I was gifted a recipe similar to urs around 30 yrs ago and the title was..."Pink Stuff"! (The color it becomes is the name of the recipe😅) It's a simply made recipe but can be adapted with whatever ur fav flavors are. Here's my recipe: (it makes appx 4/6 cps of finished "stuff", it will depend on number of folks u are serving and how much each person eats!! Very easily made smaller or larger, with the amounts added!) For a crowd: 1 lrg mixing bowl 2 lrg containers of small curd Cottage Cheese 2 8oz tubs of Cool Whip 2 6oz boxes of Raspberry Jello (do not add any water, just the powder) Mix the Jello powder into the Cottage Cheese, once well incorporated, add the Cool Whip. Cover with plastic cling wrap, place in the fridge for a couple of hours and it's ready... This can be made a day or two ahead of time, before being served. Letting it sit for a couple of hours/days in the fridge allows the Jello powder to incorporate into the first 2 ingredients so there are no crunchy bits! Here's how u can make it ur own...add whatever flavor of Jello u prefer and add (DRAINED, patted dry) fruit of choice to either contrast or compliment said Jello. (I usually make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas as a side or even as an dessert!!) I love it sooo much that I could eat it with every meal, (appx 21 meals per every 7 days!) For those who don't like the texture of cottage cheese, this, with the cool whip added and the flavor) makes it sooo creamy and 80% of cottage cheese haters go back for seconds!! Thank u to my friend Jill whom gave me this recipe!! Enjoy!! Hugs and hearts from Alaska❤️👩🏼🦳❤️
Watergate Salad 3.4 oz Pistachio Jell-O Instant Pudding mix 20 oz can crushed pineapple 1 cup miniature marshmallows 1/2 cup chopped nuts, your favorite 8 oz container Cool Whip, thawed 1 - Combine pudding mix, pineapple (with juice), marshmallows and nuts in a large bowl and mix well. 2 - Fold in Cool Whip and chill until ready to serve.
In the 1950s jello was Queen in my mother, MiMi’s kitchen. We also had a Jersey cow. My Mom loved making fresh whipped cream in her KitchenAid mixer that Daddy bought while working on the railroad. She would mix that fresh whipped cream with jello and black walnuts. Sometimes she would add pineapple. She called it Angel Fluff and usually took it to the First Baptist Church suppers. I miss you Mom.
My family called it Watergate salad and used pistachio pudding and added pecans and maraschino cherries. I remember another mixture she made with jello, adding cottage cheese and fruit cocktail.
My grandmother had a similar recipe. She said the recipe would call for 72 mini marshmallows, and without fail, she would count all 72 marshmallows. It's a really fond memory watching her as a little girl meticulously counting them and dropping them into the mixing bowl. ☺️
Thank you! I made something similar for 4th of July this year! I used fresh strawberries cut up & fresh blueberries & added cheesecake pudding mix, softened cream cheese (8 oz) & mini marshmallows, and about half a cup of milk. I think the name of it was Red, White & Blue Fluffy Salad. We served it for dessert & it was devoured!
The one I make called for pineapple orange jello, pineapple tidbits and mandarin oranges. You can no longer buy pineapple orange jello so I just buy it individually. Also had cottage cheese with the cool whip.
I turned 65 this year and I remember my mom and her mom making this when I was growing up. They both always added chopped pecans; sometimes they would add coconut flakes or shredded carrots. My wife makes it now for me. My mom had to show her how cause she’s from Illinois and she’d never heard of it! It’s truly a southern dish! Keep the videos coming Meme! We love watching them!
My grandson (the one that sent me your video of strawberry cake) always wants me to make what he calls the pink stuff. It is so easy! Can whole berry cranberry, pineapple, pecans, cream cheese and cool whip. You freeze it. Very refreshing.
I like to add maraschino cherries. It’s really pretty at Christmas with the green Jello. Sometimes I get the pastel colored marshmallows. That makes it really pretty for Easter!
I will have to look for that. I also hate trying to open those cans of pineapple. Usually my husband is here to help, but when not, I am very frustrated.
Cottage cheese instead of marshmallows, and add cherries. The ones in the jar with the juice. Added walnuts instead of pecans. Good stuff! I do drain alot of the juice because otherwise it won't set right in the fridge. Usually have this for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
My favorite! Sure glad I found you, I should be getting your cookbook soon! Can't wait! I must say, the little sounds from the camera person really adds a lot to your already fabulous videos ❤. The little "uhh huh", "mmmm" and little giggles... Lol love it all 😊
That is one of my favorites! A little restaurant here in Georgia had a chicken salad plate on the menu and it came with a big flaky croissant and strawberry fluff. I always ordered that when I went there. Now if I make chicken salad, I always make strawberry fluff to go with it. I do love orange fluff also, but have never tried lime. I know it has to be good too. I bet peach would be really good in the Summer.
My mother and grandmother used to make variations on this recipe. They would always add small curd cottage cheese to theirs to give it more nutritional value. But they'd make it in orange, cherry, lime and even other flavors. It was always a hit at family gatherings. They've both passed now but I continue to make these fluffy salads for our holiday parties in memory of them.
My old church cookbook had a jello salad called Pear Seafoam. It was delish. It had a smashed can of pears, add 1 cup of the pear juice before mashing add 1 package of lime jello dissolve then mix in 2 6oz packages of softened cream cheese with mixer. Cool then add pears, 1 c whipped cream and 2 tables of cream, mix. Can top with more whipped cream and cherries. Thanks for sharing all your recipes.
Hint for opening pull tab cans- insert the handle of a spoon into the pull ring making kind of “T “ handle . Use the handle to pull open so much easier.
I was so tickled when I found your video for this recipe. My tears welled up. My mom was the 4th of 14 kids and she did a lot of the cooking for the family. She was raised in Arkansas and boy was she a good cook. I miss her so much. I always smiled when she said she was making "fluffy stuff". She would add maraschino cherries snd walnuts along with pineapple.
I love that your pretty pink shirt matches the fluffy stuff! Your outfits are always so cute, you've got great fashion sense along with your cooking skills. And your kitchen looks like such a happy place, it's so pretty and I know it's made a lot of delicious meals that are at the heart of many wonderful memories for you and your family!
This is an awesome recipe & will go with any meal hot or cold. Using sugar free jello is brilliant since there is a good bit of sweet ftom the whipped topping & the mini marshmallows. I love the orange creamsicle taste. I achieved it by substituting a 3 oz box of sugar free orange jelllo & a 15 Ounce can of mandarin oranges, which I drained. After I stirred in the mini marshmallows iI add a few tablespoons of the liquid from the mandarin oranges until I was pleased with the consistency. Yummy yummy!!!
We have a similar salad that’s popular in our family. My son named it “Aunt Kristine salad” because she always brought it to family meals. It uses whipped topping, cottage cheese, orange jello powder, crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges. We drained the mandarin oranges otherwise it seems to dilute the whipped topping a bit.
Love your show! My family makes "Pink Stuff". We put a medium container of cottage cheese, a carton of cool whip, strawberry jello, and chopped nuts.. You could leave out the chopped nuts. And you could add your pineapple. Another great version of Fluffy Stuff.
My mother makes a fluffy stuff that has cool whip, strawberry jello, strawberries, cubed angel food cake, and maybe marshmallows. I’m not sure what all is in it, but it’s good.
We call this Hubs' Fluff. Every holiday, he mixes same ingredients, plus one box of vanilla, banana, lemon OR cheesecake pudding (in addition to the gelatin). Makes a thick, almost cheesecake consistency. I've put it in a graham cracker crust on occasion, and it's wonderful served as a pie. We've also made it with orange sections and drained marachino cherries, though simple, straight pineapple is my favorite.
Loved the cold plate! Perfect for those hot nights when you really don’t want to heat up the kitchen. I’m going to make the salad with lime and pineapple, favorite flavor combinations for my family and I’ll take it to our church group Sunday night. My mother always made the orange jello and cottage cheese “fluff” with pineapple because we didn’t have Cool Whip back then but we did have Dream Whip. I have your luncheon cookbook now and can’t wait to try some recipes. ❤ Thank you for being a bright light for Jesus!
I do pistachio instant pudding, crushed pinapple, miniature marshmallows and coolwhip. Mix together and we call it green stuff. Have it every Christmas.
My aunt made her "fluff" with orange Jello, mandarin oranges, coconut and nuts. She put it in the middle of an orange gelatin ring mold, and it was very refreshing. I think it was from the Farm Journal which had wonderful recipes back in the day.
Enjoy your watching your videos love everyday simple meals with surprise with a real nice spread. I've been making these for decades sometimes add shredded coconut in my lime jello also made orange jello with fruit cocktail also with coconut & w/out. My belated aunt made one with slice banana's. All so delicious 😋😊
You look so pretty! What a cute kitchen too. Fluffy Stuff! Another great recipe. 🍮🥮🍨🍡🍧🍫🍰 THIS look very tasty. I will make some this week for a treat. Thank you so much!
Loved the Fluff Show, Mimi! Makes me want to unearth our little Jello Cookbook. Our grandson's favorite 'fluff' is made with unflavored gelatin, heated with water and sugar, cooled, with sour cream and since it's the Dairy State, this grandma uses whipped cream. For those savvy enough, it's formed into a circular jello mold, decanted, and served with red fruit sauce in the center. This grandma doesn't trust her molded salad skills so it's served in a festive bowl and we skip the red fruit sauce. No red dye involved but really, no need to gild the lily. It's all about the Fluff. Served with a very large spoon. 😊
I do a kind of Ambrosia salad with fruit cocktail and cool whip. I don’t put coconut in it though. I put chopped apples, dates and pecans. Everybody loved it.
💕💕Talbots💕💕 I’ve been watching for awhile now, so many things you do or say remind me of my grandma. But today when you said Talbots I knew exactly what it was! My grandma shopped there for a great deal of her clothes, she loved that store…it’s that Talbots look that was getting me!❤ Thank you for your sweet videos, I really enjoy them and I just adore you!
Your pink striped top looks fantastic with your pink fluffy stuff salad! I made it using the lime gelatin though, and added finely chopped pecans. Yum-o! Wish we were neighbors so I could come watch you cook in person!
I put 1 small box of patchio pudding and 1 large can of fruit cocktail and 1 large can crushed pineapple do not drain and 2 cups mini marshmallows and 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 8oz cantaner of whipped toping or cool whip. It's called Watergate salad.
Hello there MeMe. It is always so good to see you. I absolutely love this fluff and stuff. I'm a diabetic so I can't have a lot of sugar. So by using sugar free jello mix would be great. Thanks for everything you do. May God bless you and keep you safe and healthy where ever you go
That sure makes your plate pretty 💕 and I love jello salads! Cherry with those teeny tiny chocolate chips, or if you could find chocolate mini marshmallows!!!!
Love your show ! You are down to earth, and use everyday products !!!! ❤ can’t handle those cooks , who use long complicated recipes. And precise everything ! Your way is actually the modern way ! How do we get your cookbook ? 😊
The green Fluffy Stuff reminds me of the Watergate Salad that came into popularity in the 70's and I loved it! A couple of years ago I made it for my husband and 2 sons and they did not like it so much. Boo hoo--I miss it and wonder if I'll ever taste it again! Glad your family likes it. Easy side dishes are wonderful to add to a meal!
Hi Mrs MeMe! For Thanksgiving and Christmas my mom use to make a Jello Mold using, lime jello, crushed pineapples and sour cream. It was very delicious. That's what your recipe reminded me of. Thanks for sharing, I'll give your recipe a try. 😊
When our children were still at home I made this with Cool Whip, canned cherry pie filling, marshmallows, and pineapple chunks. We all loved it every once in a while.
Used to work at a place down in Mobile Alabama, we would have pineapple fluff on the desert menu quite often but it came in a bucket and i never knew exactly what was in it but omg it was amazing, ive seen many versions but never exactly like it. I miss the Hickory Pit's food!
I love fluffy stuff. We call it fluff! I've made an orange jello with crushed pineapple, mandarin oranges and a handful of coconut, is wonderful with the whipped topping and marshmallows.
Miss Meme your cooking videos are simply wonderful! Thank you and your videographer (family member) so very much. God bless you and keep you safe, peaceful and joyful🙏💕👏 Greetings from Minnesota.
I have made a similar salad to this for a lot of years. I use instant pistachio pudding mix in it rather than jello. We always called it Watergate Salad.
MeMe, I am new to your channel, I have sooooo enjoyed watching you and you remind me so much of my mother. You are a precious lady, thank you for sharing! Blessings!🦋
Oh my word these all sound so good. Thank you for sharing your recipes. So until next time God Bless you all and have a Blessed day and stay safe my dear and Special Friends.
My family calls this fluffy nothing. We always use green lime , pineapple and pecans. I just found your channel and really enjoy watching you and getting new ideas. I'm from a small-town in upstate SC. Your accent reminds me of when I lived in Florence. Where in SC are you.
I make this all the time! I make it with two bowls of whipped topping, one large or two small boxes of pistachio pudding and an entire regular sized can of pineapple. Sometimes I put marshmallows sometimes I don’t. But I’ll take it to work to share and have something to snack on during a busy shift. ☺️
Be careful. I only have one cookbook right now. Only available on my webpage. www.memesrecipessc.com We are low on stock but receiving more stock each week.
wow, so many varieties! my mom got a version of this recipe in the 60's i think. it called for one small strawberry jello, one small container of cool whip, one small cottage cheese, one small can of crushed pineapple and one small can of mandarin oranges, drained. she said it was easy to remember because you just got one small of each item. however, as most of us know, small then and small now are rarely the same. jello pkgs for instance used to be 4 ozs, not 3 ozs as they are now - and these reduced can & pkg sizes can wreak havoc when we try our mom's and grandma's recipes! (think campbell's soup recipes - not the same because there's less soup now and it changes the flavor!!) BUT with this one - it's so easy to double, triple, experiment with - and i've never had a bad one! it's also easy to test taste as you go along. so what i finally settled on (we also have this at thanksgiving and big family dinners) i just get a large cottage cheese, lg whipped topping, lg jello (or two small and may bot use it all), one or two lg cans of pineapple tidbits, and either 4 smallish cans mandarin oranges or 2 big (all fruit drained together). what i've discovered is you can put a lot more fruit in there than it calls for! AND the one thing i hold back on towards the end is the whipped topping - for our tastes, we don't always add the entire thing. we like ours with lots of cottage cheese, while the jello and plenty of fruit bring in the sweetness. of course, that's just me. my daughter likes to use all the whipped topping. we've always just called it pink salad ; ) My mom and my gramma have both gone to be with Jesus, so I enjoy your down home talk and good cooking so much MeMe!!
I do the exact same recipe but with pistachio pudding, so it's green and has the nuts "built in." I love your videos and recipes! And especially that you shine for Jesus!
I didn't read all the comments to know if someone already told you this, but you can use a " smooth edge" can opener with pull top cans. It opens below the edge of the can so it never hits the ring pull. Or at least I've been able to use it with the cans I have opened. If you haven't used a that type of can opener before it can take a few tries to get the hang of it. I will also use a can opener ring pull - not sure what they're called but if you do a search for that you'll get the idea. I have arthritis in my hands and am able to use both tools with ease.
I am new to your Channel, you are just a delight!! This recipe looks great especially for summer. How can we get your cookbook? Have a blessed day!!❤️❤️
I make many different flavors of this fluffy stuff salad. My great grandmother called it the same. Orange sugar free jello, mandarin oranges, sugar free cool whip, mini marshmallows, with walnuts and a zest of mandarin peel. My grandma used everything but mini marshmallows and substituted with cottage cheese. Both are really good.
Mine is quite similar to this. I omit the marshmallows I use the raspberry or the cherry jello instead of the strawberry one and I add cottage cheese and chopped fresh fruits of your choice. I like to do apples, bananas, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, maraschino cherries, etc. the great thing about it is that you don’t need to have a ton of fruit to do it cause a little bit of each fruit will in the end will fill one of those large bbq aluminum buffet tins. Because it makes so much I tend to make it for bbq’s or get togethers. Most everyone loves it especially my nephews and they tend to call it the pink stuff sometimes.
We have made this same salad in our family for years, only we add a can of strawberry pie filling to the strawberry jello and a few fresh strawberries. Yes you can tweek it different ways and it still turns out good!
Yes, that’s exactly how my Mamaw made hers-with fruit cocktail, plus mini marshmallows and Cool-Whip. Everyone loved it especially the kids. My great, great aunt made different variations and hers were good too. It’s always a hit and I love the nostalgia ❤
It wouldn’t be a holiday meal here in Massachusetts without Auntie Val’s Green Sh!t, aka pistachio pudding fluff salad. Hers was whipped topping, pistachio pudding mix, a larger well-drained can of crushed pineapple, and no nuts because her daughter didn’t like them. For the Fourth this year I made a version with a fortified whipped cream/cream cheese mix and it was really good. Auntie Val has been gone for 12 years now but she lives on with this salad and plenty of good memories.
In uk we wouldn't add the fruit salad/cream to plate of savoury but I'm really anxious to give it a try, just got to find equivalent to the cream. Love your cooking, I've only just found you. I'm doing pork and rice tonight and steak and gravy tomorrow. I'm not young cook but there's always another twist to make things interesting, never to old to learn. X
To this I add soft cream cheese to the lime jello first or maybe pistachio pudding. Then I finish off with multi-color miniature marshmellows, optional coconut too. It is so pretty that my friend served it at her wedding reception dinner.
My mother's recipe included Black Cherry Jello as its base then calls for crushed pineapple, mandarin oranges, 1/4-cup of sweetened shredded coconut, jar of maraschino cherries, 1/2-cup of toasted black walnuts, and sometimes she would add either white or red seedless grapes -- whipped topping and marshmallows were the same as your recipe.
Just a tip for you darlin, if you flip the can over you can open it with your can opener as long as the bottom of the can isn't rounded, like some are. Hope that helps you out since I prefer the same, thanks for the videos!! God bless
And just like that ~ you have Miss Connie and this old truck driver eating Fluffy Stuff... So now I have pink Fluffy Stuff in my beard... Miss Connie has fallen asleep and I need to sneak another bowl.. Love watching your videos.. I need to order Miss Connie your cookbook...
My mom made a versiong every holiday, picnic or BBQ. Only she also added cottage cheese and maraschino in place of the pineapple. Mom is gone now but my sister is now the keeper of the Fluff salad. It's a food tradition that we just can't let go.
My mother and grandmother always made this in the summertime when I was a kid. They'd make it in a cake pan with a graham cracker crust and chilled it.. I don't think they added jello, but did have the pineapple, marshmallows and cool whip. They also added chopped walnuts and maraschino cherries. They called it "Heavenly Hash. "
I do an orange salad, using orange jello and mandarin oranges (drained), plus the whipped topping and the marshmallows. Delicious.
that sounds really good need to try it

1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped nuts, your favorite
8 oz container Cool Whip, thawed
1 - Combine pudding mix, pineapple (with juice), marshmallows and nuts in a large bowl and mix well.

I make the pistachio pudding, pecans, pinapple chunks and cherries with whip topping and call it Kermit's fluffy stuff : )
We would do the Watergate Salad, no nuts as not everyone liked nuts, but also added Mandarin orange slices (drained).
Growing up in Central Illinois we made the same salads! Delicious!

I do pistachio instant pudding, crushed pinapple, miniature marshmallows and coolwhip. Mix together and we call it green stuff. Have it every Christmas.
So funny. My mother made this and that's what we called it too 😊

The possibilities are endless!!
Have made this twice with your cookbook recipe. Loved it!
It's so versatile.... so many flavors you could make it!
I knew you were a Talbots girl. I use to work for them. Love their clothes!
The best!
Me, too!
You look so pretty! What a cute kitchen too. Fluffy Stuff! Another great recipe. 🍮🥮🍨🍡🍧🍫🍰 THIS look very tasty. I will make some this week for a treat. Thank you so much!
Thank you!!
Thank You for sharing. I will Definitely add the Green dessert to my recipes. So perfect for St. Patrick's Day. Love from Ireland ☘❤.
Hope you enjoy
Thank you once again for your genuine goodness. You make me so relaxed and inspired. Bless you!
Thank you MeMe for sharing your simple and delicious fluffy stuff. Can't wait to try them!
I do a kind of Ambrosia salad with fruit cocktail and cool whip. I don’t put coconut in it though. I put chopped apples, dates and pecans. Everybody loved it.
Yum! 😋
Luv your retro fluffy stuff, MeMe!💕 Thanks for sharing with us!
Blessings.
Thank you! 🤗👍🏻🙂❤️😋
💕💕Talbots💕💕
I’ve been watching for awhile now, so many things you do or say remind me of my grandma. But today when you said Talbots I knew exactly what it was! My grandma shopped there for a great deal of her clothes, she loved that store…it’s that Talbots look that was getting me!❤
Thank you for your sweet videos, I really enjoy them and I just adore you!
Thank you so much, and thanks for watching!!

Your pink striped top looks fantastic with your pink fluffy stuff salad! I made it using the lime gelatin though, and added finely chopped pecans. Yum-o! Wish we were neighbors so I could come watch you cook in person!
I love it with the lime as well! ❤️
May God bless you and keep you safe and healthy where ever you go
Thanks for watching!!😋🙂
That sure makes your plate pretty 💕 and I love jello salads! Cherry with those teeny tiny chocolate chips, or if you could find chocolate mini marshmallows!!!!
Love your show ! You are down to earth, and use everyday products !!!! ❤ can’t handle those cooks , who use long complicated recipes. And precise everything ! Your way is actually the modern way ! How do we get your cookbook ? 😊
Cooking doesn't have to be complicated to be good! Thank you for watching!!

This Fluffy Stuff recipe looks so delicious 😋 Ms. MeMe.
My grandma used to make this when I was a kid. Always the holidays. This stuff is yummy.. Love your honey pots on your counter.
Thanks so much
The green Fluffy Stuff reminds me of the Watergate Salad that came into popularity in the 70's and I loved it! A couple of years ago I made it for my husband and 2 sons and they did not like it so much. Boo hoo--I miss it and wonder if I'll ever taste it again! Glad your family likes it. Easy side dishes are wonderful to add to a meal!
Yes they are!!
Would love to have your cookbook

What an excellent recipe! This is perfect for making with our young granddaughters! Thank you!
You are so welcome!🙂😋
Hi Mrs MeMe! For Thanksgiving and Christmas my mom use to make a Jello Mold using, lime jello, crushed pineapples and sour cream. It was very delicious. That's what your recipe reminded me of. Thanks for sharing, I'll give your recipe a try. 😊
Please do. Hope you enjoy.👍🏻😋🙂❤️
When our children were still at home I made this with Cool Whip, canned cherry pie filling, marshmallows, and pineapple chunks. We all loved it every once in a while.
Looks wonderful 😊
Used to work at a place down in Mobile Alabama, we would have pineapple fluff on the desert menu quite often but it came in a bucket and i never knew exactly what was in it but omg it was amazing, ive seen many versions but never exactly like it.
I miss the Hickory Pit's food!
Play around with ingredients and flavors. I bet you can recreate it!! : ) Thanks for watching!!
I love fluffy stuff. We call it fluff! I've made an orange jello with crushed pineapple, mandarin oranges and a handful of coconut, is wonderful with the whipped topping and marshmallows.
That sounds yummy!!
Looks felio!!! Enjoyed this video!! Your are so comical!! Makes us all smile and chuckle!! Your such a Blessing 😊
😊 thank you🤭🤣
I’ve made marshmallows salad with green pistachios pudding with small can fruit cocktail! Love your recipes! And love you.❤️
Sounds great!
I make the green salad often. I put in cottage cheese, no marshmallows. Love it.
Miss Meme your cooking videos are simply wonderful! Thank you and your videographer (family member) so very much. God bless you and keep you safe, peaceful and joyful🙏💕👏 Greetings from Minnesota.
Thank you so much
I make this but I substitute cottage cheese in place of the marshmallows. Love your videos!😊
Didn’t see your cookbook on Amazon today. Sounds delicious. I’ll keep looking for it.

I make this with lime jello. My children call it “Elephant Snot Salad!” If you want this over the top make real whipping cream. Yummm..
Well that is definitely a unique name for the recipe!! That made me giggle! Thank you for watching!!
😄😄😄
I have made a similar salad to this for a lot of years. I use instant pistachio pudding mix in it rather than jello. We always called it Watergate Salad.
MeMe, I am new to your channel, I have sooooo enjoyed watching you and you remind me so much of my mother. You are a precious lady, thank you for sharing! Blessings!🦋
Thank you so much
Oh my word these all sound so good. Thank you for sharing your recipes. So until next time God Bless you all and have a Blessed day and stay safe my dear and Special Friends.
Thank you! You too!
My family calls this fluffy nothing. We always use green lime , pineapple and pecans. I just found your channel and really enjoy watching you and getting new ideas. I'm from a small-town in upstate SC. Your accent reminds me of when I lived in Florence. Where in SC are you.
I am from the SC Lowcountry but have been living in the upstate for 40+ years.
Great snack!!!
I just ordered both your cookbooks. Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes.
Be careful. I only have one cookbook right now. Only available on my webpage. www.memesrecipessc.com
We are low on stock but receiving more stock each week.
Both look great. I wonder if you could add maraschino cherry’s to the green one for Christmas dessert to make it look festive. 😊
wow, so many varieties! my mom got a version of this recipe in the 60's i think. it called for one small strawberry jello, one small container of cool whip, one small cottage cheese, one small can of crushed pineapple and one small can of mandarin oranges, drained. she said it was easy to remember because you just got one small of each item. however, as most of us know, small then and small now are rarely the same. jello pkgs for instance used to be 4 ozs, not 3 ozs as they are now - and these reduced can & pkg sizes can wreak havoc when we try our mom's and grandma's recipes!
Thanks for watching!!
This is so good!! I made it tonight with the strawberrry jello, and added the pecans… so easy to make a treat on a long day after work. Thank you!
Wonderful! So glad you enjoyed it!!
I do the exact same recipe but with pistachio pudding, so it's green and has the nuts "built in." I love your videos and recipes! And especially that you shine for Jesus!
Awesome! Thank you!😋👍🏻🙂❤️🙏🏻 Please subscribe.
Love it! It was always Pink Fluff if pink; Watergate Salad if green and Mandarin salad when orange. Always good!
Thank you so much for the suggestion!!
U can also use wooden spoon handle in ring instead of your finger.
My mom's version used Cool Whip, cherry jello, no marshmallows, a can of cherry pie filling and pecans.
We do that one, but we also use the crushed pineapple in it. We don't use the jello in it though so I need to try that version. Yum
Please show the page of the recipe book for at least ten seconds so that your audience can pause and read it. Thank you.
I am new to your Channel, you are just a delight!! This recipe looks great especially for summer. How can we get your cookbook? Have a blessed day!!❤️❤️
Thank you for watching!! Welcome to my kitchen! www.memesrecipessc.com
Have made Orange as well as Strawberry, shared with neighbors, was delish!
Every Christmas we made the "pink stuff" the same way you made it...but we added cherries, coconut, and pecans. Thanks for the memory! ❤
Sounds great!👍🏻😋🙂❤️
Please subscribe.
So many ways to change this up!!
you are the cutest thing I have ever seen! Thanks for your fun and informative vids:)
Thanks for watching!!
Yes, that’s exactly how my Mamaw made hers-with fruit cocktail, plus mini marshmallows and Cool-Whip. Everyone loved it especially the kids. My great, great aunt made different variations and hers were good too. It’s always a hit and I love the nostalgia ❤
Sounds great!😋🙂❤️
It wouldn’t be a holiday meal here in Massachusetts without Auntie Val’s Green Sh!t, aka pistachio pudding fluff salad.
I just found your channel yesterday. I really enjoy it. I will be buying your cookbook.
Welcome to my kitchen!!
Thank you for watching! Good luck with the recipes! I love trying new recipes too.
To this I add soft cream cheese to the lime jello first or maybe pistachio pudding. Then I finish off with multi-color miniature marshmellows, optional coconut too. It is so pretty that my friend served it at her wedding reception dinner.
Great idea!
I'm going ready to make your stuff. I hope my comes out as yours. You're are fanatic.
I can't find pineapple tidbits here in Southern California! It's a shame. ❤ Thank you for sharing!
What in the world? It always amazes me what is available where....
Yum!
I need to order Miss Connie your cookbook...
www.memesrecipessc.com
My mom made a versiong every holiday, picnic or BBQ. Only she also added cottage cheese and maraschino in place of the pineapple. Mom is gone now but my sister is now the keeper of the Fluff salad. It's a food tradition that we just can't let go.
😋
My mother and grandmother always made this in the summertime when I was a kid. They'd make it in a cake pan with a graham cracker crust and chilled it.. I don't think they added jello, but did have the pineapple, marshmallows and cool whip. They also added chopped walnuts and maraschino cherries. They called it "Heavenly Hash. "
I love a good cold plate for lunch in the summer! Yum!
Me too!!
Your cold plate looks pretty and delicious!
Thank you 😋🙂❤️
