That elderly gentleman at the malpua/jelabi store was so cool. I hardly expected him to so quickly make the connection between an American, in/from Vietnam...and then instantly asked if Max was a soldier...and when Max couldn't understand the question (or more specifically, his pronunciation of the word "soldier")...he asked if Max fought in the Vietnam war. The gentleman obviously didn't realize that Max is too young to have fought in a war that was done-and-dusted even before Max was born, as he quipped.

Well it helps in their channel growth in here as you find the case with plenty other travel vloggers . India is the most populated country in the world , so they might as well stay in here until they reach a million subs . Redundancy is key here .People need to see their faces more often and as they are from usa their cpm is higher than avg youtuber . They then probably would look into more diversity and creative liberty I suppose . Untill then grind!

@@willybilly99 We can't say for sure if he was scammed because we don't know when this video was shot. Early season Alphonso box goes well above 1500. Currently I think you can get around for 400. The other person who tried to help knows nothing about Alphonso because he didn't know that it is sold per weight, and assumed a price of Rs.150/kg which is laughable. Also the seller showed a different variety which is sold per weight. Maybe he did over-price it, but I'm guessing it won't be by much.

Those shaal pata bowls are the best environment friendly way to serve food. Also those twrracotta cups for teas are another environment friendly way to serve drinks.
They have shaal pata plates too in Kolkata along with bowls, that are used for serving food in weddings and Durga Puja festival time.
The same name food, but tasting different is due to migration from different countries, cultural mixing with different countries that invaded us, different place or local accessibility to certain food preferences or choices, fusion foods that mix some north Indian with south Indian styles.
Coz that roundish malpua actually seemed a cross between north Indian flavour of the flat malpua's syrup spice and south indian bonda that are sweet round, but not syrupy.
And you are right about the sticky resins from mangoes that people can be allergic to.
I sometimes avoid the seed part or real fibrous ones, as I am more allergic to them.
The resins or excess fibres usually happens when too much chemicals are used for raising them.

Special is sometimes mispronounced as - *PESAL*

Go Back to the place you bought the mango and look up at the building.. actually it's best seen if you walk a little ahead and look back up to the height of the building ..We sometimes call it the LEANING TOWER of Kolkata ! The entire building is tilted forward ! It happened many years ago probably when the building was new due to subsidence, and has been thta way ever since. I've heard if you place anything on floor in the flats above, it rolls to the north! The building is so visibly tilted that as a kid i never walked under it, always crossed the stree and passed it 😅 coz i was scared it would fall over any time! It's a Wonder for real 😄

30:12 I think that swelling is not from the mango peel, but the sap coming from the stalk of mango is known for causing swelling(usually they keep multiple mangos together, so that sap sticks to nearby mango peels)
