The Lost Valley | Wild Camping Escape.

- This was my first ever wild camping trip to the Lost Valley in Glencoe and it did not disappoint!
The lost valley or hidden valley is a one-of-a-kind special place, tucked away in between the mountains of Glencoe.
Please be aware that the route is a steep and rocky path with some mild scrambling; with great care needed especially in bad or wet weather.

Despite their modest height, walking and climbing in any mountains may be made treacherous by their latitude and exposure to weather systems. Even in summer, conditions can be atrocious; thick fog, strong winds, driving rain and freezing summit temperatures are commonplace.
The content shown in my films are just my own opinions, thoughts and as a way to record my trips. WARNING - Walking and hiking in the mountains & hills can be dangerous and is done entirely at your own risk.

Brilliant. Took a detour off the WHW last week. Spent the night in the valley. Utterly stunning.
Great to hear! Atb
He's back! Great to see you producing world class content again mate!!!
Good to see you up there Ray. I agree like an amphitheater although when I visited it was mostly wet and cloudy. The tent sounds interesting. All the best. Mark
Thanks mate and hope you are keeping well. Watched your latest video and was great stuff. Atb

Nice one Ray, I'm sure you enjoyed a wee whisky in such a great location.
Yes I did. Atb
Good to see you back out Ray. surprised to see you in the Lost Valley though. Apart from the weight I must admit I'm happy with my Rab Alpine 600 bag.
Welcome back Ray. I was in Glencoe about 20 years ago.
Great stuff, the Rayman back oot'n'aboot. Camped there twice , it's better in winter I think but a great place anytime of year. I could see you enjoyed it. Sad about the tent maker dying. The wireless mic seems to work well. See you on the next one.
Brilliant Ray, great to see you back in good form. The first time I walked the Hidden Valley was in 1980 when I was in the Territorials. ( TAVR) , walked in on Saturday, stayed in a butt and Ben in Crianlarich overnight then we done the Aonoch Eagagh ridge on the Sunday , that’s what got me started on hill walking.
Wonderful Ray, always a pleasure to watch your videos and such a great location. Seen a few vids from there recently.
Kind regards.
🍺✌
Yep, everybody had the same idea I think. Atb
Good to see you out ray. Will be interested to see how you get on with the dcf tent. The lack of sewing is certainly attractive. Gordon
Lovely video mate! It was similar to my experience there a few weeks back in calm weather. Next time I’m up that way I’ll give you a shout for a camp👍
Sounds good. Atb
Enjoyed the video Ray best of luck on your tent materials 🤞

Great to see another video of you out and about Ray. It's funny, watching Andrew parks video, and then yours. Watched Bushman and blue up there the other week. Also enjoyed "spotting" you and others in Paul Messners Rab video, you, Bushman, Abbie Barns etc... Welcome back!
Coire Cabhail is my favourite place in Glen Coe, never tire of walking/camping there. nice to see you out and about, good luck with your tent making, hope it works out for you. many thanks for sharing ATB

Great to see you back making videos Ray. 🙂
Brilliant Ray 👏 Quite sad to hear about that guy who makes the tents tragically passing away. That's a shame.

Good to see you back out Ray , so sad about the guy who made the tent . Cracking location and looked so flat ⛺️👍 atb Dave
Thanks 👍
Very enjoyable vlog. Got me really inspired to get out and do something, not the best of weather today so I scaled back my plans and drove round to Harry Gows for a snowball. Exellent recommendation!
Nice one Ray, well done.
Really enjoyed that, my list of places to visit in Scotland is growing by the week! Doing the WHW in June with my son, got some good information from your video on that too. Thanks and take care.
Hope you have a great time. Atb
Camped up here a few weeks ago.. weather wasn't as nice though but was a lovely overnighter
Nice one! Atb
Missed you're videos 😓
I had literally just spoke to my partner earlier today saying I think you'll be back from your break soon
My life is complete. RS liked my comment
Kudos for attempting to build your own tent, I'd recommend you build a prototype in another material before building it in DCF, I've built a few items (tarps, ponchos & drybags) in DCF and the results have been ok, although without a hot welding machine I wouldn't attempt building a tent, it can be done, but it won't be anywhere near as strong or look as clean if you stitch & tape only. Good luck though. ATB.
Thanks for the info. Atb
welcome back
hey- man-Super! superb recording-see u around-
Was that a Stephen's bag I saw the snowball in?
Well spotted ;) Atb
Wow so busy. Did you go at the weekend or during the week. I am planning on going on my first wild camp here at the end of the month on a Fri evening.
It was a Saturday and most weekends are busy if it is good weather. Atb
What is the name of the blue BD tent?
Check out Andrews review of it. ua-cam.com/video/FmCnvZES-Uw/v-deo.html
Great to see you back out and about Ray, and what a stunning location.
