! Just sat there in awed silence and then the tears flowed......
I’m a Canadian living, in the US, and this song MAKES ME CRY EVERY TIME. This version is even better than the original. So grateful to be living in this great country. God bless America. 🇺🇸
I’m a Canadian, living in Toronto, but my daughter lives in the U.S. I have always loved America, and Americans, almost as much as I love my own country, and feel blessed to have the United States as our neighbour. I, too, cry every time I hear this song, as much for the love of country expressed and feelings of patriotism engendered, as for the despair I feel for the sad state of my own nation, in which patriotism is discouraged. We have been told by our “leader” that Canada no longer exists, that we have no values, that we are racists, homophobes, sexist, even guilty of genocide. Our children are being taught that our founding fathers were criminals, and their legacies are illegitimate. PLEASE, America, do not choose this road - it is being offered to you oon your election day. Choose to love your wonderful country, not hate it, to work toward inclusion, not fragmentation, and to celebrate your countless successes and gifts, not denigrate them.
My grandfather was Army, my father is a 30yr retired Marine, my brother is retired CG, and I am an AF vet(49th AGS/8th AMU). Thank you for reacting to this, and thank you for your service, Sir. I loved their first cover of this. In fact, it's how I came to know who they were. But this version made this old vet tear up. It sounded so full, and Lee just let it all come out.
Absolutely...Lee raised his game on this one and the added laters of Home Free's vocals and the beautiful voices of the USAF Band just brought this to a whole other level.
Thank you for reacting to this wonderful performance - even for non-Americans like me, it's truly moving. I have to credit Home Free with introducing me to the song, from the previous version they did back in 2016. It would be great if you did react to more of their music, but in any case I'm glad this spoke to you.
My dad retired after 22 years of serving in the United States Army. When I was little we used to go to the roller rink on Hickam Air Force base in Hawaii and right before it closed they would play this song while we all sang it. I always tear up when I hear this song. Thank you for your service. 🙏🏼
Lee Greenwood said he really enjoyed doing this song because he's been singing it the same way for forty years, and having someone else taking up the main harmony allowed him to spread his wings a little.
This release is perfect timing. I have seen a much needed increase in patriotism. We all need to stand up to defend this country. God Bless the USA and God bless our president!
Home Free dropped a "making of" video for this. It's something you might like to react to. They've been performing this for years and their original cover was Amazing. They are A Cappella and you saw how amazing their beat boxer is. Every one of the members is very talented. I'm always reaching for tissues when this song plays, but this was amazing! Lee still has it and the Singing Sergeants added so much depth and feeling to the music! My only wish is that mom and gramma could hear this. Thank you! ^_^
I saw the making of video...that's what clued me in that this project was happening. Very cool to hear Lee talk about the genesis of the song and how it became as iconic as it is today...and yes, the boys in Home Free are amazingly talented. I'd never heard them before this, but wow!
It was cool! And so nice to see a behind the scenes. They usually reserve the bts for their Patreons. If you'd like to hear more of Home Free, the Home Fries will be happy to suggest more. A couple I'd suggest are Can't Stop the Feeling which they have a a break down showing each member doing something different and Catch me if You Can, a new original from the boys.
I'm not only emotional hearing this rendition but it affects me most to see the many other patriots, veterans or not, be so effected by it. It gives me hope that there is enough of us to overcome the craziness we see today. God bless you fellow patriot!
This song came out when I was in USAF basic training, and my TI used to play it every night, and sing it when we marched. I've been retired since 2004, but the song still makes me tear up, and to see it done this way -- which is the best performance of the song ever IMHO -- is a gift that means a lot. Lee is spectacular, Home Free is amazing, and the USAF band rounds it out perfectly. This one goes on my permanent playlist.
Heartfelt Reaction!! Hard too believe Lee is 78! Loved Lee’s new additions especially “God PLEASE Bless the USA!” Did you hear sound of Flyover Beatboxer Adam Rupp added at the end? Be sure to watch”The Making of This Video on You Tube!! Also catch Home Frees first video performed at Mt. Rushmore years ago!! So much Gratitude for everyone serving our Country!! Perfect way to celebrate INDEPENDENCE DAY!!! Stay Safe!!! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Yeah, Lee still has pipes . I did see the making of video. Thats how I found out that this project was happening. The "flyover" at the end was a nice touch.
I just want to say to that too many times the service and sacrifice you guys make isn’t fully appreciated in this world we live in but that my kids and I thank you so much for you have done continue to do that not only keep us safe but free . From the very bottom of my heart no that’s not right ... from the entirety of my heart ❤️ Thank you and God bless and keep you and your families and also fellow comrades safe ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love this version! Lee Greenwood is fantastic, Home Free is terrific (as always), and the USAF Singing Sergeants were awesome! Did you hear the fly-by at the end that Adam did? Amazing! I'm proud to say that every branch of the military has been represented in my family from Normandy to Desert Storm, Iraq, Afghanistan, Omar, and Quatar! After 14 yrs, my youngest daughter "retired" from the Air Force due to health problems. My oldest grandson joined the Air Force last year. I am so proud of my family, that many chose to serve and help protect this beautiful country. Thank you, also, for your service!
I watched the release on this video, been following Home Free for a while. This will be the first comment I've made on it. I served in the Marine Corps from 84 to 88. This song has always held a special place in my life. We may have served in different branches, but we're still brothers at heart. Semper Fi
Absolutely brother...the different branches might occasionally give each other a little "all in good fun" ribbing, but we are all brothers...one team, one fight! Semper Fi Marine!
I’ve watched every reaction that I can find so far.....you Sir, are NOT the only man to be touched & moved to tears by this. Thank you for your reaction. 👍🏼💜
Loved your reaction. Mine was similar. So much going on trashing our country and saying how deeply, systemically bad it allegedly is, and it was so refreshing to just listen to a bunch of people emphatically say this country is awesome and they love it.
There are definitely issues in this great country and it pains me to see its people so divided...hopefully this song can bring a small bit of healing...I've always felt that music is one of those powerful things that can bring people together unlike anything else.
Big Swede's Excellent Adventure - They’ve bee singing this song since they first started in 2000. At some point you should check it out. They did a video of it in 2016. It’s just them singing and they shot the video in front of Mt Rushmore. They do a lot of covers, but also have a number of originals, all acapella.
Thank you so much ..I have watched this over and over ... Even reposted several times on Facebook .. I cry every time .. I have family that are Military a nephew who gave his life for our great Country .. Thank you again
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure Thank you so much ..It's people like you and all of our Military I call an honor to know or be associated with ,even in some small way .. God Bless you..
Please keep in mind, those are the "Singing Sergeants," which is part of the US Air Force Band, Washington D.C. In any case, this is a superb rendition of the song, and Lee Greenwood still has pipes!
My grandpa and I would listen to this song during our road trips. He was retired Navy. This song brings back so many memories and when I listened to this version I teared up. RIP Papa.
Truly do love to see a grown man cry. Real men do cry and show their raw emotion. Thanks so much. Darren Rust, extraordinaire producer/arranger, he is an incredible arranger always. Lee really loved the changes Darren made for him. Be sure to look up the making of the video. It's awesome and fun and funny as well. Beat boxer as always Adam as they say is the heart beat of their songs. You would never know there were no drums in this if not told that. He really shows that off in the one Home free does with just the five of them in their video of this. Take care, thanks for the great reaction!
Thanks! Yeah, it wasn't until the second verse that I really caught that he was the "drummer"...it literally sounded like drums...especially the last verse when it really builds up. Phenomenal job!
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure As I've heard someone else say, it sounds as if he swallowed a drum set when he was a kid. If you didn't know it was him in their songs, you would swear there was an actual drum set that someone was playing somewhere. There are also some videos out there of him just doing his thing that are amazing.
Home Free is an AMAZING acapella vocal group. They did this song years ago and it was awesome. When Lee Greenwood got the opportunity to do this along with them this time, he said it freed him up, after years of doing it the same way, to try a few new things and he enjoyed it... and the Air Force singers sounded great. You should check more of Home Free's videos
Yeah, for sure Lee brought it to a different level on this version...great to see him try new things. Home Free was amazing, as well the the AF Band. Great collaboration.
Im from Britain and I defy anyone not to feel emotional batter hearing that,it should be played throughout the world,it hits everyone's heart, you are soulesss if it doesn't.
I bawled my head off when this was played during my son’s Coin Ceremony, and I’m not a cryer. This version brought me to tears again (yes, my son made fun of me!) He loves being in the Air Force & plans to put in a full 20. Thanks so much for your service!🇺🇸💙
I love the song, too, and am the same way. My dad was in the mechanized infantry that followed Patton back in WWII. We were brought up to understand why we should love the country in which we live, and what the difference would be somewhere else. I can never listen to this song without remembering the many things he taught us over the years. There have been other soldiers in our family, as well, but we lived with the greatest one I know. Wish he was still here with us. He passed away in 1973, at age 54. My sister has all of his medals. Thanks for reacting to this. HUGS!
Thanks for your reaction and your service! I'm with you. Tears just show something is important to you. Does my heart good to see others who love our country and pray for it. Thank God for music and the talented men and women who brought this song to us. God Bless the USA!!!
Absolutely...it took me a few playthroughs before I actually caught that...but it was great...especially as an Air Force guy I really appreciated that little touch.
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure ty for your service. I come from military family. All branches. My cousin was a former White House guard. My mom worked 26 years at Oakland Army base and Beales in California. I live in Chattanooga TN now where on July 16 2015 we had the two shootings at the recruiting center and command center. 5 servicemen were killed. #FallenFive. And on the 16th it will be 5 years. And my daughter and I were across the street from where the first shooting at the recruiting center occurred. And then shortly after the 2nd one occurred. And with everything going on, this song made me more emotional
I have watched your reaction to God Bless the USA. The song is definitely the best version I have heard but it's your reaction that brings me back time and time again to watch. Thank you for your service to our country. Thank you for not giving us reaction that you think we want to see but one that really means something to you. God Bless the USA and God bless you.❤❤
First and foremost thank you for your service!! This version was wonderful. You should listen to Home Free other songs. God bless you and your fellow soldiers.
Brother... I teared up too!! Definitely nothing wrong with that. Instead of going into the military as I considered, I went straight into law enforcement 14 years ago!! We share the same love for our country. So, good reason to feel this beautiful rendition in our hearts and souls when we've got anarchy taking place here. This rendition was hit right out of the ballpark!! And thank you for your service, man!!
Loved this reaction video! So genuine and heartfelt!! This is the kind of passion that we need in this country right now! God bless you, and God bless the U.S.A.!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Thanks...its a heavy song for me to begin with, but this version got me. I'd honestly never listened to Home Free before this, but they are amazing and I've been listening to the stuff they have on UA-cam. Great voices!
I've seen this about 15 times and I tear up every time!!! If you do decide to dive into Home Free more you won't be disappointed. You'll be a "Home Fry" (aka home free fan) before you know it. A few good songs to start with are "Man Of Constant Sorrow," and a Home Free original "Dive Bar Saints" you'll love em I promise.
By the way, Lee Greenwood is 77 years old now, and as you said, he killed it!! Oh, and you weren't the only grown man that was affected by this song. I must have watched it a dozen times, and every time it's the same.
When I was in basic training in the Air Force over 20 years ago, they put on a skit about a soldier being captured, resisting during being questioned, and then escaping. They played this song at the end. It was a lot of fun and was obviously made to make us feel patriotic and good about serving our country, and it worked :)
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure We went in the same year! I went in for basic training FEB 95. I finished training school in Keesler and was in Japan in AUG/SEP 95.
First, thank you for your service!! Nothing wrong with getting emotional from this song! It is a powerful rendition with all of those voices, Lee sounding as amazing as he did on the original, if not better! The Air Force singers all sounded really great! Then, Home Free doing what they do, as usual! They have another version with their founding member who left the group shortly after that video. I enjoyed watching your reaction, emotions and all! I get leaky eyes, and chills at the end!
I am proud to be an American. This version sent chills by its perfection. I'm heartbroken over the way America has become recently, but I will always hold to the standards of TRUE Americanism. Always support our troops, law enforcement, first responders. They put THEIR lives on the line so that WE MAY LIVE OURS.
I agree. This country has it's faults and issues that need to be worked out, but I will always love this country. It's heartbreaking to see the country so divided.

Lee sounds great for 75! Home Free and the USAF band were great. Did you hear Adam’s (beatboxer) flyover sound at the end? Tremendous. Thank you for your service.
For sure! The original will always be a classic, but this takes it up a notch.
Thank you for your service and your tears! Awesome video. Home Free fan but Lee and USAF was amazing!! Thanks for your reaction!🇺🇸❤🇺🇸
I appreciate you. Thanks for checking it out.
Love this song and makes me tear up every time I think of all of the soldiers who have paid the the ultimate price
Yup, always make me think of the brothers and sisters I've lost over the years.
Hello Cindy Carey, how are you doing today?
I come from a military family and i can NEVER get through this song without crying my eyes out and getting MAJOR CHILLBUMPS...#proudimamerican ❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤ Thanks to all military past present and future for y'alls service to our GREAT COUNTRY...❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤ This collaboration was EPIC...❤❤❤
Thanks for all your family's sacrifices for this country.
This cover was a MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!
Agreed 100%
Many thanks to your family for all the years of service to our nation.
Hello Linda Slater, how are you doing today..?
I watched the release on this video, been following Home Free for a while. This will be the first comment I've made on it. I served in the Marine Corps from 84 to 88. This song has always held a special place in my life. We may have served in different branches, but we're still brothers at heart. Semper Fi
Absolutely brother...the different branches might occasionally give each other a little "all in good fun" ribbing, but we are all brothers...one team, one fight! Semper Fi Marine!
It's emotional for most of us Americans!😢😢❤ makes me cry!
Excellent reaction. Thank you for your service sir. USA
Thanks! I appreciate you.
Lost a friend today, Al served in two wars, Korea and Vietnam. God bless you Al and God Bless the USA.
Sorry for your loss. Always hurts to lose our brothers and sisters.
I absolutely LOVE the re imagining. I'm proud to be an American...
Absolutely!
I’ve watched every reaction that I can find so far.....you Sir, are NOT the only man to be touched & moved to tears by this. Thank you for your reaction. 👍🏼💜
You just can't help but be moved by this...
Hello TR Smith, how are you doing today?
Loved your reaction. Mine was similar. So much going on trashing our country and saying how deeply, systemically bad it allegedly is, and it was so refreshing to just listen to a bunch of people emphatically say this country is awesome and they love it.
There are definitely issues in this great country and it pains me to see its people so divided...hopefully this song can bring a small bit of healing...I've always felt that music is one of those powerful things that can bring people together unlike anything else.
God Bless The USA. Absolutely. God Bless Our Military, Our Veterans,God Bless Our President🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
💯
Brother, you are not alone. If you teared up, you're a patriot, plain and simple. From one airman to another.
Hooyah!
Loved the reaction. Everyone did a great on this performance. I hope you check out more Home Free.
Yup...had never heard them before, but I've been listening since this released
Big Swede's Excellent Adventure - They’ve bee singing this song since they first started in 2000. At some point you should check it out. They did a video of it in 2016. It’s just them singing and they shot the video in front of Mt Rushmore. They do a lot of covers, but also have a number of originals, all acapella.
I tear up every single time I watch this video. The passion by everyone who sang is unmatched. Thank you for your reaction!
Absolutely!
One of my childhood memories that still makes my heart swell is us preforming this song in my 1st grade music performance
Its an amazing song
Home Free is awesome. More please. Did you catch the flyover from the beatboxer at the end?
I've had a few suggestions that I plan to check out.
I cry every time I hear this song, and the new version.....well it brought even more tears.
Powerful stuff!
Thank you so much ..I have watched this over and over ... Even reposted several times on Facebook .. I cry every time .. I have family that are Military a nephew who gave his life for our great Country .. Thank you again
I appreciate that and the sacrifices your family has made.
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure Thank you so much ..It's people like you and all of our Military I call an honor to know or be associated with ,even in some small way .. God Bless you..
oh my goodness ..shame on me ,,, THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR GREAT COUNTRY !!! I would love to shake your hand
This is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard thank you for your service and everyone who has served god bless🇺🇸🇺🇸
I've heard several covers of this song, but for me no one could ever top Lee Greenwood's original...that was until I heard this one.
Yes I was the same way but this one made me tear up
I enjoyed this version myself. We needed this especially in the time we are living in!
Absolutely. Beautiful rendition
Please keep in mind, those are the "Singing Sergeants," which is part of the US Air Force Band, Washington D.C. In any case, this is a superb rendition of the song, and Lee Greenwood still has pipes!
Yes, I know. The Air Force Band has several smaller "units", one of them being the Singing Sergeants featured here.
78 yrs old he is awesome!
Absolutely!
My grandpa and I would listen to this song during our road trips. He was retired Navy. This song brings back so many memories and when I listened to this version I teared up. RIP Papa.
I can relate...Memories of those no longer with us is one of the main reasons this song is so heavy for me.
American woman here in tears too!!! Thank you for your service!
It’s a very powerful rendition!! Great reaction! God bless you! 🇺🇸🙏♥️💙🚂🐥🐥🐥
Defintiely powerful. I appreciate you.
33 years in Air Force blue (26 1974-2000 active duty). I have heard this song countless times and my heart still swells. This version was amazing.
It hits close to your heart, and that's a good thing. Also, thank you for your service, sir.
I appreciate that, thanks.
I'm an old USAF vet also, great reaction
Thanks my brother!
Thank you for your service brother! Subscribing for that fact alone!
Much appreciated. Thank you!
Im from Britain and I defy anyone not to feel emotional batter hearing that,it should be played throughout the world,it hits everyone's heart, you are soulesss if it doesn't.
It's powerful...no doubt
I bawled my head off when this was played during my son’s Coin Ceremony, and I’m not a cryer. This version brought me to tears again (yes, my son made fun of me!) He loves being in the Air Force & plans to put in a full 20. Thanks so much for your service!🇺🇸💙
Hello Krystal Bauer, how are you doing today?
I love the song, too, and am the same way. My dad was in the mechanized infantry that followed Patton back in WWII. We were brought up to understand why we should love the country in which we live, and what the difference would be somewhere else. I can never listen to this song without remembering the many things he taught us over the years. There have been other soldiers in our family, as well, but we lived with the greatest one I know. Wish he was still here with us. He passed away in 1973, at age 54. My sister has all of his medals. Thanks for reacting to this. HUGS!
Thanks for sharing! I appreciate the sacrifices your dad made.
Thank you and your brothers and sisters for serving this country. Much respect.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
I was crying right along with you.
Such a beautiful and powerful song.
Enjoyed this performance very much; it was awesome! Very emotional for me too! God bless the USA!
Best version yet...hard to top the original, but they did it.
Thanks for your reaction and your service! I'm with you. Tears just show something is important to you. Does my heart good to see others who love our country and pray for it. Thank God for music and the talented men and women who brought this song to us. God Bless the USA!!!
Thank you, I appreciate it. God Bless the USA indeed!
I love this song and I'm not even american... from Mizoram
Adam Rupp's fly over was amazing too. Very emotional
On July 16th it will be 5 years since shootings here in Chattanooga TN. So this hit me even harder.
Great rendition, great reaction. Lee was on fire. Thanks for sharing and thank you for your service.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
I agree, I listen to this everyday to see the reaction of others and I get teary every time. Greatest song
I have watched your reaction to God Bless the USA. The song is definitely the best version I have heard but it's your reaction that brings me back time and time again to watch. Thank you for your service to our country. Thank you for not giving us reaction that you think we want to see but one that really means something to you. God Bless the USA and God bless you.❤❤
Thanks, I appreciate it...yeah, this was from the heart.
They have had over 3.5 million views between Home Free & Fox news!!! GOD BLESS THE USA!!!
The USAF Band UA-cam channel has almost 3 million views as well
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure Wow!!! That's incredible!!!
First and foremost thank you for your service!! This version was wonderful. You should listen to Home Free other songs. God bless you and your fellow soldiers.
Thank you and I've been collecting a list of other Home Free songs to check out
Thanks for what you do!
Loved this reaction video! So genuine and heartfelt!! This is the kind of passion that we need in this country right now! God bless you, and God bless the U.S.A.!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks...I tried to keep my composure for the sake of the video so I could actually comment on it at the end, but I just couldn't...too powerful.
awesome yeah I get emotional with this song as well. There is no greater love than that of a man who is willing to die for his friend. If your were in the military then you exhibited the greatest form of love. Thank you for your service from my humble home in Kentucky. God Bless You.
Thanks. I appreciate it!
Chills and tears!
For sure!
to have emotion is human
Great reaction! This rendition of this song just hits your soul. Home Free is my favorite group because you actually feel all of their songs. Thank you, God Bless!
I do like Man of Constant Sorrow, so I'd be interested to hear their take.
Did you notice like the last note, the beatboxers Adam, made a fly over sound right at the end.
I didn't at first, but caught it on subsequent watches... beautiful touch.
By the way, Lee Greenwood is 77 years old now, and as you said, he killed it!! Oh, and you weren't the only grown man that was affected by this song. I must have watched it a dozen times, and every time it's the same.
Yeah, he brought it to a whole new level.
Im not an American but I got all emotional and chocked up especialiy cause if everything you guys over there are going through . Lovely song.
Yeah...the country is definitely hurting. We need some healing.
What I caught from the beginning of the song is that they we're recording from the different parts of the country the song mentions in the 2nd verse.
Also, the singers who sing each line are from there. Tim`s from Texas, Ron from Minnesota. And so on.
When I was in basic training in the Air Force over 20 years ago, they put on a skit about a soldier being captured, resisting during being questioned, and then escaping. They played this song at the end. It was a lot of fun and was obviously made to make us feel patriotic and good about serving our country, and it worked :)
Yes, the Code of Conduct skit...I remember it well!
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure I couldn't remember the name of it off the top of my head. Thanks for reminding me!
@@Starlesslight when did you go through? I was in August/September of '95
@@BigSwedesExcellentAdventure We went in the same year!
I appreciate it. Easily the best version of the song I've ever heard. It's definitely a powerful song and heavy for me.
Great reaction! Thanks for your service!
Thank you. I appreciate it!
WOW!!!
Good stuff bro! ‘Murica!
This is the way!
My Gosh,this is so majestic!
That castle in Nashville? That's Lee's own home.
This version of this song got to me to. Love this rendition.
Any version of this song gets me, but this one especially.
I was crying at the end with you, man 😭 Such a beautiful song that means so much to me
For sure... such a powerful song

I appreciate that. Thank you.
Big Swede's Excellent Adventure yw but no thanks needed man. You fought for this country. I can’t thank you enough.
Lee sounds great for 75! Home Free and the USAF band were great. Did you hear Adam’s (beatboxer) flyover sound at the end? Tremendous. Thank you for your service. Home Free just released a new patriotic album, Land of the Free. The title track Land of the Free was written by Tim, the bass. It’s good.
