- After her daughter was killed and then dismembered in what a judge called a “reprehensible and heinous” act, an emotional mother confronted the convicted murderer in court. Ashley Young, 31, went missing after going to a bar on Nov. 29 with Jared Chance in Eastown, Michigan. Young's mother, Kristine Young, didn't hold back when she addressed Chance in court. "You had no right to take her from me," she said. As she spoke, a box containing Ashley's ashes sat on the table beside her. #InsideEdition
The fact that he texted her mother that he would never hurt her AFTER killing and dismembering her...I can’t even think about how upsetting that is.

Edit: wow this got a lot of likes, pretty surprising to me. Well it's been obviously more than a year since this terrible event happened and I can only hope that the case was given the best outcome as possible but obviously for mother whose daughter was gruesomely murdered and dismembered in such a horrible way, there probably is no full healing because no matter what, her daughter is still dead and she's only left with the memories of her. I can only hope that one day this mother will finally be able to put this painful part of her life to rest and somehow move on and eventually find peace.
