- Hi, I'm Adam and welcome to my channel. Thanks for watching. Today I give Ali a gift I hand made and ask her questions about gifts she's gotten from her EX's. I didn't actually know most of these stories so it was a lot of fun. The plate is a porcelain plate i made on the pottery wheel, I glazed it with a cone 6 celadon and it has a handwritten story on the back i did with a underglaze pencil. It's a cute little plate. I hope you like the video

If you kept the soup spoons you could kintsugi the parts back together, or even use that technique for other ceramics that break

I am actually a potter that LOVE making plates! :-)
For along time I feared them. I heard it was so hard to get right, many would warp or crack, they would take up too much space in the kiln and such. But then at some point I was like, F... that, I will try. And though a serious of tests I found ways and made tools to make plates that actually now makes it very easy and a lot of fin. And, which works really well for me - super fast to do. I think I spend maybe 2-3 minutes to do a plate, including the light trimming I do.
Here is one of my videos where I do plates - how I make them from start to finish. I did actually make some minor improvements to my method after I did this video, but the basic idea is the same ...
