These bulbs finally burnt out after 3 years of use. They were great while they lasted, here is a video update on how they looked after 3 years. ua-cam.com/video/rvu-m8FfxsQ/v-deo.html
WOW! I am so glad I just found this video while doing a search on changing my car bulb. I bought the kit and am excited to changing to LED. Thank you for making this video.
I watched like 20 videos trying to figure out the HID, HALOGEN and LED Headlights Game and understand it. This video gave me more information than the other 19 combined thanks!! :D
I had this done to my ‘15 Altima yesterday. The installer just pulled back the splash guard after turning the tires so he had access. He’s done this hundred of times, but doing both headlights took him less than 10 minutes!
This was just a good quality video, in a sea of UA-cam crap I have been looking for a straight forward video about leds and how the install\look\perform and I think you did a good job. You were also using the same LED kit I have been looking at so worked out even better. Thanks again. Shoot us an update if you get around to it, I would like to know how thy are almost 2 months in.
Thanks for the comment. The bulbs are still going strong after 2 months and bunch of freezing days. They may not be as bright as HIDs but they look stock and are sufficient for me.
Original equipment HID bulbs (i.e. Factory fitted) normally seem to last over 10 years. In over 14 years working at a main dealer I have sold 3 HID bulbs, and one of them was warranty and classed as 'infantile failure.' In that same period of 14 years we had 1 car come in with aftermarket HID bulbs, and it had one failed bulb. So yes, aftermarket HID bulbs do not last long, but then the kit costs £50, and the factory bulbs cost £176.00 each, so you do indeed get what you pay for.
Did you mention anything about the heat generated at the base of LED's? Heat at the base is much higher at that area, that is why there is a fan but when using them for a long period of item, they can generate enormous amounts of heat at the base.
A question, you kept the high beam halogens. Will the heat from the high beams degrade the life of the new LED headlight bulbs? In order words will you need to replace both High/Low to prevent the heat from being a factor. You may not use your high beams for long period of time, but I am curious as to your experience so far.
Mike S The High beam is definitely further away in its own housing and also wont be getting used much. The heat from that shouldn't affect the LED at all. BTW the LED is still going strong and the built in fans are great for cooling.
I also have a 2014 Altima and was looking to upgrade the mediocre halogens in my fogs and projectors with LED lights. I watched your video and was happy with your results. I bought the 4th generation of the LED bulbs that you bought with a slightly higher lumen output and let me tell you they are great! They aren't as bright as HID but they are significantly brighter than halogen. The color temperature is about 6000k with hints of blue. The good things about LED over HID are: Instant on (no waiting for them to warm up), no flickering, and "auto on" headlights always fire the headlights up (and fogs); with HID this doesn't always happen. I can't speak about longevity because I have only had a few weeks with them, but they're doing well so far. jjcentral thank you for the video it was informative and well made.
Been looking for something like this - excellent video. Would it be easier to remove the Altima bumper to replace the headlamp with this LED? I went in through the wheel well for the HIDs but really dont want to do that again. Also, do they have LEDs for tail lights?
Dropping the bumper would be harder. The process jjcentral described can be further simplified by just rotating the wheel away from where you're doing the work instead of removing it.
I have a 2013 Nissan Altima. I am trying to change the stock halogens to LED. I am trying to get the 4th generation bulbs. Can you please tell me which bulb size I need ? your video shows ths 2014 Altima, but I can't image the 2013 model bulb size being any different from the 2014 one. Thank you very much.
What exact lights have the brightest output is there even brighter than what you used . Good video btw man ! Very good instructions now ik how to do this
Would you say these are an improvement in brightness over the stock bulbs? I'm not looking for a huge improvement I just like the color better than the yellow flash light look of the halogen. Also, how is it driving in the rain with these?
I just installed some katana h-11 12000 lumens 6000k light I do not have any type of output as you do I have the lights in but the chips facing 93 and that little divider facing 12 + 6 or am I crazy
how did it workedout for you so far? what's your opinion on the product? does it really make a difference on the road at night? does it flicker at all?? trying to get some but I wanna get something I can trust,
Hi, thanks for your video very precise and detailed, I am interested in installing these lights on my 2014 altima but I want to know if they are legally permitted, had problems or tickets? thanks..
Great video. I just did the swamp on my wifes altima in an hour. However, LEDs suck compared to HIDs. This was my first time going HID and I have to say if was to do it again i would use HIDs. They put out ALOT more light, where the LEDs put out just as much as the stock halogens only a crystal white light rather than orange. Go HID or your wasting your time
apr4343 install LEDs for your high beams and HIDs for the low beams. I installed the LEDs on my lows, which are the projector lens and couldnt see 25 feet in front of me out in the country. Had to switch back to HIDs on the projector and the did LEDs on high beam.
Hi JJCentral i have a question about your video.Your showing LED conversion on 2013 to 2015 so my question is will the method you use to access and replace the hi and low beams work the same way on a 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5s? Your hi quality video is very good and i have not found a video better than yours so KUDOS to you young man. I really appreciate your efforts on making this video so i hope the process is the same for my Altima. Thanks again and i look forward to your reply.Harry Lato
I have 2015 Nissan Altima with Halogen Bulbs, I would like to change to LED lights. I just with dealer, they said as conversion kit is required before fitting the LED bulbs. Do you think conversion kit is requireD?
Thank you. I couldn’t find the same product on amazon. Can you please provide the link? Is this compatible for 2015 Nissan Altima ? What is the difference between HID and LED, which is better ?
pabhishek 1010 Any H11 LED bulb will work. Check out my other video with the update for this LED after 3 years. That video had the new bulb link in the description. Thanks.
+Tony BadCuda 15 months later still working great, Its the second winter now on these bulbs, No flickering, fans are still working good, worth every penny.
+jjcentral That's the good think about making UA-cam videos. Most intelligent folks can contact you years down the road and ask you how their still doing. Most underlying reviews like on "Amazon" on products. Start out " I just got these."
Hello there, I am confused in between the 4000 lumen and the 6000 lumen versions. Do you think the 6000 lumen will be too bright and be illegal? Or will the 4000 do the job?
***** Higher the lumens, better in every way. The one I have (2000) seems to be on the dimmer side. 4000 (my pick) or 6000 should be good, but make sure you have a projector and your headlights are pointing correctly downward. Thanks.
Thanks, I already ordered these. I actually didn't want to try anything new. Cz I've already bought and returned some other. Thats why i wanted to try some tested thing for now. Thanks again.
First of all great video. Nice tutorial. I had this same model car of the Altima. The very first night that I had this car, I thought the lights were not on. The stock lights in this model car are beyond terrible. Not only that, the front directionals are at the bottom of the front bumper. No one you are driving behind will ever see the turn signal. Just a terrible design by Nissan on this year model car. Putting the LED bulbs would seem to be a lot better than the stock.
Agreed the stock halogens on this particular model are beyond atrocious lol, almost hit a deer on back road the first night I got the car haha, switched to HID almost immediately
I can't see shit with them LED's and I tried all of them. None of them are as good as HIDs. LEDs definitely still have a long way to go before they actually achieve the same brightness as HIDs. The only pro about LEDs is that its instant on and off.
Great vid, the only thing that concerns me is in the case of fan failure on the LED bulb what acts as the fuse? the LED light itself I'm hoping and not anything else that will fry the circuits.
Any of the car audio stores would do the job. Not sure which part of MD you are in, but search for "car audio" in google maps. You will see a lot of them.

+C Jahmal actually this guy took longer than it should. Instead of taking the wheel off and doing all the things he did, all he had to do was just turn the wheels to onside to give you room. Side Note: taking off a wheel is your reasoning for NOT buying a car? Strange. Considering how wont need to access the lights often it’s not that big of a deal. Besides he took the wheel off for simplicity sake.
Well, hopefully you have AAA or never get a flat in any make/model, and as everyone else already stated - you don’t have to remove the wheel. Why would someone who thinks something as basic as what is required to change a flat is such a BIG deal or reason to not buy a certain car even change their own headlights in the first place? Easy fix - just pay someone to do it. Which is exactly the reason for so much “deliberate stupid engineering” in hopes that millions of people like you will go into the dealership for every little thing or even to change a simple light bulb.

@harsharya27 No, 2016 is when they introduced DRL in Altima.
@harsharya27 If your SL came with halogens, then definitely replace with H11 LED. amzn.to/3GOIDhH

The wheels don't need to come off you just need to turn the steering wheel to shift the wheel out of the way.

My 2014 Kia Forte LX headlight housing has dust caps that enclose the H11 bulbs and don't think these will fit my application =(...
i have an elantra. your soposed to drill holes in the dust cap so it will fit
Hi there, it has been about a year since you installed the LED headlights. I just recently bought the 2015 Altima, Are those LED's still working?
I'm curious about this too. Any issues with them?
Which one is whiter (not blue, not yellowish) ?
What trim Altima do they work on? Also, is the link the exact ones you purchased?
I have 2015 Nissan Altima with Halogen Bulbs, I would like to change to LED lights. I just with dealer, they said as conversion kit is required before fitting the LED bulbs. Do you think conversion kit is requireD?

Hi! Which model of LED bulb is that? Which model is tick at the side box? H11?
H7
Your in Maryland??? Have you joined the DMVAltima page on facebook?
Are these halogen projectors? How's the cut off?
Original Lamps have a range about 35 meters with 1650 lumens. What the LED range? Tks
3500k same like HID

What about the high-beam lights. Can you not change them to led?
Yes. They can be changed too...
Where can i get the same kit
what size did you purchase
excellent video thanks
were can get this headlights from I been looking for them
What's the bulb number for example h11 or 9007?
Hey I'm looking into buying a used 2013 or 2014 altima and I wanted to know if have had any issues or problems with the altima
I would take a look at the nissanclub.com forum. There were lot of transmission issues with the 2013s. 2014 and above seems to be good.
Will they show a warning light on the cluster ??!!
+Erick Cid No they don't show because there is a load on the circuit, unlike the turn signal getting swapped with LED.
Hi,
What about rain driving visibility?
Wouldnt that damage the headlight assembly ?
Absolutely not, it operates in far less temperature than halogen.
i installed LEDS on my 2010 Altima but i did not take off the tires
i think it wasn't necessary for him either
What about your high light
What do you mean "on a projector"?
It means there is a little ball like lens housing inside the headlight called the projector light.
Helpful how to video. Thank you for posting!
can you send me the Amazon link please and would they fit on a 2013 nissan altima s?
www.amazon.com/LASFIT-Headlight-Bulbs-7600LM-Philips/dp/B01EYQ86OW.
Try this LED bulbs and you will get 20% discount with the code: ER20FF05
Highlights?
What size are the highbeams?
H9
Great video! I have a 2015 altima S. Are you thinking of putting fog lights on yours? If so please make a video :)
Does this replace the both high and low beams?
They both are separate bulbs, I just replaced the low beams in the video. You can do both at the same time if you want. Procedure is the same.
jjcentral
Cool. Thanks for your vid. This is the first one and most complete I've seen for explaining the installation.
would this work on a 2015 altima.. Thanks
Yes. 2013-2015. They are the same exact car.
Hi, I have a question for you. Are you still using these LED's? I'm actually considering to get and install them. Are you satisfied with these?
Yes, they work great. However there has been two updated versions after this one. You might want to try them.
Thanks, I already ordered these. I actually didn't want to try anything new. Cz I've already bought and returned some other. Thats why i wanted to try some tested thing for now. Thanks again.
Hi have you had any issues with these since they should now be over two years old? Are they still working well? Great video by the way.
They are still working 2+ years and don't feel the need to change them. There are several newer models now in the market.
Cool stuff! I think I'll convert my 2016 Altima.
How long do those bulb last?
Jermarian Montgomery 7 months going strong. Highly recommend them.
Nice. I like it. What about the range? Is it the same of halogen ?
Yes, the range and pattern seems to be exactly matching the halogen.
jjcentral how is that an upgrade then?
Why not just remove the battery for access?
you should do a fog light video
i tried finding them on amazon and i couldn't can you help me with a link thank you and advance
The link is on the description of the video. Thanks.
can you please send me the links so I could buy it from Amazon

Whats the best place in MD to get HID installed?
Any of the car audio stores would do the job. Not sure which part of MD you are in, but search for "car audio" in google maps. You will see a lot of them.
jjcentral Thanks! I think I found an installer))
***** I already got them from The Retrofit Source.

I'm I the only one who's wondering why anyone would buy a car that requires taking off a tire to change a light bulb?
+C Jahmal actually this guy took longer than it should. Instead of taking the wheel off and doing all the things he did, all he had to do was just turn the wheels to onside to give you room. The original bulbs are so dim you cant see if its on or off most of the time. Whoever made 2013 def deserves a slap or two!
the 08-12 Malibu you gotta take off the whole bumper
Jake Nabut I just bought a 2017 Altima and I can say they need to slapped once from the 2017 crows too! I bought the car one month ago and am already ready to replace the bulbs!
really you don't have to take the tire off to change the bulb. Its just easier to see with the camera.

Great video.Thank you!
Good job for your experience.
Great video ... thank you🍒
Well done video.
What am I doing wrong
And I have the same car as you 2014 Nissan Altima s
OMG I'm not buying an Altima.. you need to take the wheels out to replace the bulb?? That's madness!
+Shirshak Tamrakar you don't have to remove the wheels.... I did it by simply turning the wheel and pulling the wheel well over... took 5 minutes.
+peteypoobear can you show a video for that? taking the wheels off is a hassle
