Very helpful 3 year follow up. I spoke to the service department at my Nissan dealer today, and asked him to put in LED headlights for me, he was not even sure he could do it!!!! Surely someone must have done this upgrade at the shop before! Anyway, thanks for posting this!
I have since done extensive research on this and looked into it more carefully. It turns out that you are not allowed to legally convert your halogen lights into LED lights. Even if you want to, you are not legally allowed to do so. The car must either come equipped with the LED lights or not. Believe me, I wanted to put in the LED lights, but it could not be legally done. In the end I wound up replacing the headlamp assemblies on the Nissan Altima, and putting in brand new Sylvania halogen lights.
Hey thanks for the video Very helpful. I would like to buy the same ones but the only ones that I have found available are called lightening dark H13. Are these the same ones your using? Or do you know if these will work on my 2015 altima . Thanks in advance
tbh the original led lights on the nissan altima are very low and dont really illuminate nothing im going to try this out i hope they last a long time p.s our altima is 2014 / its 2018 and its led lights are still working fine i just need a brighter light
@@MicMurphy1981 there is a class action lawsuit and Nissan is supposed to replace the head light assembly! We’re still waiting! I’m about to go buy aftermarket lenses
JJ or anyone who can respond.... Don't you have to change Low and High rather than have one yellow and one white light... and if so does anyone has video and link for it. But if it should only be one that you would be changing then please someone let me know.
@@Ron-h4l the look of them is the problem for most people who change. I lot of people like the look of led and not all Altima come with LED. I just got one yesterday and I'm already looking for different bulbs. The stock bulbs just look super square and corny. To me. Just my opinion though

Due to liability they won't do LED. They are required to stick to OEM replacements which is halogen.

You replace the high beams with LEDs?
What is the name of the new ones you installed? The link doesn't work anymore 😕. Are they still working 2 years later?

I believe what I got is a H11, that link is not working do some searching to find their latest model. Thanks.
I do have LED in my car just saying if they burn out in 3 years going back to Regular bulbs.
Ok. Good....
Thanks. What did you do with the ballast? Did you mount it somehow?
Lincoln Miller if you have a ballast, just zip tie it to a dry vibration less spot. You can also use double side tape to stick it somene where.
Hey, are these Low/Hi also or just Low?

Are the headlamps oem halogen or HID?
OEM was halogen, very dim. Upgraded to LED.
Is it 5kLm per bulb? 10000lm total?
Very bright?.
You like it still?
P. K. Check the update video. Thanks.
Nice
Where can I purchase these at
Great video,!!!
Did you get a (low beam) warning on your dashboard?
For switching the stock halogen bulb?
No, not for these LED headlights bulbs. No dash light comes on because the LED fan still draws current.
try to turn on the high beams
I'm looking at getting these bulbs for my 2017 Altima. How are they performing for you? Any issues?
Phil Lopez They are much brighter than the old one and way better than stock. The color is little towards blue than white.
I have a 2016 and I have hids and they aren't good with projectors

I almost never use high beam, so only low beam is what I changed.
@@JJCentral-DIY Thanks for a quick reply
If they only last 3years that sucks would just stick with stock Regular bulbs much cheaper.
john1240able it doesn't suck when they only 60$ and last 3 years plus makes your car look better !
J Jay I got same same car got stock bulbs for 8.00 buck way cheaper then led.
